Chapter 151: BAD NEWS

Apparently, Oliver had sneaked one of Jeremy’s dagger collections, and he kept it with him, just in case. Jude had taken all the precautions when Leia insisted on inviting them to dinner, even though, based on their memories, nothing was wrong with that.

However, Leviathan seemed to have noticed something, especially when he saw Zade joining the dinner.

The first thought that came to Leviathan’s mind was that this Lycan king was sharp. They were trapped and couldn’t back down after agreeing to the dinner with Leia.

"No, Jeremy!" Leia screamed at the top of her lungs; she shifted into her wolf form and attacked Oliver. She was seeing red.

Even though she didn’t know what was actually going on, her first instinct was to protect her son, and right now Oliver was the enemy in her eyes for hurting Jeremy.

Caspian had also immediately shifted into his beast form as he followed his mate.

But before they could reach Oliver or Jude, both of them vanished from their sight. They disappeared into thin air, as if they had never been there.

And now, it was confirmed.

However, it didn’t give any satisfaction; if anything, it was bad news for them.

Previously, the devils could only influence someone to make them their puppet to achieve their goals. But now, they could also use other people’s bodies.

Zade had his doubts at first; it was not something that had happened before, but now he knew for sure what the devils could do.

"Why are there a lot of warriors out there?" Chloe asked. She was sitting on the windowsill in the living room with a glass of juice and a sheet mask on her face. "Why are there a lot of them?" She frowned.

The warriors couldn’t be seen in the dark, but as a shifter, she could feel it when they were around. Most of the warriors were in their wolf forms, hiding behind the bushes or trees, out of sight.

If Seara were the one who looked outside, she wouldn’t be able to spot them, since her senses were dull due to losing her wolf spirit.

"Zeph? Something happened?" Chloe turned around and looked at Zephyr. He was standing in the middle of the room; his posture was rigid, and his eyes glistened, indicating he was in the middle of a conversation through mindlink.

Meanwhile, Seara was sleeping on the sofa. She fell asleep with a sheet mask on her face because Chloe insisted that she do it together with her.

Chloe approached Seara and removed the sheet mask from her face because the recommended time had passed. She also removed her own mask.

"What happened?" Chloe approached Zephyr and removed his sheet mask as well. "Something happened?" She became impatient when she saw the look on the royal gamma’s face.

"Jeremy was rushed to the hospital," Zephyr replied.

"What? What happened to him? Did he eat something wrong?" It was the first thing that came to Chloe’s mind because she knew that young man would gobble up almost everything.

"No, that’s not it." Zephyr scratched his head. "Let Leia explain this to you." He didn’t get a clear instruction on whether he could disclose this information to Chloe or not or how much she could know. "Don’t tell this to Seara."

Zephyr looked at Seara’s sleeping face. It didn’t make sense when he heard Zade’s brief explanation of what happened, but once again, the Lycan king was right with his suspicion.

This was not good...

"Fuck!" Jude gritted his teeth, not because he was in pain. He couldn’t feel any pain, but the wound on his neck was decaying, and the smell was bothersome.

"What should we do?" Oliver asked; he was still shocked that they were suddenly in his bedroom.

In a second, they were in the dining room, and the next, they were already miles away from there. Oliver was stunned, but he assumed this was the power that the devils held.

And soon enough, Lilith appeared.

"Damn, can’t you give me a warning?" Oliver clicked his tongue. He still couldn’t get used to this.

However, Lilith ignored him and immediately went to check on Jude. "You can’t stay in this body." She checked the wound; her golden eyes were slightly dimmed. "Ugh, you stink. This is why you shouldn’t have used a human body."

"Find another one," Jude said coldly.

Lilith then looked at Oliver. "Check if there is someone that you can use in this house."

Leia refused to move an inch from her position; she was sitting on a bench outside the operating room, while Rio and his team were trying to save Jeremy’s life.

Zade informed him right away about Jeremy’s condition. It saved time because once Jeremy arrived at the hospital, Rio could perform the operation immediately since he had had enough time to prepare.

They could only go to Rio, since he was a senior doctor who was a shifter. They couldn’t be reckless about this because humans would immediately notice the difference.

"He will be alright," Caspian reassured Leia, who didn’t stop crying.

But then, Leia glared at him angrily. "Why didn’t you tell me?! Why did you put my child in danger if you had known that they were dangerous?!" She couldn’t think straight, and her worry shaped into anger.

She needed to vent it out before it exploded in her head.

"We didn’t know for sure; we needed to confirm it," Caspian said in a pleading tone. It hurt him too to see his mate in pain.

However, Leia didn’t want to hear such an excuse; all she knew was her son was dying, and she needed someone to be blamed.

Therefore, when she saw Zade, she rushed toward him and attacked him. Her nails grazed Zade’s cheek and drew some blood, but the wound immediately healed.

"Why didn’t you warn Jeremy and me?! You are a king, but it doesn’t mean you can use someone else as you please!" She screamed at him.
