Chapter 2714 - 2732: Accomplice

Yvette Quick had disliked Emily Lancaster before, and she still doesn’t like Emily Lancaster now.

Before, it wasn’t that Emily Lancaster was wrong for having a crush on a boy, nor was it wrong for her to work hard to become a more outstanding person because of her crush.

It was purely a matter of discordant aura, purely because Yvette Quick knew Jane Sampson first, so she stood on Jane Sampson’s side and favored Jane Sampson.

But now, due to these events and the scene she witnessed downstairs just now, Yvette Quick truly and sincerely dislikes Emily Lancaster.

"To break off the engagement, she does so many things, and then wants to use the excuse of apologizing to see James Black. She’s quick to think, but she regards everyone as fools." Thomas Lancaster shook his head, "One step leads to another, a single careless move and you become her accomplice."

"She probably learned all these tactics while studying abroad for so many years." Yvette Quick glanced at Thomas Lancaster, "When I see you, I think of Emily Lancaster, and when I think of Emily Lancaster, it really pisses me off. You will sleep in the guest room tonight."

"I didn’t do anything wrong, I won’t go." Thomas Lancaster directly lay down on the bed.

Jane Sampson is pregnant, and even Yvette Quick herself was half-dead from being angered by Emily Lancaster, so she didn’t tell Jane Sampson the words that Emily Lancaster came by to say, worried that it might upset the pregnant woman too.

At the Black Residence, when James Black came out of the bath room, Jane Sampson was already nestled in the quilt, not even revealing a strand of hair.

James Black thought Jane Sampson was asleep, so he quietly lay down beside her. Jane Sampson was sleeping on her side, and James Black reached around her waist with one hand, the other hand went to tug at her quilt.

But unexpectedly, as soon as the quilt was pulled down, Jane Sampson suddenly turned her head, eyes wide open, staring at him rather gloomily.

"You’re not asleep yet?" James Black asked.

Originally thought to be asleep, it turns out she was burying her head in the quilt playing games on her mobile phone.

She muted the game sounds, still absorbed in playing Angry Birds.

"No more playing." James Black reached out and took Jane Sampson’s mobile phone away, placing it on his side of the bedhead cabinet, then pulled her body over to lean against him, "Close your eyes and sleep."

Jane Sampson sighed softly, "Ah."

Muttering quietly, "Will you come back every evening from now on? It’s such a sweet burden."

"You just need someone to keep you in check." James Black’s fingertips tickled Jane Sampson’s waist, Jane Sampson was ticklish, and instinctively shrank away, then burst into giggles.

"Just now, Sister Yvette Quick texted me on WhatsApp saying Emily Lancaster went to find Thomas Lancaster. Sister Yvette Quick said she would give me live updates, but it’s been so long and there’s still no response." Jane Sampson was very curious.

"I’m not going to see her, what are you waiting for?" James Black said, "Emily Lancaster went to find Thomas Lancaster, simply wanting to see you."

"So do you think I should meet her? See if your secret admirer is now ravaged or still a heavenly beauty?" Jane Sampson lifted her small head and asked James Black, "Do you want to know?"

"What does her appearance have to do with me? Heavenly beauty, isn’t that a term to describe my wife? Who else could use this term?" James Black teased Jane Sampson softly, "Isn’t the woman lying in my arms the world’s first beauty? Holding the world’s first beauty, how could I look at anyone else?"

Jane Sampson blinked, unexpected.

She never would have thought that James Black also had moments that could make her delighted.
