Chapter 242: Chapter 177: Taking Silu to Experience a Luxury Private Jet?

For the past two days, Jiang Silu had been completely absorbed in designing her entry for the semifinals.

Her preliminary round design had been good, so the senior students had asked her to take on an additional portion of the work.

Almost a third of the semifinal design was left for Jiang Silu to complete.

This was proving to be a real challenge for her.

After all, the semifinals placed a much greater emphasis on the design’s artistic sense.

Jiang Silu kept revising the parts she had designed, but she was never satisfied.

She had even gone to the library to look up reference materials and searched online for case studies.

But she kept running into the same design concepts over and over.

There was nothing creative about them.

Feeling a bit helpless, she had no choice but to return to her dorm, planning to seek help from the senior students.

But just as she was about to enter her dorm building, she saw Jiali standing at the entrance to the courtyard.

Jiang Silu subconsciously thought Lu Fan had come and immediately looked around.

Jiali walked up to her and said with a smile, "Your father didn’t come today. He asked me to give you some portfolios. They might help with your design concepts."

Jiang Silu was surprised that Lu Fan had somehow guessed her current predicament.

She took the portfolios and professional magazines from Jiali, saying happily, "Thank you, Sister Jiali."

"Don’t mention it. Keep up the good work. Once you finish your design, your father has a surprise for you," Jiali said with a laugh.

With that, she left.

Jiang Silu was a little puzzled.

’A surprise? What kind of surprise?’

Jiang Silu had no idea what Sister Jiali was up to, nor did she know what this surprise from her father could possibly be.

But for now, the portfolios in her hands were the biggest surprise of all.

She immediately took them back to her room, unwrapped them, and began to browse through them seriously.

While she was doing so, Song Miaomiao came over. Seeing the collections of outstanding case studies from both home and abroad, she was stunned. "Lulu, where did you buy all these portfolios? There are so many! Quick, send me the link, I want them too."

Jiang Silu answered awkwardly, "Actually, my dad gave them to me. I don’t know where he got them from either."

"Wow, your dad is the best," Song Miaomiao said, once again filled with envy.

Although Song Miaomiao came from a good family and her parents doted on her, compared to Jiang Silu, she couldn’t help but be incredibly envious.

She asked timidly, "Lulu, can I borrow them for a look after you’re done?"

"Of course, no problem! We’re good sisters. Just take them when you want," Jiang Silu replied.

Song Miaomiao said happily, "Our Lulu is the best~"

Saying this, she gave Jiang Silu a hug.

She buried her head in her friend’s chest and, while there, asked curiously, "Lulu, have you developed more? I feel like you’ve gotten bigger again."

Jiang Silu’s face flushed red. "Hey, what nonsense are you talking? You little pervert."

"I’m serious," Song Miaomiao said, her envy returning. "Sometimes I’m so jealous of you. You’re pretty, have a great body, you’re smart, you get to be in competitions, and most importantly, you have a dad who’s so good to you."

Jiang Silu said awkwardly, "I’m not as great as you make me sound."

Just as the two were chatting, Song Miaomiao noticed a sticky note tucked inside one of the books.

She immediately pointed to it and said, "Lulu, look! There’s a note."

Jiang Silu picked up the note and saw that it was a handwritten message from Lu Fan.

[I heard you’re preparing for the semifinals. These might come in handy. —Lu Fan]

Song Miaomiao looked at Lu Fan’s handwriting and said in amazement, "Uncle Lu’s handwriting is beautiful! It’s like a calligrapher’s. That’s so rare."

Although Jiang Silu thought Song Miaomiao was exaggerating a bit, she had a point. In this day and age, it was indeed rare to find someone with such good handwriting.

Looking at the note in her hand, then at the portfolios and professional magazines on her desk, Jiang Silu couldn’t help but feel touched.

This gave her even more motivation to study and analyze the outstanding case studies.

After all, this was exactly the kind of material she’d always wanted to see but could never find.

She sent Lu Fan a message, attaching a photo: [I got them. Thank you. I’ll definitely work hard to finish my project.]

Lu Fan: [Are they useful?]

Jiang Silu: [Very useful.]

Lu Fan: [That’s good. Dad wasn’t sure if they’d be suitable. I had to ask a lot of professionals before sending them to you.]

Seeing how thoughtful Lu Fan was being, Jiang Silu was truly touched.

For the next few days, she was completely immersed in designing her project.

Although these days were a bit grueling, Jiang Silu felt it was worth it.

This was all part of the learning process.

Then one day, as she was flipping through the portfolios, she saw a design photo.

It was a small scene: an orchid planted in a corner, with a stone bench beside it.

She stared at the photo for a long time, and an idea suddenly sparked in her mind.

Jiang Silu clicked her mouse, drawing rapidly on the CAD draft.

She drew until midnight, and a prototype finally took shape.

She stretched, looking at the drawing, and suddenly felt a thrill of excitement.

Finally, one morning, Jiang Silu finished all of her design work.

She was so excited she even posted on her Moments: [Finally done! Hope I get a good result in the semifinals.]

Lu Fan was the first to like her post.

After seeing Lu Fan’s like, Jiang Silu sent him a message: [I finally finished my design. Thank you, your portfolios were incredibly useful.]

Lu Fan: [As long as they were useful.]

Lu Fan: [By the way, Silu, are you free tomorrow?]

Jiang Silu: [I have class in the morning, but I’m free in the afternoon. What’s up?]
