Lars raised the arrow and imbued it with the Healing Arrow skill before piercing it into Denis’s arm. The arrow dissolved into light before disappearing completely, spreading its healing energy across the wound.

“Arghhh!” Denis screamed as he tried to sit up.

“Max! Hold him properly!” Lars told Max.

Max immediately held Denis firmly. Lars then continued repeating the process several times. And each time the healing arrow struck Denis, he cried out in pain.

Outside the van, Oscar nervously bit his nails as he paced back and forth.

“Can that guy really heal him? I thought he was a fighter Class.”

He still remembered seeing Lars fighting alongside Vega inside the Throne Room of the Rogue Dungeon. Based on that, Oscar had assumed Lars was a frontline fighter.

Besides, hunters with healing skills were rare, as many of them preferred combat Classes over support Classes. Even in Mazeltov, they didn’t have anyone who specialized in healing. They only had some supportive abilities from Emma and Quinn.

After a few minutes, the shouting finally stopped. Oscar became worried that something worse had happened and immediately entered the van.

Denis was lying unconscious on the floor, while Lars and Max were both wiping the sweat from their foreheads.

“Is he…?” Oscar asked nervously.

“Don’t worry. The poison is already gone. He’s currently sleeping due to exhaustion, but he still needs to be seen by a doctor at the hospital,” Lars said.

Right now, the poison had already been neutralized, but the wound was still there, and he had already used up all his healing arrows. As he was treating Denis, an idea suddenly appeared in his mind.

‘If I create an arrow from Mana Ore, will it enhance the healing effect of Divine Ranger? I need to try it later.’ He couldn’t help but become curious.

“What happened to him, Oscar? You still haven’t told me who attacked him,” Max asked.

“I don’t know… but that attacker seemed to know Ryuken. That’s why he attacked Ryuken first before we arrived and helped him,” Oscar explained.

Lars and Max looked at each other.

“Max, did Black Maria members attack you today?” Lars asked.

“Yes. They did. You too?” Max asked.

Both of them immediately understood what was happening. Black Maria was already making its move. And since Ryuken had been involved, they were now targeting Mazeltov members as well.

Lars clenched his fist as he realized that others were getting injured because of him.

Suddenly, Oscar’s phone began ringing, and he immediately picked it up.

“Hello, Sarah.”

He walked a short distance away as he spoke with Sarah. After a few minutes, his expression suddenly changed. He immediately ran back toward Lars and the others.

“We need to return to our office.” His face had turned pale.

“What happened?” Lars asked.

“Our office… someone is attacking our office.”

—

Firefighters were working hard to extinguish the flames engulfing the second floor of the building. Many people stood a short distance away, watching in shock as the fire spread across the nearby area.

From within the crowd, Ryuken couldn’t believe what he was seeing. His jaw hung open as he struggled to process what had happened.

Benn Strong, on the other hand, was being restrained by Sarah and several bystanders as he desperately tried to get closer to the burning building.

“What happened here?! Who dared to attack our office?!” he shouted.

Vega, standing beside Ryuken, looked at him.

“Do you have any idea who did this?” he asked. His eyes behind the mask were sharpened with fury as he struggled to contain the boiling anger inside him.

“I… I…” Ryuken was speechless. Right now, he was overwhelmed by mixed feelings of anger and guilt.

“You guys!” Suddenly, they turned around and saw Oscar arriving. With him were Lars and Max.

“Oh my god… what happened to our office? Where is Boss? Is she safe? What about Quinn, Aleph, and Emma?” Oscar asked, barely able to breathe as panic filled his voice.

“They’re fine…although Quinn suffered a heavy injury. Zane already went to the hospital with Quinn and Emma,” Aleph suddenly said as he appeared from inside the building.

His clothes were covered in dust and ash, a clear sign that he had barely escaped the explosion himself.

“Oscar! I thought you were bringing Denis to the hospital. Why the hell are you here?” Benn Strong asked as he walked toward Oscar.

“Denis is alright for now. It’s all thanks to Lars and Max. They managed to stabilize him,” Oscar said as he pointed toward Lars and Max.

Aleph’s eyes widened as he listened to Oscar. His eyes then locked onto Lars.

‘Does he have a healing Class too? This guy… he’s too unpredictable.’ he muttered.

“Zane told me to wait here in case you guys came back. Now that all of you are here, let’s go to the hospital. Zane will want to meet us there.”

He then pointed at Lars and Max.

“You two as well.”

Ryuken remained standing there as everyone else began moving. Lars then placed a hand on his shoulder. Ryuken turned toward him.

“This… this is all my fault…” he said.

“No. This isn’t your fault. This is… their fault. Black Maria,” Lars said, clenching his teeth.

For a moment, neither of them said anything. The burning building behind them served as a painful reminder of what had happened.

