Chapter 900: Truly A Mad Woman
Chapter 900: Truly A Mad Woman
As the carnage from the last attack ceased, the battlefield had been transformed into a wasteland where nothing remained. AlyxAtlas immediately intervened as she recreated the cityscape once more.
At this moment, Arianna stood upon a high-rise building, her chest rising and falling as she panted slowly. They had been going at this for a full five hours now. Her Astra energy reserves weren’t bottomless. She had already spent sixty percent of them on various high level attacks. But she wasn’t bothered. The remaining forty percent was enough. Besides, her remaining Astra reserves were so enormous that no Wavestar Life Ranker on the planet possessed such an amount, even while at their absolute peak.
Her stamina had also taken a noticeable hit as she panted lightly, trying to regulate her breathing.
But Asher was the complete opposite.
His Star Energy couldn’t be quantified as he possessed no upper limit in terms of sheer volume. As for stamina, yes, he had expended a considerable amount of it, but Asher simply rejuvenated himself through Lightning-induced muscle and nerve stimulation.
So, in a way, Asher remained in his peak state indefinitely and could drag this battle on for days... at least until mental exhaustion finally claimed him.
Asher had to admit, Arianna was good. She was simply too good, as they both seemed to be equal in pure combat strength, with neither gaining a decisive advantage over the other. But Asher remained cautious. Who knew what other outrageous abilities Arianna was hiding? Who even knew if she possessed a method of storing Astra energy like Virelass and could unleash it at any moment?
Arianna’s body was now back at its peak condition as she simply used her Genesis ability to heal every injury Asher’s Thousand-Handed Buddha Statue had inflicted upon her.
Arianna’s right eye shone once more as she activated her Genesis ability to tap into another skill.
’Here it comes,’ Asher thought to himself as he noticed the glow within her eye, signaling the activation of another skill.
Arianna immediately vanished from where she stood, her figure appearing high in the sky, a crazed smile spreading across her face as she stretched out both arms. Her Astra energy rumbled once more as her lips slowly parted.
Planetary Repulsive Explosion.
This was a skill she had copied after analyzing it countless times from a Voidstar Life Ranker. Unfortunately, although she understood the skill and how it functioned, she couldn’t reproduce the same catastrophic level of destruction as the woman from whom she had copied it. Nevertheless, it was more than sufficient for the present battle.
Asher’s every instinct screamed.
He could feel it deep within his gut. This wasn’t some run-of-the-mill explosion. He could sense something far more terrifying hidden within it, as though even the particles making up existence themselves were exploding.
Asher didn’t hesitate. He immediately activated the greatest defensive ability at his disposal. His body instantly shifted into a phasing state as he tapped into his Space Affinity. His Star Energy rumbled violently as he pushed his Space Affinity to its absolute limits, creating countless layers of spatial walls around himself that froze and distorted any explosion that reached them.
But the attack tore straight through his spatial defenses. They simply couldn’t withstand such immense power as space itself collapsed entirely. Even Asher, despite existing in a phasing state, was affected as the explosion struck his body. He was launched backward through countless buildings as everything disappeared beneath blinding white light.
Asher’s body was slammed into a wall inside a building over two hundred kilometers away. The entire right side of his upper body had been blown away. Even his face was unrecognizable, as half of it had been burned off, exposing only portions of his skull and the remaining strips of flesh. Asher coughed up blood as he realized that if it hadn’t been for his last-second defense, the Crownstar Life Rank instructor would have already intervened.
Virelass immediately began consuming the remaining Myth-Class blood she still possessed. It was the very same blood Azaron had rewarded Asher with following his True Awakening. Only blood of this caliber could regenerate injuries of this magnitude quickly enough.
Asher’s muscles began moving as bones, tendons, organs, and flesh violently reconstructed themselves. His body healed at a frightening speed beneath the sheer vitality contained within the Myth-Class blood.
But Arianna wasn’t about to let such an advantage slip away. She had poured a whopping ten percent of her remaining Astra reserves into that previous attack, reducing herself to only thirty percent.
She appeared directly before Asher, wrapping her legs around his waist just as she had done before as she leaned backward. But unlike earlier, where she had charged a concentrated beam of pure light, this time Arianna Haellight seemed to have gone completely mad as she summoned something entirely different, her right eye glowing brilliantly.
She first locked the surrounding space around Asher, only then did she proceed with the killing blow.
Miniaturized Black Hole.
A black hole no larger than a grain of sand materialized between the two of them. This was a skill she had copied from her father after years of relentless analysis, and even then, this tiny singularity was the largest Black Hole she was currently capable of creating.
Asher’s mind and body erupted with prickly sensations of death as he was dragged toward the singularity. His right arm, his only remaining arm, was instantly swallowed as the building they occupied also began twisting and collapsing into the Black Hole.
Yet Arianna remained completely unaffected as her Genesis Archive ability granted her complete immunity to the effects of her own skill, preventing her from being harmed by anything she created.
But before she could even blink, another Asher appeared directly behind her. His leg, empowered by Lightning, Light, and Star Energy, thundered into Arianna’s back with merciless force. Arianna’s body shot violently forward, her concentration instantly breaking as the Black Hole disappeared.
The Asher whom Arianna had been restraining and attempting to kill with the Black Hole had been nothing more than a Photon Clone. Asher had switched places with it the very moment he had been blasted backward through countless buildings.
Throughout the battle, Asher had deliberately refrained from using either his Illusions or his Photon Clones because he suspected Arianna wouldn’t be deceived by them, especially his illusions, as her eyes seemed extraordinary enough to perceive through such tricks.
So instead, he had reserved his clone for the perfect opportunity, waiting until he was certain Arianna would never think to verify whether the person before her was real amid the increasing pace of battle. By now, Asher had already concluded that this insane woman had begun revealing the truly outrageous skills she had previously avoided because of how brutally they consumed her Astra energy.
Arianna’s body crashed through the buildings before her, smashing through walls, tables, chairs, support pillars, and numerous machines as excruciating pain exploded throughout her mind. Because of the sheer force behind Asher’s kick and the fact that she had completely abandoned her defenses while concentrating on maintaining the Black Hole, the attack had blown apart her left scapula, torn open her ribs, shattered her spine, and exposed her still-beating heart.
Arianna didn’t hesitate, she immediately activated her healing technique once more, rapidly restoring her body.
The only reason Asher wasn’t already upon her was because he, too, was still healing himself. The injuries he had sustained from the Planetary Repulsive Explosion were simply too severe to regenerate completely within a single second.
