Fami did not readily accept Kotone Asaba’s proposed alliance.

Naturally, Kotone had not expected Fami to trust him immediately either.

Fortunately, proving his strength was simple enough. Kotone simply cast a genjutsu on Fami.

The genjutsu took effect instantly. Fami did not even realize she had fallen under it. All she knew was that Kotone’s strange eyes seemed to have done something to her.

"Give me your hand."

Kotone suddenly spoke.

Fami had no idea what he meant, but the next moment, she discovered that her hand had actually stretched toward him. Worse, it was completely beyond her control. No matter how hard she tried to pull it back, she simply couldn’t!

Although Fami immediately realized that Kotone must have somehow taken control of her, she had never encountered a method of control like this before.

She would certainly recognize the Control Devil’s ability to control others, for example, but what Kotone was doing was completely different.

"What did you do to me?"

For the first time, a trace of emotion appeared on Fami’s face.

Fami remained silent for a while before finally saying, "I understand. But from now on, you have to keep me well fed."

With Kotone possessing such an unknown method of controlling her, she did not have much of a choice.

If she refused, he could simply force her to obey. If she accepted, at least she would get all the food she wanted.

"Of course. You can eat whatever you want."

Kotone nodded.

"Even though you won’t let me go through with my plan, I still recommend that you deal with the War Devil. Having her help would only increase our chances of success. You could use that control ability of yours on her."

Fami offered the suggestion.

Kotone had already released her from the genjutsu by this point.

"I’ll consider it. We’ll see what happens later."

He did not reject the idea outright. After all, if the time came and he truly couldn’t deal with that prophecy himself, then he would have to consider Fami’s proposal.

Fami did not say anything else and simply continued eating the few desserts that remained.

It did not take her long to finish them all. Seeing that she was done, Kotone was about to go pay the bill when Fami stopped him.

"Wait. You just promised to keep me fed. Bring me three more servings of everything I had earlier. That should be about enough."

"Three more servings? ...Fine."

Kotone went to find the server and placed another order. He had only just made that promise to Fami, after all.

"Three more servings?!"

The server stared at him in shock.

There were only two people at the table, Fami and the boy in front of her, yet they had ordered enough food in total that even twenty people might have trouble finishing it all. It was completely ridiculous!

"I’ll pay the bill now. How much is everything?"

The server snapped out of her daze and quickly calculated the total.

Not long after Kotone paid, the additional desserts began arriving one after another.

About ten minutes later, Fami had once again demonstrated her usual consistency and finished every last dessert.

For a while now, Kotone had been sitting across from her with his chin resting on one hand, silently watching Fami devour everything in sight.

"You’ve got to be satisfied now, right?"

Fami wiped her mouth with a napkin.

"More or less. I’ll leave dinner to you too."

It was only noon, yet she already seemed to have decided what she wanted to eat that evening.
