"Are you saying that Emily is now waiting at the doorway of the courtyard?" Yvette asked, "When did she start waiting there? How long has she been waiting?"

"Around 6 o’clock, maybe not long after James left, she showed up shortly after that, and she’s still waiting there. Aunt says she’s wearing little, standing at the doorway shivering cold, making people feel sorry for her." Jane Sampson said, "Aunt feels really bad and wanted me to call Thomas, but I won’t. She’s just doing it intentionally for show, she loves acting, so let her act then."

"Not bad, you actually know Emily’s acting." Yvette praised Jane Sampson, "Looks like your reason hasn’t been toppled by jealousy."

"Jealousy, what jealousy? I’m not jealous at all, James hasn’t seen her, what is there for me to be jealous about, it’s just the way she’s doing it, it’s like she’s intentionally being irritating." Jane Sampson said, "I think Emily’s mindset is pretty malicious."

"Yvette, think about it, Emily was there waiting since before 6 o’clock, so she’s surely waiting for James, not me. Unfortunately, James left the house early today, she didn’t get to see him. Normally, by 7 o’clock, if she has any brains, she’d know James has already left, so she can’t wait to see him. Normally, if she’s adamant about waiting for James, she should leave or go to the base to find James, right?"

"But the problem now is that it’s already past 8 o’clock, and Emily is still standing there waiting. Isn’t she doing it intentionally for me to see, purposely letting me know she’s here today waiting to see James?" Jane Sampson puffed her cheeks with anger, "She doesn’t leave, so it turns into intentionally waiting for me to see. Does she also think I’ll get angry and go out to see her?"

"If you get angry and go out to see her, her goal is subtly achieved. She suggested seeing you when she came yesterday, if you don’t go out and stay inside the house sulking, she still wouldn’t have waited in vain or suffered the cold for nothing, at least she made you angry and unhappy.

" Yvette said, "Emily is someone who is most adept at doing things that harm the enemy by a thousand and herself by eight hundred. Yvette laughed coldly, "Last night Emily said she wanted Thomas to put in a good word, to bring her to see you, Thomas refused, saying James spoke to us, no one can help Emily. "Today you just don’t go out then, let Emily stand there waiting, let her wait well. I want to see how long she can wait." Yvette said.

"Mm." Jane Sampson said, "I wasn’t planning to go out today anyway, just finished a meal. The sun’s come out now, planning to take Great General’s family and Aunt in the courtyard to walk the dog."

"The sun is out, but it’s chilly outside now, remember to wear a coat before going out." Yvette reminded.

"Mm." Jane Sampson said, crying and laughing, "You’re just like James, I’m already grown up, if I’m cold it’s my own problem. James isn’t home, who would I be cold for to see?"
