Jane Sampson saw the fans’ messages and burst into laughter, and only then did she realize the doctor was already tidying up her medical box.

"Is it done?" Jane was puzzled, glanced down at her shoulder, and noticed a creamy white ointment had been applied to her wound, carrying a faint herbal scent.

"All done." The female doctor smiled, "Did your attention being diverted mean you didn’t feel any pain? It’s a small wound, but your skin is sensitive, so I applied some ointment to prevent scarring."

"Thank you, doctor." Jane quickly expressed her gratitude.

"It’s my duty. Continue with your work, if you need anything, give me a call." After speaking, the female doctor said to Gwendolyn Young, "Let’s get together sometime. I’ll head off now."

"I’ll see you out." Gwendolyn got up to escort her friend out.

After the doctor left, Jane sat back down and looked at the wound on her shoulder again, then suddenly exclaimed, "Oh no!"

The shout startled everyone in the room.

"What’s wrong? What happened?" Brooke Black quickly asked.

"Once James Black gets back, he’ll definitely know I bid for a watch to give him as a gift. Oh, there goes the surprise!" Jane slapped her thigh in frustration, "Those guys are so terrible! They ruined my plan!"

Oscar Wilson and his group simply rolled their eyes at Jane Sampson.

"That’s what got you all worked up, scared me thinking it was something serious." Oscar patted his chest and asked, "Little Jane, could it be that one pregnancy turns you dumb for three years? Do you think despite your rare attendance at the auction, James Black wouldn’t care, even if he’s at the base?"

"Do you realize, before you even step out of the guest house, James knows which auction item you looked at twice? All the bidding you did, what you won, what you didn’t win, do you really think you can hide it from James?" Oscar asked Jane, "So, are you being silly? It’s not your first day knowing your husband’s personality, right?"

"When you go to an auction, whatever you want, even if you don’t win it, James will find a way to get it for you as a gift. So, whatever catches your eye at an auction, James is bound to know." This time, Oscar gave Jane a pat on her other shoulder, "Silly girl, how deep are James’s schemes? Are you really unaware of the pit you’re in?"

Jane shook her head honestly, "I truly didn’t think about it this way."

So, what’s the surprise?

It turns out, just when she started bidding, James might already know from the base, and when she won the bid, he was probably already happy over there. "Anyway, you’re going to give it to him, whether he knows now or later, it’s all the same." Oscar said, "Anyway, from all the couple’s mushy talk, I’ve gained three pounds from it."

Covering her mouth, Jane sat there with a radiant smile.

"Look at how happy you are, your tail’s practically wagging in heaven." Oscar felt he couldn’t bear to watch.

Jane pursed her lips but couldn’t suppress the intense laughter, so she picked up her mobile phone to divert her attention.

Seeing fans discussing the baby’s gender and lots of fans curious if James prefers a son or a daughter, Jane replied under one of the fans’ questions.
