Chapter 946: Chapter 336: Isn’t This Just Giving Him Free Rewards?

After witnessing Yang Chen’s formidable second cousin, Wang Yuwei and her friends became much more subdued.

They understood that their status couldn’t compare to a big shot who spends millions at SKP every year; just a word from Yang Chen, and his second cousin would surely kick them out.

Yang Chen smiled and said, "Wang Yuwei, do you come here often?"

Wang Yuwei immediately raised her head with a proud look and replied, "Of course. As long as I’m in Beijing, I come at least three times a week."

Zheng Wei: "Yuwei, you’re really something. Coming here three times a week, I don’t even dare go to Carrefour that often each week."

Wang Yuwei: "Girls have only a few golden years, so of course, we shouldn’t shortchange ourselves. Are we supposed to wait till we’re old to start treating ourselves well? By then, even if you want to have fun, you won’t be able to; understanding that too late is useless."

Zheng Wei nodded, further breaking down her psychological defenses.

If Wang Yuwei used a bit of a tactic today, she’d succumb just like Ruan Wan, becoming another member of Wang Yuwei’s shopping group.

Wang Yuwei said that every socialite joining the group has to pay her 500 yuan as a membership fee. It seems like not much, unable to support such a luxurious lifestyle of hers.

But!

The group has a rule where any group purchase must use Wang Yuwei’s membership card.

This way, Wang Yuwei is bound to get discounts and gifts from major brands.

She makes quite a bit from this since these are luxury brands, and any random point exchange or discount means a substantial amount of money.

Of course, her main income is baiting wealthy men, having them pay for things, and then reselling to brand shops, second-hand stores, or even to socialites in the group at original prices.

In short, the more people in the socialite group, the more Wang Yuwei earns.

So, it makes sense why she wants to include Li Yunxi as a member of the group.

She intentionally had Li Yunxi see this group, allowing her to learn about it and experience the socialite lifestyle, ultimately pulling her in.

Li Yunxi’s parents were university professors, her dad even an expert in history and archaeology. Her family, let’s say, was never short on money. Moreover, she received a strict upbringing, so how could she easily be persuaded to become a fake socialite?

Yang Chen smiled and said, "Then let’s have Miss Wang as our guide and take us around."

Wang Yuwei: "No problem! We’ll check out LV later when we leave. I have a bag to pick up, and I’ll take you in to have a look. Let’s first check out other brands."

The group followed Wang Yuwei to wander around.

Wang Yuwei took everyone to start from the underground supermarket.

The fruits here were really pricey, a pomelo for 260 yuan, a bunch of grapes for 650 yuan...

Li Yunxi: "Things here are getting more expensive."

Wang Yuwei smiled smugly, as if she owned the place, and said, "Totally normal! It’s the second-ranked globally and top in the country mall. If things were cheap, wouldn’t everyone flock here? It’s because they’re expensive that it shows the nobility of the customers here."

Yang Chen asked, "Ma’am, what kind of grapes are these to be so expensive?"

The saleswoman smiled and replied, "These are Shine Muscat from Japan, seedless with a fragrance similar to roses and an incredibly sweet taste. You can try one; if you don’t like it, you don’t have to buy it, no problem at all."

Yang Chen was quite pleased with this saleswoman’s attitude; this is how a salesperson should behave. Regardless of whether a customer can afford it or not, the service and attitude must be there.

Yang Chen picked one up and tried it; as the saleswoman described, it indeed tasted better than ordinary grapes.

Seeing Yang Chen try one, Wang Yuwei quickly took two, one to taste and one to hide in her palm, to flaunt later.

She had already thought up the caption.

"Went to SKP today to pick up a pre-ordered LV bag, suddenly craved grapes, so I bought the Shine Muscat from Japan. After going through a few at once, only one was left. The taste was okay, a bit better than ordinary grapes. But eating too many becomes the same, nothing exceptional after all."

This caption, paired with the LV bag and a few suggestive photos of herself, would immediately attract a horde of followers.

Yang Chen thought they tasted quite nice, so he asked, "In this weather, how long can they last without refrigeration?"

The saleswoman promptly replied, "Without affecting the taste, about two or three days."

Yang Chen: "Okay, give me a few bunches then."

The saleswoman immediately nodded happily and said, "Sure, sure. How many bunches would you like, handsome?"

Yang Chen: "Four bunches."

The saleswoman: "Sure, sure. I’ll wrap them up for you."

Li Yunxi quickly whispered, "Bro, that’s a bit over the top. 650 per bunch, and you’re getting 4 bunches, that’s... uhh... four times six is twenty-four, two thousand six hundred disappeared?"

Wang Yuwei and her friends were also stunned by Yang Chen’s behavior.

Wang Yuwei: "How much do you earn a month?"

Yang Chen: "I’ve been a bit lazy recently, around five thousand; not running much. After deducting fuel and stuff, I net about two thousand."

Ruan Wan: "Are you insane? You net only two thousand a month, and you’re spending 2600 on four bunches of grapes? What’s going on in your mind? Don’t you spend any money when dating Yunxi?"
