He stared at Mo Beichan in disbelief.

"Mr Mo looked like an old man just a moment ago. How did he suddenly become young again? No, the main question should be: How did he become like this?"

Another husband, Yong Chong, frowned.

"I suspect he might have used some kind of forbidden technique to increase his supernatural abilities and hence turned into an old man."

Shang Chang immediately nodded. "That’s possible!"

He turned toward Su Yao.

"Sister Su, you really need to punish him properly this time. If he keeps doing such dangerous things, you’ll be the one who suffers in the end."

Hearing their words, Su Yao’s expression became even colder.

She already suspected that Mo Beichan had been hiding something from her.

Now, seeing his sudden aging and recovery, her suspicions only deepened.

She waited until he regained consciousness. Then she spoke coldly.

"Come to my office."

Mo Beichan slowly opened his eyes.

He looked at her for a moment before quietly following her.

Once they were alone inside her office, Su Yao finally lost her temper.

She grabbed a decorative stone from a nearby display shelf and hurled it toward Mo Beichan.

The stone was an expensive antique she had purchased at an auction.

Its polished surface was covered in delicate natural patterns, making it a valuable collector’s item.

However, Su Yao didn’t care about its value at that moment.

Bang! The stone struck Mo Beichan directly on the forehead.

He didn’t dodge. Fresh crimson blood immediately began seeping from the wound.

However, seeing him injured did nothing to calm Su Yao’s anger.

’These men are all the same! Why can’t they just behave themselves and let me enjoy my life in peace?’

She had chosen her husbands carefully, yet they continued causing problems for her.

The more she thought about it, the more irritated she became.

However, just as she was about to reprimand Mo Beichan again, she noticed something strange.

He was looking at her differently. There was no familiar pleading expression in his eyes.

Nor was there the usual desire to earn her forgiveness. Instead, his gaze was unusually calm.

Su Yao’s brows furrowed.

Before she could speak, Mo Beichan suddenly asked, "Would your syste, agree with you treating me like this?"

Su Yao froze and stared at him, shock written all over her face.

Ni Mengxue dedicated herself to producing solar panels and other electrical equipment, including fans, portable mini fans, cooling machines, air conditioners, and temperature-regulating clothes.

However, she soon realized just how exhausting the work was.

It took her an entire week just to complete the first batch of solar panels. Even then, the base still lacked a proper electricity network.

At first, Ni Mengxue planned to handle everything herself.

However, the system quickly reminded her that more information was now available on the residents’ cards.

Ni Mengxue immediately opened the resident management interface.

Sure enough, several new categories had appeared.

The first was occupation.

Every registered resident now had an occupation listed according to the work they had previously done. There was also a talent rating beside each occupation.

Interestingly, a person’s talent didn’t always match their previous profession. Ni Mengxue’s eyes brightened.

’Why am I doing everything myself when I already have so many people?’

She immediately typed "electrician" into the search bar.

Several names appeared. When she noticed Miley among them, her expression immediately turned cold.

She removed Miley from the list without hesitation.

’Hmph. That woman doesn’t deserve my sympathy, much less a job from me.’

Ni Mengxue still remembered how arrogantly Maria had looked down on her husband.

She had even been considering visiting that woman personally.

’How dare she look down on my husband?’

Ni Mengxue quickly pushed those thoughts aside and continued searching for suitable workers.

Meanwhile, Lu Yucai had been keeping a low profile ever since arriving at Fair Shallow Land.

He was now openly standing and walking since he had already got the most loyal subordinates and at the same time he didn’thave any enemies around him. So he and his subordinate decided to apply for a soldier’s position and slowly become the General.

Since this place belonged to Ni Mengxue, he would help her indirectly.

However, before they could officially apply, a system announcement suddenly appeared.

[Attention, all residents! A new position will soon become available: General. Every qualified resident will receive one opportunity to apply.]

The announcement immediately caused excitement throughout the base.

For the past several days, many ability users had been training constantly.

Those who had previously been Level Two had gradually reached Level Three, while many Level One ability users had advanced to Level Two.

At present, Level Three was considered one of the highest levels among the ordinary residents.

Lu Yucai had also absorbed a large number of zombie crystals since arriving and had already recovered to Level Three.

It wasn’t particularly impressive compared to the strength he had once possessed, but that no longer mattered.

What mattered was that he was recovering.

As Lu Yucai walked through the base, he couldn’t help noticing how drastically the place had changed.

Previously, the buildings had been scattered across the land like seeds carelessly thrown into a field.

Now, everything was far more organized.

Two long rows of buildings stood opposite each other, temporarily divided into Building Area A and Building Area B.

Wide paths separated the residential sections, making the entire base feel more spacious and orderly.

Several proper roads had also appeared, connecting the residential district to the other areas.

The old market area had disappeared completely. In its place were several newly constructed foundations.

After examining them, Lu Yucai quickly realized what they were meant for. ’Shops.’

Ni Mengxue was clearly planning to establish permanent stores and create more employment opportunities for the residents.

Lu Yucai felt increasingly complicated as he looked around.

As he continued walking, he overheard two boys talking nearby. Neither looked older than twelve.

"Thank goodness we decided to leave Silent Knight Base and come here."

The other boy nodded. "We’ll have to start paying rent, but at least nobody here looks down on us."

He smiled as he patted his chest. "And the food is really cheap too."
