Chasing His Ex: The Tycoon's Hidden Twins
Chapter 474 - 256: Jiang Silu: Brother, Mom Doesn’t Hate Dad Anymore. What About You?
"Look at you," Jiang Sifan said with a smile.
Wen Wan laughed, a little embarrassed.
When the car entered the East African Grassland Region, everyone was left speechless.
Herds of wildebeest galloped across the plains, kicking up clouds of dust.
A few lions were lounging on distant rocks, basking lazily in the sun, their manes fluttering in the wind.
A herd of elephants walked past the car. A baby elephant trailed behind its mother, its trunk swinging back and forth adorably.
The sky was an impossible blue, with a few white clouds drifting lazily by.
"Bro, look at that elephant! It's so tiny!" Jiang Silu exclaimed, pointing at the baby elephant outside the window.
Jiang Sifan leaned over for a look. The little elephant was clutching its mother's tail with its trunk, following her step by wobbly step.
Jiang Sifan watched for a few seconds before smiling. "It was probably born recently. Look how unsteady it is on its feet."
Watching the baby elephant, Wen Wan felt a strange, indescribable emotion wash over her.
'She remembered her own childhood, running through the fields and thinking her family would always be together. But then her mother changed, and their family fell apart. Now here she was, sitting in a black minivan at Changlong Wildlife Park, watching elephants. Next to her was Jiang Sifan, and in front of them were his father and mother.'
She looked down and swiped her finger across her phone screen, landing on the photo she had just taken.
It showed the baby elephant following its mother, its trunk wrapped around her tail.
She stared at the photo for several seconds before locking the screen.
"Sister Wen Wan, look at that!" Jiang Silu's voice pulled Wen Wan back to the present.
Wen Wan looked up, following Jiang Silu's pointing finger.
A flock of flamingos stood by the water's edge, their pink feathers reflecting on the surface like a rosy dawn.
Wen Wan quickly took a picture with her phone. Her hand didn't shake this time, and the photo turned out well.
After they finished the self-drive area, Guide Lin led them to the pedestrian zone.
The VIP tour treatment was truly different; every attraction had a dedicated entrance, so there was no need to wait in line.
They even had a private cable car cabin with transparent glass on all four sides, offering a panoramic view of the entire park.
As the cable car slowly ascended, the ground receded, and the whole of Changlong Wildlife Park spread out before them.
Grasslands, forests, lakes, and animals unfolded like a giant, magnificent scroll laid across the earth.
"Look, everyone! That's where we were driving just now," Jiang Silu said excitedly, pointing to a stretch of grassland in the distance.
Sure enough, the self-drive route snaked through the plains like a gray ribbon.
"That's the elephant area over there," Guide Lin explained. "And beyond that is Panda Paradise. We'll be heading there this afternoon."
Gazing at the scenery outside the window, Wen Wan suddenly felt her eyes grow warm.
'She remembered watching *Animal World* as a child. Every time they showed the great African savanna, she would think how wonderful it would be to see it in person. Later, when she grew up, she realized it was just a distant dream. The African savanna was too far away, a place she could never go.'
Now, standing in a cable car at Changlong Wildlife Park, she knew it wasn't the real African savanna, but the feeling of magnificence was the same.
She sniffled, holding back the tears before they could fall.
After getting off the cable car, Guide Lin took them to Panda Paradise, home to the world's only panda triplets: Meng Meng, Shuai Shuai, and Ku Ku.
The three pandas each had their own area. Meng Meng was sleeping, Shuai Shuai was eating bamboo, and Ku Ku was climbing a tree, its chubby body hanging precariously from a branch.
"It's going to fall!" Jiang Silu cried out nervously.
No sooner had the words left her mouth than Ku Ku tumbled from the tree. It did a little roll on the ground, then got back up and started climbing again as if nothing had happened.
Everyone burst out laughing.
Jiang Sifan stood before the enclosure, watching the little panda. Suddenly, he spoke. "Mom, do you remember that I used to draw giraffes when I was little?"
Jiang Yixia froze for a moment. She turned to her son, her eyes instantly turning red. Her voice choked up. "I remember."
"You said you'd take me to see real giraffes once you made enough money." Jiang Sifan gazed at the elephants in the distance, his tone casual, as if he were talking about something ordinary. "And then we just forgot about it, haha."
"It's my fault. I never took you." Jiang Yixia's voice trembled.
"It wasn't your fault." Jiang Sifan turned to look at Jiang Yixia and smiled. "We didn't have the money back then. I know."
Looking at her son's face, Jiang Yixia's tears finally fell.
She reached up to wipe them away, forcing a smile. "But we're here now."
Jiang Sifan nodded and smiled. "Yeah. We're here."
Standing nearby, Jiang Silu saw Jiang Yixia wiping her tears and quickly ran over. "Mom, why are you crying?" she asked with concern.
"It's nothing. I just got some sand in my eye," Jiang Yixia said with a smile.
Jiang Silu stood by her side for a moment, then went to link arms with Jiang Yixia. She reached out to tug on Jiang Sifan's sleeve and said with a smile, "Bro, come stand over here. Let's take a family picture."
Jiang Sifan paused, glancing at Jiang Silu, then at Jiang Yixia. After a moment's hesitation, he walked over.
Jiang Silu nudged Jiang Yixia into the middle, stood to her left, and then waved Jiang Sifan over.
Jiang Sifan took his place on Jiang Yixia's right.
"Dad! You get in here too!" Jiang Silu shouted to Lu Fan.
Lu Fan, who had been standing a short distance away, was startled when Jiang Silu called to him. He then smiled and walked over to stand beside her.
Wen Wan, standing next to Jiang Sifan with her phone in hand, offered, "I can take the picture for you."
