Chasing His Ex: The Tycoon's Hidden Twins

Chapter 516: Jiang Silu is Deceived! Lu Fan’s Rage

Jiang Silu was so angry, her hands were shaking. “The plant layout in your renderings is identical to mine. You didn’t even change the labeled positions. And you’re claiming you designed it yourselves?”

This time, there was no reply.

Jiang Silu sent a few more messages, but still, there was no reply.

She dialed the phone number listed on the online shop. It rang several times before someone answered.

A man’s voice, lazy and impatient, came through the phone. “Yeah, who is this?”

“I’m the one who did your design. You got a refund, but you’re still using my work. That’s infringement!” Jiang Silu’s voice trembled.

There was a two-second silence on the other end, followed by a mocking laugh. “Infringement? You’re just a student, what do you know about infringement? We’re doing you a favor by using your design, helping you build your portfolio, and you can’t even see that?”

“I don’t need that kind of favor!” Jiang Silu retorted angrily. “What you’re doing is scamming people for their work, and it’s illegal!”

The man’s voice rose, turning vicious. “Illegal? Go on then, report us! See who’ll pay any attention to you. A college student, trying to fight our company? Let me tell you, blowing this up will do you no good. We have a legal department. Can you afford a lawyer?”

Tears welled in Jiang Silu’s eyes, but she bit her lip, refusing to let them fall.

“I’ll say it one last time. Take my design down, or I won’t let this rest.” Her voice had become surprisingly calm.

“Fine. Suit yourself,” the man sneered. “Just don’t come crying and begging us to leave you alone later.”

He hung up.

Jiang Silu stood motionless in the middle of the dorm room, clutching her phone.

Song Miaomiao walked in, saw the look on her face, and quickly asked, “Silu, what’s wrong?”

Jiang Silu explained what had happened.

When she finished, Song Miaomiao’s face was red with anger. “What kind of trash company is that? There’s bullying, and then there’s this!”

Lu Yao jumped down from her bed and leaned in to look at the screenshots. After seeing them, she swore. “You have to sue scumbags like that!”

Liu Shiting sat on her bed, looking at Jiang Silu with concern. “Silu, what are you going to do?”

“I’m going to report it to the police,” Jiang Silu said, wiping her eyes. “Their company is in Jiangnan City. I looked it up; it’s not far from Jinling, just over an hour by high-speed rail. I’ve gathered my evidence, and I’m going to the local police station there to file a report.”

Lu Yao was the first to volunteer. “I’ll go with you!”

Song Miaomiao nodded. “I’ll go too.”

Liu Shiting thought for a moment, then suggested, “You should ask your brother to come. It’ll be safer with a guy around.”

Jiang Silu nodded.

“I’ll contact him.” Liu Shiting pulled out her phone and scrolled through her contacts.

Lu Yao glanced at Liu Shiting, opened her mouth as if to say something, but then held her tongue.

Liu Shiting found Jiang Sifan on WhatsApp and sent him a message: “Sifan, Silu’s in trouble. Someone scammed her out of a design and is using her work. She’s going to Jiangnan City to report it to the police. Can you come with us?”

After sending it, she placed her phone on the desk to wait for a reply.

Less than a minute later, her phone buzzed.

Jiang Sifan: “What’s going on? Give me the details.”

Liu Shiting quickly summarized what had happened.

A few seconds of silence passed on his end, then he sent a reply: “Got it. Don’t go anywhere yet. Wait to hear from me.”

Liu Shiting handed the phone to Jiang Silu.

Reading the words, “Wait to hear from me,” Jiang Silu suddenly felt a sense of relief.

…

「A studio at the Jinling Institute of Technology.」

Jiang Sifan lowered his phone and leaned back in his chair, his brow furrowed.

Wen Wan was organizing some account books. Noticing his expression, she asked softly, “What’s wrong?”

“Silu’s in trouble.” Jiang Sifan explained the situation.

Wen Wan frowned as well after hearing the story. “If a group of students goes to the police about something like this, the local station might not take it seriously. Plus, the other party could have local connections.”

“I know.” Jiang Sifan nodded. “That’s why I was thinking… for something like this, we need to find…”

He didn’t finish his sentence, but Wen Wan already understood.

“You should call Uncle Lu,” Wen Wan said softly.

Jiang Sifan looked at her and hesitated.

“He’ll be much more effective at handling this than we would be,” Wen Wan explained. “And besides, he’s your father.”

Jiang Sifan said nothing, simply picking up his phone and scrolling to Lu Fan’s number.

His finger hovered over the screen for two seconds, then he pressed it.

The phone rang twice before the call connected.

“Sifan?” Lu Fan’s voice came through the phone, tinged with surprise but mostly with pleasure. “What is it?”

Jiang Sifan explained everything, clearly laying out each detail—from Silu accepting the job, to the client scamming her for the design and getting a refund, to them stealing her work and verbally abusing her over the phone.

When he was done, Lu Fan was silent for two seconds, then he chuckled.

It wasn’t a loud laugh, but it held a reassuring, steady calm.

“Sifan, don’t you worry about this. I’ll take care of it,” Lu Fan said, his tone light. “And tell Silu not to do anything rash. Make sure she doesn’t run off to Jiangnan City on her own.”

“Okay,” Jiang Sifan said with a nod.

“Send the company’s name, phone number, chat history, and all the screenshots to Jiali,” Lu Fan continued. “I’ll have her oversee the entire process. If a police report is needed, she’ll file one. If a lawsuit is needed, she’ll file one.”

Jiang Sifan agreed.

After hanging up, Lu Fan, sitting in his study, scrolled to Jiali’s number and made the call.

“Jiali, I have a matter for you to handle.” Lu Fan’s tone was calm, but laced with a distinct chill. “Silu was scammed out of a design by a company called Green Garden. On top of that, they cursed her out.”

He gave her a brief rundown of the situation.

Jiali listened, then immediately replied, “I’ll get right on it.”

“First, investigate the company’s background—who its legal representative is, where it’s registered, and whether it has a history of similar disputes,” Lu Fan instructed. “Then, arrange for a lawyer to send them a letter, and file a police report at the same time.”
