Chapter 759: Encountering a Divine Thought

"You’ve stirred up plenty of trouble yourself. Next time, I’ll refine a Dao Body that looks exactly like you and go spread your good name around."

Ye Tianling sneered.

Que De shivered and immediately backed down, changing the subject. "Ahem, what was I—Lord Que—just saying? Right, the Celestial Ladder! It’s unstable. What are you going to do about it?"

Once Ye Tianling had recovered, he began to slowly condense and transform the Primordial Runes.

The moment he sensed something amiss, he would immediately absorb Origin Energy from the Space-Time Soul-locking Tower to recover.

Fortunately, the Space-Time Soul-locking Tower had a large store of energy. Moreover, the resources he had seized from the many cultivators he’d slain had nearly all been refined into Origin Energy and stored away. Otherwise, this undertaking would have likely been far more difficult.

Another two days seemed to pass.

Ye Tianling finally finished condensing the Primordial Rune. He transformed the fully formed Primordial Rune into an engraving, using his Xuanyuan Celestial Evil Sword to carve it onto certain areas of the Celestial Ladder.

As the final Rune was carved, Ye Tianling’s figure vanished in a flash.

It was as if he had been sucked by some force into a space within the Celestial Ladder.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Que De rushed over as well.

The world shifted once more, and Que De’s figure also vanished from the Celestial Ladder.

The Celestial Ladder shattered. Step by step, the stairs broke away and plummeted downward.

It was as if the area beyond the shattered structure was a bottomless Dark Abyss of nothingness, and the steps tumbled into it, falling endlessly.

...

As he passed through a stretch of void, Ye Tianling was crushed by a powerful Space Power. The defensive effects of his Mirror Flower Water Moon Battle Armor activated automatically, blocking nearly all of the terrifying, shredding force.

Even so, Ye Tianling still felt the illusion of his bones being pulverized.

He emerged from the Void, and his Mirror Flower Water Moon Battle Armor was awash in the flowing glow of countless Runes. It made him look as if his entire body was carved with incredibly Spiritual Dao Patterns.

Ye Tianling scanned his surroundings but saw no sign of Que De.

The surroundings were gloomy and cold. He was in a wild, mountainous forest, as if he had stepped off the Celestial Ladder on Purgatory Purple Mountain and into the mountain range itself.

Ye Tianling waited for a moment, but Que De was still nowhere to be found. He realized the Celestial Ladder’s teleportation must follow certain rules. Que De had likely been transported here as well, just not to the same location.

’I hope that rat is alright. With that Tattered Daoist Robe of his, he should be able to withstand the crushing Space Power. Say what you will about that rat, but his skill at appraising treasures is truly top-notch.’

Ye Tianling murmured to himself. No longer worried about Que De, he headed directly toward the source of the ancient Hidden Dragon Shackles’ aura.

That’s right—the Hidden Dragon Shackles.

After entering this region, Ye Tianling could clearly sense the aura of the Hidden Dragon Shackles.

The aura was very close; clearly, its source was no longer far from him.

Ye Tianling traveled through the mountain forest. This time, he encountered no obstacles.

Although he faced many deadly perils along the way, his Mirror Flower Water Moon Battle Armor defended against nearly all of them.

Furthermore, Ye Tianling could release the auras of both Samadhi Celestial Fire and the Hell Thunder Tribulation. As a result, ferocious Yin Spirits, murderous Divine Thought, and other bizarre, malevolent entities didn’t approach him. On the contrary, upon sensing his presence, they immediately fled.

Soon, Ye Tianling reached the midway point of the Purple Mountain and arrived at the Nine Dragon Ridge.

There was a cliff here.

The cliff formed a corresponding relationship with the main peak.

It was as if the Nine Dragons had all been decapitated, their heads offered as a sacrifice to the solitary main peak.

Now that he was on the mountainside, Ye Tianling discovered that the nine cliffs actually formed a circular, ring-like cross-section.

At the cliff’s edge, the ground was a reddish-black color. A dark purple light occasionally flowed across its surface, like long-dried blood.

The moment Ye Tianling stepped into this area, a chill ran through his body.

Just then, a terrifying Divine Sense swept out and fell upon him.

That’s right—Divine Sense.

Not awareness, not Spiritual Sense, but true Divine Sense.

Ye Tianling had encountered Divine Power before and was extremely sensitive to powers of the Divine Level.

In an instant, his Soul Talent contracted, forming a one-meter defensive field around his body. He felt as if he had been plunged into an icy cavern!

’There’s a Divine Spirit here!’

Without hesitation, Ye Tianling summoned the Baiyu Demon God Radiant Bow. He gathered the Power of Demon God within it and assumed a combat stance.

After the Divine Sense scanned Ye Tianling, an ethereal figure manifested before the ridge, blocking the only path to the main peak.

Before Ye Tianling’s eyes, the ethereal figure coalesced, transforming into a man with a Crystal Skeleton and crystal wings.

His entire body was the color of crystal, as if he wore no clothes and was sculpted entirely from the material.

But his divine aura, combined with a chilling presence like that of a Yin Spirit, was enough to make anyone wary.

Although the being appeared male, it lacked any distinctively male features.

This trait was surprisingly similar to Feng Chaoge, someone Ye Tianling had met before.

Ye Tianling was reluctant to compare this sinister being to Feng Chaoge. Feng Chaoge’s power skewed toward the Yang, whereas this entity was utterly Yin and evil.

After the bizarre man appeared, his crystal eyes stared coldly at Ye Tianling as if he were already a corpse.

"This is not a place you should be. Get lost!"

The man spoke, his voice sinister and androgynous.

The voice itself was actually quite pleasant to the ear, but upon hearing it, Ye Tianling felt a stabbing pain in his Soul and a chill seeped into his bones.

He possessed the Supreme Yang Samadhi Celestial Fire and the Origin of the Hell Celestial Tribulation, yet he still felt cold. This was a testament to how profoundly Yin and evil this creature was.

’Except... the being’s behavior seemed to show a slight wariness toward me?’

Ye Tianling sensed there was more to it, but he couldn’t quite grasp the full situation.

Ye Tianling took a step back but didn’t immediately leave.

But just then, the man’s icy aura suddenly expanded. A destructive, divine might gathered like a tidal wave and surged, crashing down upon Ye Tianling.

This was a clear burst of killing intent—it seemed the man had confirmed something, prompting him to strike a ruthless, killing blow.

"Wait!"

Ye Tianling’s voice deepened as he said, "The mutated Life Soul Poison, the green-furred Chaos, is about to erupt! I came looking for a way to stop it!"

Ye Tianling believed that even though this region was isolated, Feng Chaoge and this man shared some very god-like similarities. That being the case, perhaps there was some karmic link between them.

Whether he was right or not, he had to give it a try.

Sure enough, as he spoke, the killing intent froze in place.

"HAHAHAHAHA—"

Hearing this, the Crystal-Winged Man actually started to laugh.

It was a laugh full of contempt and ridicule.
