Chasing His Ex: The Tycoon's Hidden Twins
Chapter 513: Jiang Silu is Always Playing Matchmaker for Lu Fan and Jiang Yixia
“Okay, no rush. Take your time.”
Jiang Silu put down her phone and spun around once in her chair, feeling delighted.
She opened her design software and began brainstorming a plan.
During the third week of the semester, the counselor, Teacher Chen, sent a message to the grade’s group chat.
Teacher Chen: “Students, the department is planning a one-week study tour in April to see the Huizhou architecture in Anhui. The locations will include Hongcun, Xidi, Chengkan, and other sites. Roughly two to three hundred students will be attending, so we need to partner with a reliable travel agency. The few I’ve contacted so far have given us inflated quotes and poorly planned itineraries. If any of your families are in the tourism business, please ask around for us. Getting a discounted price would be ideal.”
After the message was sent, the group chat fell silent for a moment.
One person replied, “Got it.” Another posted, “Bumping this.” After that, nothing.
Jiang Silu happened to be scrolling through her phone and saw the message. She thought for a moment, then opened her chat with Lu Fan.
Jiang Silu: “Dad, my department is organizing a trip to Anhui to see the Huizhou architecture. Our counselor is looking for a travel agency. Do you know anyone?”
After sending the message, she put her phone on the desk and went back to her drawing.
A few minutes later, her phone vibrated.
Lu Fan: “I do. I’ll have Jiali handle it.”
Jiang Silu: “Okay!”
She sent him Teacher Chen’s phone number and added, “Dad, there will be two to three hundred students, so please make sure the arrangements are good, okay?”
Lu Fan: “Don’t worry.”
The next morning, Teacher Chen received a phone call.
The caller introduced themselves as one of the largest travel agencies in Jinling, specializing in university study tours. They said they had seen her department’s request and could provide a complete proposal.
Teacher Chen was a little surprised. She had only sent one message in the group chat and hadn’t contacted any travel agencies.
She asked how they found out. The person on the other end chuckled and said, “Our President Lu arranged it.”
Teacher Chen was taken aback for a moment. ‘President Lu?’
She didn’t know any President Lu.
She thought for a moment and suddenly remembered Jiang Silu.
“Silu, did you help contact that travel agency?”
Jiang Silu laughed on the other end of the line. “Teacher Chen, my dad said he had his assistant get in touch. Please take a look at the proposal and see if it works for you. If not, it can be adjusted.”
Teacher Chen thanked her profusely. After hanging up, she carefully reviewed the proposal sent by the travel agency.
The itinerary was very well-planned: arrive at Huang Mountain on the first day, Hongcun on the second, Xidi on the third, Chengkan on the fourth, the ancient city of She County on the fifth, and return on the sixth day.
The accommodations were near four-star quality, and the meal budget was a cut above the market rate, yet the price was nearly thirty percent lower than the other agencies she had inquired with.
Teacher Chen confirmed it on the spot.
The departure day was March 12th. Before dawn, five large buses were already parked at the school gate.
Jiang Silu stood in the crowd, pulling a rolling suitcase and wearing a backpack, holding up her phone to record a video.
She first filmed the buses, then her classmates loading their luggage, and finally turned the camera on herself.
The sun was just rising from behind the academic building, shining on her face. Her hair was a little messy from the wind.
“Mom and Dad, I know you’ll both be watching this at the same time,” she said with a smile. “So I’m just recording one video for both of you. I’m heading to Huang Mountain and other places in Anhui to see the Huizhou architecture. I’ll film videos for you guys when I’m there. Love you!”
She made a heart shape with her hands for the camera, then stopped recording and sent the video.
One was sent to Lu Fan, the other to Jiang Yixia.
After sending them, she tucked her phone into her pocket, picked up her suitcase, and boarded the bus.
「In a villa in Yangcheng.」
Lu Fan was sitting at the dining table eating breakfast when his phone vibrated.
He picked it up and saw it was a video from Jiang Silu.
He played it. His daughter’s face appeared on the screen, her smile brilliant as the sun shone on her face.
“Mom and Dad, I know you’ll both be watching this at the same time, so I’m just recording one video for both of you…”
Lu Fan watched her make the heart sign and smiled.
Meanwhile, Jiang Yixia was in her flower shop organizing a new shipment of flowers when her phone rang.
She picked it up and saw it was a video from Jiang Silu.
She played it. Jiang Silu’s face appeared on the screen, her hair a bit messy from the wind, her eyes curving into crescents as she smiled.
“I’m heading to Huang Mountain and other places in Anhui to see the Huizhou architecture. I’ll film videos for you guys when I’m there. Love you!”
Watching her daughter make the heart sign, Jiang Yixia couldn’t help but smile.
She placed her phone on the counter and looked down to continue arranging the flowers, but her hands moved much slower now, the smile never leaving her lips.
Sister Li came over from next door for a visit. Seeing her smiling at her phone, she leaned in and asked, “What are you looking at? You look so happy.”
“It’s nothing, just a video from Silu.” Jiang Yixia put her phone away.
“Let me see,” Sister Li said, reaching for it.
So Jiang Yixia showed her Silu’s video.
Sister Li teased, “Oh, so you two are back together now?”
“No!” Jiang Yixia said, her face flushing. “It’s just that our child isn’t against it anymore. But I still need to see how things go between us. I’m afraid he’s just acting on a whim.”
“If you ask me, President Lu isn’t that kind of person.” Sister Li spent the rest of the afternoon chattering on, putting in a good word for Lu Fan.
The bus drove on the highway for over five hours, arriving in Huangshan City around noon.
On the bus, the tour guide introduced the characteristics of Huizhou architecture: white walls and black tiles, horse-head walls, sky-wells, and carvings in brick, wood, and stone.
Jiang Silu listened attentively, taking copious notes in her phone’s memo app.
In the afternoon, they went to Hongcun.
The village wasn’t large, but it was very quiet. The stone-paved roads were worn smooth and shiny, and the water channels on either side were crystal clear.
