"It was you! You dare deny it?" Brother Dong sneered. "Got the guts to do it, but not to admit it, huh? You’re just a clown."

Lu Fan retorted, "If that’s the case, then how are you so sure it was me?"

"Because I reported you before, so you held a grudge!" Brother Dong blurted out angrily.

"Well, there you have it. You reported me, so I can’t report you back?" Lu Fan was toying with the skewer shop owner, looking at him as if he were a buffoon.

Brother Dong, wanting to make a scene, started blustering, "You people are just bullying honest folk! A couple running a shop, trying to monopolize the entire commercial street! Shameful!"

At this, Lu Fan stood up. He looked at the man with a serious expression, his face then darkening as he spoke. "If you had just cursed me out a bit, I might not have gotten that angry. But you just had to insult my wife. Now you’re finished."

As soon as Chen He heard Lu Fan’s words, he clenched his fists and walked up to Brother Dong.

Brother Dong immediately panicked. He took two steps back and stammered, "Wh-what are you trying to do?"

"Not trying to do anything. Just wanted to warn you. If you dare harass my wife again, your little skewer shop might not make it to next week," Lu Fan said calmly.

"Hmph, who do you think you’re scaring?" Brother Dong jabbed a finger at himself. "Let me tell you, I don’t scare easy."

"Your wife works as a cleaner at the Yu Hua Building, doesn’t she?" Lu Fan asked.

Hearing this, Brother Dong’s brow furrowed. "What are you getting at?"

"Nothing much. I just happen to know the general manager of the property group for the Yu Hua Building. The last time I was there, I felt the cleaning wasn’t quite up to snuff. I think it might be time to replace some of the cleaning staff," Lu Fan replied.

Seeing how convincingly Lu Fan spoke, Brother Dong felt his confidence waver. But to save face, he remained defiant. "Who do you think you’re kidding, putting on airs like that?"

"You don’t believe me?" Lu Fan smiled and dialed a number.

"Hello, Manager Liang?"
