Chapter 926: Chapter 330: Buy a Car, Get a Car Model? (2)

Zhao Chunxue: "Being your girlfriend comes with such good perks? Anyway, I won’t say more, I’m in the bathroom now. I need to quickly get to the booth. You better hurry over, remember to bring some glucose, I feel a bit hypoglycemic from hunger."

Yang Chen bought some glucose liquid and brought a serving of stir-fried noodles with sea cucumber to the car exhibition site.

Zhao Chunxue, whose body was about to give in, saw Yang Chen arrive, quickly informed the manager, and took the food to the back to eat.

It’s almost the new year, and the girlfriends have all performed very well over the past year, so Yang Chen planned to reward each of them with a car.

Last time, he rewarded them with BMW Z4s; this time, it’ll be Mercedes-Benzes.

Yang Chen called over manager Zhao Xin and asked, "Handsome, can you recommend some cars suitable for girls? Just pretty and comfortable, no need for high horsepower, and not seeking speed."

Zhao Xin looked at the Mi Tuan uniform on Yang Chen and fell into deep thought. A delivery rider can afford a Mercedes-Benz now?

Or, if you can afford a Mercedes, why still deliver food?

Yang Chen guessed Zhao Xin’s thoughts and immediately rolled up his sleeves, saying, "It’s quite hot in here."

Zhao Xin immediately noticed the Patek Philippe Sky Moon watch on Yang Chen’s wrist, and his eyes widened.

"Wow, now even delivery riders can wear a two-million-dollar watch? As the general manager of Beijing Benz’s Hai City branch, I’m actually worse off than a delivery guy?" Zhao Xin thought to himself, suddenly feeling a bit inadequate.

Beijing Auto and Mercedes-Benz teamed up to open a joint venture company called Beijing Benz.

The company not only produces joint venture Mercedes-Benz cars but is also responsible for expanding Mercedes-Benz’s sales channels in Dragon Country.

Beijing Benz and All-Star Group control over 70% of Mercedes-Benz’s sales channels in Dragon Country.

Many people buy Mercedes cars that are actually models produced by this joint venture company, not imported from the original Mercedes-Benz factory.

At today’s car exhibition, even though the Mercedes-Benz area is showcasing Mercedes cars, the staff on site are not from one company. It’s split equally between Beijing Benz and All-Star Group.

Yang Chen had already shown his capability, so Zhao Xin dared not slack off and quickly greeted with a smile, "Sir, please this way. Let me show you some cars suitable for ladies. May I ask your name?"

Yang Chen: "Yang Chen."

Zhao Xin: "Okay. Ah? Yang Chen? Are you the President Yang of Star Investment who just acquired 15% of Mercedes-Benz Group’s equity?"

Yang Chen: "Shh... Don’t say a word. I don’t want others to know my identity, just treat me as a regular customer."

Zhao Xin swallowed, realizing a big shot was undercover as a delivery man for a secret visit.

"Mr. Yang, this way please. I’ll show you the cars now," Zhao Xin quickly said.

He better serve him well, as rumor has it that the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Dragon Country was ousted by Star Investment for misconduct, even convening a shareholder meeting to do so.

Zhao Xin certainly didn’t want to face such a penalty, especially without the support of a company like All-Star Group behind him.

"Mr. Yang, how about this Mercedes A-Class AMG?" Zhao Xin pointed at the car and asked.

On display was a red car, looking quite sleek, a good choice for girls.

At this time, Liu Qiang from All-Star Group came over with a few people.

Leading this group was coal boss Huang Dafu from West Mountain Province.

Huang Dafu said with a smile, "We don’t lack cars, if it’s not particularly enticing, we’re not buying. Do you have any promotions at Mercedes? Like, buying a car and getting a model?"

"Haha..." The accompanying people laughed.

Liu Qiang immediately replied, "As long as the bosses like it, giving car films is no big deal."

Obviously, these two were not on the same wavelength; one jokingly wanted a model, the other thought he meant car films.

Huang Dafu: "Really? You said it. Let’s go in and take a look."

As they walked in, they saw Yang Chen checking out the cars.

The Huang family are hereditary coal mine owners; in his grandfather’s time, they already had a mine manager. He took over the family business.

Originally, his grandfather and father wanted him to study hard, get into a prestigious university, or even study abroad to learn advanced management skills, so after taking over the family business, he could elevate the company to greater heights.

After all, coal is a sunset industry, with tighter government control, and their family couldn’t rely on coal mining for generations. They hoped he would return from his studies to expand into new businesses.

But this guy thought differently, "With so much money at home, why should I suffer like poor kids and study hard?"

With the current trend, at least his generation could still continue mining, and as for expanding into other businesses, he left that to future descendants while he just needed to maintain the status quo and enjoy life.

The difference between reading and not reading is indeed significant, it’s an undeniable fact.

Always idling around, Huang Dafu liked to lead a group of followers and show off, picking on the weak.

From fifth grade until now, he’s always lived like this.

So seeing someone in a delivery uniform looking at a Mercedes, almost instinctively, he said, "Damn, when did Mercedes become so mediocre that even delivery guys can buy? If you’re so mediocre, I won’t buy. Imagine sharing the same car model with a delivery guy, how disgraceful would that be?"

Liu Qiang quickly said, "President Huang is joking, how could a delivery guy afford a Mercedes? If it were you, sure you could buy a Mercedes, but why deliver food then? Don’t you agree? They’re probably just wandering in for a look, taking photos to show off on social media. You know."