All of them then got into the van and headed toward the nearest hospital.

After they arrived, Denis was immediately attended to by the medical staff. By that time, Denis was already awake.

“Please… pay them back for what they did to us!” Denis said through his tears before being carried away on a stretcher.

“We will, Denis! I will make sure of that!” Oscar said.

They then made their way to the BICU, which stood for Burn Intensive Care Unit. There, they saw Zane standing beside Emma, looking through the glass window.

Inside the BICU, Quinn was lying on the bed with his entire body covered in bandages. He was receiving fluids through an IV and wearing an oxygen mask as the medical staff continued monitoring his condition.

“Miss Zane!” Sarah ran toward her and hugged her. “Luckily, you’re alright!” she said, tears filling her eyes.

All of them looked at Quinn’s condition. For a moment, everyone was at a loss for words. But the most affected were Lars, Max, and Ryuken. All of them felt guilty about what had happened. And Benn Strong was the most emotional of them all.

“Boss! Tell me, do you know who did this to us? I want to kill the people who dared to injure our members. They will regret it!” he said angrily.

Zane then stood facing all of them before noticing that Lars and Max were also there. Her eyes then moved toward Ryuken.

“I believe… you know who attacked us, Ryuken.”

All the Mazeltov members immediately turned toward him.Ryuken’s expression became stiff. The guilt he had been carrying since the beginning suddenly felt even heavier under everyone’s gaze.

“Who did this, Ryuken? Tell us,” Oscar asked.

Ryuken clenched his fist before finally opening his mouth.

“It was Black Maria,” he said.

All the Mazeltov members were shocked to hear that.

“But why?” Emma asked.

Her eyes were swollen as she wiped her tears with a handkerchief. She was one of the people closest to Quinn, and she couldn’t bear seeing him like this.

Ryuken was about to speak, but Lars suddenly intervened. He didn’t want the Mazeltov members to despise Ryuken, so he decided to take responsibility for explaining what had happened.

“Let me be the one to explain what happened.”

He then explained everything. From the moment he was attacked and Celine was kidnapped, to the raid on the Black Maria Club in District 50.

As Lars spoke, Zane closed her eyes and listened to the entire story. Vega and the others also explained how they had been attacked by Black Maria members. After several minutes, Lars finally finished.

“…And that is what happened. I believe all these attacks are retaliation from Black Maria for us attacking their territory. And because of that, the Mazeltov Company got involved,” Lars said.

“I’m sorry, Boss, for not following your order. I’m truly sorry,” Ryuken said as he bowed toward Zane.

“This isn’t me you should apologize to. They are the ones you should apologize to.” Zane pointed toward a woman and a young girl sitting a short distance away.

“They’re Quinn’s wife and daughter,” Zane said.

His eyes slowly turned toward the two of them. The little girl was holding tightly onto her mother’s hand while looking through the glass window at Quinn lying inside the BICU.

Lars also looked at the family. He then clenched his fist.

“Zane and everyone… this is all my fault. I am the one who should take responsibility for dragging all of you in this mess. I will pay compensation for what happened. But there is something I need to do first.” Lars then began walking away with Max before Zane called out to him.

“What are you going to do, Lars?” she asked.

“Isn’t it obvious? I want to go and beat all of them. They have gone too far by attacking innocent people. They will pay for this!” Lars said, his voice filled with anger.

“Then let me join too! I want to kick their asses as well. I already promised Denis!” Oscar said.

“Me too!” Benn Strong said as he clenched his fist.

“I agree with them. This time…we can’t let them get away with this,” Vega said as he leaned against the wall.

The atmosphere around them suddenly changed. None of them were talking about revenge anymore. They were talking about payback.

“Miss Zane…?” Sarah looked at Zane. She wanted to join them as well, but their boss was the one who had the final say.

Zane closed her eyes. Then suddenly, she felt a tug on her dress. She looked down and saw Quinn’s daughter looking up at her. Zane crouched down and looked at her.

“Please… beat the bad people who hurt my papa!” the girl said before her mother gently pulled her closer.

Zane looked at the girl before smiling and gently patting her head. She then stood up and turned toward the group.

“If they thought we wouldn’t do anything after what they did, then they are mistaken. You hurt one of us, you deal with all of us.” Her eyes became sharp.

“We will bring hell to them!”

“Yeah!” Oscar and the others cheered.

Knock! Knock!

They then noticed a medical staff member knock on the glass window and point toward Quinn. Quinn was now awake.

He raised his thumb with a weak smile behind his face mask, silently telling them that he was alright and that they didn’t need to worry about him.

All the group members waved at him before walking away. Each of them had a serious expression on their faces.

Even Ryuken, who now unwound the bandages around his fists, looked different. His eyes were filled with a thirst for battle.

Black Maria had no idea what was coming for them!
