The battle at the Oath City continued to rage on, making the situation much more intense than it already was.

The corpses of the demonic creatures that had yet to dissipate and had yet to be purified had already piled up together and created small mountains outside the city walls.

The players were already feeling quite exhausted, especially with such a non-stop battle. They might have already experienced some sort of siege battles from different places, especially given the nature of the game. These kinds of events were quite normal already.

Unfortunately, this battle had reached an even more overwhelming level, especially since they had been fighting without rest.

On top of this, they only had an extremely limited number of manpower in this place, which was constantly dwindling down in every passing second.

Along with the mental fatigue that they were already suffering, the situation was gradually getting worse, especially when they were unable to replenish their numbers unlike the opposing side.

Fortunately, it was also clear that the opposing side was not faring well due to the firm determination of everyone to hold on.

Aside from having no other choice but to fight, the rest of the reason was because of the powerful reinforcements that were fighting alongside everyone.

The City Guards along with the NPC General were almost holding the city by themselves, repelling every attempt of the demonic creatures to break through their defences.

Unfortunately, even if they were somewhat powerful to handle the situation, they were unable to stop the somewhat endless horde by themselves.

Their stamina and power still had serious limitations, which they would be unable to escape from.

Even if they had the assistance of the players, particularly those with support classes, they were bound to face extreme cases that they would be unable to avoid.

Some of the NPC Guards died during the battle, weakening their overall combat force. Given that they were NPCs as well, the players were unable to revive them.

With such irreversible loss, the fighting power of their forces had started to drop drastically. This, in turn, had created a few slip-ups and openings in their formation.

How could the demonic creatures, who were somewhat losing despite their relentless assault, let such an opportunity slip through their hands?

One of the larger demonic creatures was finally able to breach the city walls, making that section crumble and letting a large number of demonic creatures flood inside.

Unexpectedly, or rather expectedly, the breach came from the southern side of the city, which was supposed to be defended by the joint forces of the supposedly famous adventurer teams and well-known mercenary groups, who had accepted the mission from the Righteous Churches and joined this battle.

Henrick and the others, who had seen this from a distance, immediately felt excited. They had been patient up until now, so they would never let such a big opening just disappear like that.

"Well, that is to be expected. After all, those guys have never been from the same group. They all had their pride, so how can they just acknowledge other people, who they believe are not as strong as them?" chuckled Henrick after seeing such a huge breach on the city walls.

"This is the opportunity that we are looking for! The first unit! Make your move!" he commanded, telling the remaining demonic players on their side to immediately launch an attack.

He was planning to let them assist the demonic creatures and further spread the chaos throughout the battlefield.

The battle on the breached wall was already in the most chaotic state when the demonic players had finally sneaked into this side of the battlefield, planning to release more of the Plague Demons that they had been saving up until now.

Dragulia had paid quite a lot just to get their hands on these demons from the Demonic Church of Terror, which would act as one of their trump cards aside from the Demonic Bishops that they had brought with them.

Once this type of demon had been released on the battlefield, they would spread a demon plague that would produce more demonic creatures from the victims that they had taken down. This would then replenish their already dwindling numbers.

When this happened, the morale of everyone from the opposing side would surely take a decisive blow, which would then further lower their will to battle.

After all, everyone had been doing their best to weaken the forces of the horde of demonic creatures while also trying to defend the city and wait for their reinforcements.

These demonic players were feeling quite excited about this when they all heard a voice saying to them.

"You guys sure have taken your sweet time. I have been waiting for all of you to show yourselves, but it seems like only a few 'porters' and a couple of 'elites' have been sent to assist these demons."

Everyone seemed to have felt an intense shiver running down their spines after hearing this cold voice.

Moreover, they were also aware that all of them had heard the same voice, which meant that the other party had already locked on their positions.

They were about to fall back and retreat when the opposing party made their move.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Shing!

They had not seen what happened, but everyone immediately realized that all of them had died almost at the same time.

Thud! Thud!

The sound of their heads softly hitting the ground rang on this side of the battlefield, making the chaotic battle almost stop.

The other players, who were around, only saw a series of flashes that came out of nowhere, which then cut through multiple figures and killed them one after another.

"Fast!"

This was the only word that entered their minds after witnessing such a brutal scene before them.

Moreover, most of the demonic creatures that were trying to enter the city through the massive breach on the wall were also taken down after being caught by those shadowy flashes.

"That's Diablo! Dancer of the Shadows, Diablo of the Empyrean Talons!"

Finally, someone had seen the person who was slaughtering a bunch of demonic creatures, right after taking care of those demonic players. It was as if he was treating them as some sort of regular people.

Hearing this, the others from the surroundings had also started to recognize this figure, who had made their name resound throughout the game after his amazing feats during the United Cup.

Swoosh!

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Diablo swiftly disappeared right after briefly showing himself. He needed to loot some of the items that had been dropped by the demonic players that he had just killed while also taking down a couple of demonic creatures along the way.

Given his knowledge about demonic churches, he was naturally aware of the dangerous items that these guys had brought with them.

Roar! Roar! Roar!

This series of roars had woken up everyone from their little stupor after seeing that little display of strength from Diablo.

"D*mn! There are too many of them!"

"Our formation is still not fully established because of the sudden collapse of the wall earlier!"

"We will not be able to hold them by ourselves!"

Some of these people started to panic a little due to the current predicament, especially when there was such a large number of demonic creatures flooding into the breach before them.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

That was when a series of gunshots could be heard coming from the western wall, ringing throughout the battlefield.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

However, before the sound even spread that far, the series of crimson flashes were already raining down from the sky and bombarded the incoming horde of demonic creatures that were attempting to flood into the breach.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

They were barely able to step into the rubble when their bodies were already being drilled by multiple streaks of light, leaving a series of holes in different parts of their bodies.

Barely a few of them had an intact body when the rain of crimson bullets had filled them with multiple holes. Some of them even had their heads blown up, killing them within an instant.

"Ah! These crimson bullets, it must be the Alucard! The Sanguine King of the Empyrean Talons!"

"Tsk! Tsk! Those two sure live up to their reputation."

"The Demonic Duo of the Empyrean Talons."

It was only at this moment that everyone had managed to re-organize their battle formation and clog the breach with a bunch of knights and warriors with lots of priests healing them from behind.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

At the same time, the ones who remained on the top of the intact portion of the southern wall kept on bombarding those demonic creatures below with their attacks.

Now that there was a breach in the wall, the demonic creatures focused their forces more on that spot. This had indirectly made the pressure that the players on top of the wall were getting grow noticeably weaker.

Such a situation had made it easier for them to defend the southern wall.

While all these were happening, Diablo, who had finally stepped out of the city and was hiding in stealth while hunting more demonic players, had received the news that he had been waiting for.

Mister Jiang: We have found it! It is really at the Illuminating Forest!

Seeing this message, Diablo could not help but grin quite widely. "Finally! We have found you!"

He then left right after, heading straight to the pinned coordinates that Mister Jiang had sent while also informing Alucard about this sudden news.

Both knew that the real trouble of this battle was not about the city itself, but the main altar, which would be the core of the Grand Demonic Ritual.
