Chasing His Ex: The Tycoon's Hidden Twins
Chapter 504: Lu Fan’s Precious Gift to Everyone! Incredibly Touching
Chen He got out of the driver’s seat and opened the trunk. It was packed full of things.
Jiang Yixia stood in the doorway, a cleaning rag still in her hand. When she saw the packed trunk, her mouth opened, but she swallowed whatever she was about to say.
Wen Wan stood beside Jiang Yixia, nervously clutching the corner of her clothes.
Jiang Sifan came out of the house and stood in the doorway, not taking a step further. He looked at Lu Fan, and Lu Fan saw him too.
Their eyes met. A flicker of guilt and nervousness showed in Jiang Sifan’s eyes.
Lu Fan gave a slight nod, a small smile playing on his lips, but said nothing.
Jiang Sifan nodded back and looked away.
“Sifan, come help carry this stuff,” Lu Fan called out.
After a moment’s hesitation, Jiang Sifan walked over and pulled two bags from the trunk.
Jiang Silu had already run over. She pulled a box from the trunk, gave it a shake, and asked curiously, “Dad, what’s this?”
“It’s a gift for you,” Lu Fan said with a smile. “Stop shaking it, you’ll break it.”
Jiang Silu immediately put it down, clutching the box to her chest.
Lu Fan took a white paper bag out of the trunk and handed it to Wen Wan.
Wen Wan froze for a moment, not daring to take it.
“Go on, take it. It’s for you,” Lu Fan said, smiling.
Wen Wan glanced at Jiang Yixia, who gave her a nod.
Only then did she take it. She opened the bag; inside were two boxes.
One had “iPhone 17 Pro Max” written on it.
The other was the box for a laptop, silver and slim.
Wen Wan’s hands started to tremble.
She took out the phone box and opened it. Inside was the latest model of an iPhone, a golden one, its back glinting in the sunlight.
She then took out the laptop. It was unbelievably light and unbelievably slim.
Her eyes reddened, and her voice caught. “Uncle Lu, this is too expensive. I can’t accept this.”
“Of course you can,” Lu Fan said cheerfully. “I’ve seen your phone; you’re still using it even though the screen is cracked. And your laptop is way too old—it takes forever to start up. With new ones, things will be much smoother for you.”
Wen Wan shook her head and pushed the boxes back toward him. “Uncle Lu, I really can’t accept these. They’re too expensive…”
Jiang Silu ran over and took Wen Wan’s hand, saying earnestly, “Sister Wen Wan, just accept them. Your phone really needs an upgrade. It takes several seconds just to snap a picture. Last time, you said you wanted a new one but couldn’t bear to spend the money. This is a gift from my dad, it’s really fine.”
Wen Wan looked at Jiang Silu, then at Jiang Sifan.
Jiang Sifan stood nearby, still holding the two bags. Seeing Wen Wan’s reddened eyes, his heart ached a little.
He walked over and said softly, “Just take them.”
Wen Wan’s tears began to fall.
She wiped them away, nodded, and said in a small voice, “Thank you, Uncle Lu.”
Lu Fan smiled and waved it off, then pulled another box from the trunk and handed it to Jiang Silu.
“An eye massager. It’s imported. You draw often, which strains your eyes. This can help relax them and relieve fatigue,” Lu Fan explained.
Jiang Silu opened the box. Inside was a white, eye-mask-shaped device that was soft to the touch.
She looked at the instruction manual; it was covered in English that she couldn’t really read, but she knew it was something good.
“Thank you, Dad!” she said with a smile. She hugged the box, sat on the sofa, and started unwrapping the packaging to figure out how it worked.
Lu Fan glanced at Chen He again.
Chen He lifted a large box out of the trunk and carefully set it on the ground.
“Sifan, this one’s for you,” Lu Fan said, indicating the box.
Jiang Sifan walked over, squatted down, and opened the box.
Inside was a complete set of basketball gear: a jersey, sneakers, wristbands, a headband, and an autographed card.
The jersey was a signature edition from Owen, with his actual autograph on it. The handwriting was messy, but it was clearly his.
The sneakers were also Owen’s signature model, blue and white, with an autograph on the tongue.
Jiang Sifan’s hands were trembling.
“I had a friend in the United States get them. The complete set—jersey, sneakers, wristbands, headband, it’s all there,” Lu Fan said nonchalantly.
Jiang Sifan opened his mouth, wanting to say, “Thanks, Dad,” but the word “Dad” caught in his throat and wouldn’t come out.
His face flushed, and his ears felt hot. In the end, all he managed to say was, “Thanks.”
Lu Fan glanced at him. Without a word, he patted him on the shoulder.
Jiang Silu, who had been watching from the side, didn’t call him out on it, but she couldn’t stop her lips from curling into a smile.
Lu Fan turned to Jiang Yixia.
Jiang Yixia stood in the doorway, still clutching the rag, her face slightly flushed.
“I don’t need any gifts,” she said preemptively.
“Who said I bought you anything?” Lu Fan said, smiling.
Jiang Yixia froze for a second, her face turning a deeper shade of red as she turned to go back inside.
“Wait,” Lu Fan called out, beckoning to Chen He.
Chen He, along with another worker, lifted a large box out of the trunk, one even bigger than Jiang Sifan’s.
It was a wooden crate, nailed securely shut, with a line of English text printed on its side.
“This one’s for you,” Lu Fan explained.
Jiang Yixia turned around. Frowning, she looked at the large crate. “What is this?”
“A massage chair,” Lu Fan replied. “It’s imported—the best brand, top-of-the-line model. You’re on your feet all day at the flower shop, so your back must be sore. You can use this when you get home to relax. It’ll feel great.”
Jiang Yixia looked from the large crate to Lu Fan, at a loss for words.
Jiang Silu had already run over. She circled the crate once and exclaimed excitedly, “Mom, hurry up and try it!”
“Don’t unpack it. It’s too much trouble,” Jiang Yixia said, waving her hand dismissively.
“It’s no trouble, no trouble at all! Uncle Chen, help me unpack this,” Jiang Silu was already directing him.
