"I want to adopt that brother and sister. Without Nia, it feels like my world has collapsed. I really need children by my side to help me, to give me a hand. I won’t get married again, and I won’t have any more children. If I adopt them, I’ll certainly love them just as I loved Nia."

Sister Grace is truly afraid that if she doesn’t find something else to do, she won’t be able to hold on.

She wants to adopt those two children and be a mother once more.

Jane Sampson subconsciously glanced at Old Master Black and seeing no change in his expression, she worriedly said, "Sister Grace, adopting children requires certain conditions, and with your current situation, it might be a bit difficult."

"I know." Sister Grace lowered her head and then said, "But back then, when Mr. Miller was still alive, he once considered entrusting the children to me, so I thought I’d give it a try. What if? What if it works?"

"I’m sorry, Jane." Sister Grace apologized with guilt in her heart, "I know I’m being really selfish here, knowing why Mr. Miller came to me back then, yet still coming to you and bringing this up."

"I’m not angry." Jane Sampson shook her head.

She had already been a mother, so she understood this kind of feeling mothers have.

Nia’s sudden passing was really a tremendous blow to Sister Grace, and Jane Sampson could understand Sister Grace’s thought to adopt kids to fill that void.

However, she worried that James Black might not be pleased.

"How about this, Sister Grace, you go back first. We need to think it over. Wait for my call, and once we’ve considered it, we’ll get back to you." Jane Sampson didn’t immediately answer Sister Grace.

"Even if we don’t help you, we won’t stop you." Old Master Black said, "If Jane hasn’t called you two days later, you can contact the relevant organizations to inquire whether you can adopt those two children. If you can, feel free to adopt them, and we won’t interfere."

"Thank you, thank you." Sister Grace kept expressing her gratitude, and then she got up and left the Black Family home.

After sending Sister Grace off, Jane Sampson returned to sit beside Old Master Black.

"When James calls me tonight, I’ll bring this up to him to see how he reacts." Jane Sampson said, "The fate of these two children is both made and broken by Rachel Miller."

"What’s most helpless is Rachel Miller and her brother." Old Master Black remarked, "The entire conscience of the Miller Family seems concentrated in these two brothers."

But in terms of innocence, the most innocent of all was his prematurely deceased daughter.

Old Master Black’s hatred for the Miller Family ran deeply to the bone.
