Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off
Chapter 826: The Furious Teng Snake
Chapter 826: Chapter 826: The Furious Teng Snake
Back in Dragon Beast City, the cool evening air shattered as Xuan Long and An Mo finally returned to the estate.
The moment Xuan Long crossed the main gate, his sharp snake instincts screamed that something was horribly wrong.
The entire courtyard was thick with panic, and Su Qinglan was standing in the center, her face drained of all color, her hands trembling violently.
"What happened?" Xuan Long asked, his voice low and heavy, instantly sensing the distress in the air.
Shi Feng stepped forward, his eyes filled with immense guilt. "Yue Yue... she’s gone. She was taking a nap in the backyard, and she vanished."
The world seemed to stop.
Xuan Long’s emerald yes shrank to tiny vertical slits. "What do you mean, vanished?"
"We searched every inch of the house, the yard, and the surrounding streets," Rong Ye said, his voice tense and grim.
"Her scent is in the backyard... but it completely vanishes in midair. There is no trailing scent leading out of the gate, and no scent of any stranger coming in."
A terrifying silence fell over the yard.
Then, Xuan Long snapped.
A horrifying, suffocating wave of pressure exploded from his body! The sheer weight of his aura was so intense that the ground beneath his feet cracked, and the surrounding trees shuddered, shedding their leaves in an instant.
"YUE YUE!" Xuan Long roared toward the sky, his voice shaking the very foundation of the estate.
He didn’t waste a single second. Transforming into his massive, intimidating snake form, Xuan Long took off into the ground, creating a massive gust of wind that knocked over the courtyard chairs.
An Mo immediately leapt onto the tallest tree, his powerful senses expanding across the entire city to track every single breath of air.
For two agonizing hours, Xuan Long tore through the skies above Dragon Beast City. He searched every forest, every cave, every mountain peak, and every path leading out of the territory.
He used his overwhelming beastman pressure to interrogate every beastman outside the gates, his eyes glowing with a terrifying, deadly fury.
An Mo used his divine perception, trying to sense the tiny soul spark of his daughter. But it was as if an invisible wall had completely cut her existence off from the world.
Nothing. Not a single trace. Not a single scale. Not even a whisper of her presence.
When Xuan Long finally slammed back down into the courtyard, returning to his human form, he looked like a complete madman.
His pupils were wild, his chest was heaving violently, and emerald snake scales were dangerously spreading across his neck and arms. His eyes were blood-red, completely stripped of their usual calm and gentle look.
Without warning, Xuan Long lunged forward and grabbed Rong Ye straight by the throat! His fingers dug in hard, lifting Rong Ye off his feet.
"WERE YOU NOT AT HOME?!" Xuan Long screamed, his voice laced with pure, suffocating rage.
"DID I NOT LEAVE MY DAUGHTER IN YOUR CARE?! HOW COULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN?! WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?!"
Rong Ye choked, his face turning pale and blue as he struggled to breathe under Xuan Long’s crushing grip. He didn’t even try to fight back, filled with his own immense guilt.
Su Qinglan was horrified. Seeing Rong Ye being suffocated, she immediately stepped forward to stop Xuan Long. If it was Rong Ye’s fault, then it was her fault too! She couldn’t let him hurt Rong Ye!
"Xuan Long, stop! Let him go!" Su Qinglan cried out, rushing forward.
Suddenly, a strong hand caught her wrist. Han Jue held her back, his voice stern and urgent. "Don’t go near him, Lanlan!"
An Mo also blocked her path, his eyes dead serious. "Lanlan, don’t go! He isn’t recognizing anyone right now!"
Before Su Qinglan could argue, An Mo moved like lightning. He stepped up to Xuan Long and forcefully pried his heavy fingers off Rong Ye’s throat!
With a sudden, powerful strike, An Mo shoved Xuan Long backward, forcing the enraged snake to stumble several steps away.
Rong Ye fell to his knees, coughing violently as he gasped for air.
An Mo stood between Xuan Long and the rest of the family, shouting at everyone, "Stay back! Don’t get any closer to him! He has completely lost his mind!"
Xuan Long stood there, his chest heaving, his eyes burning bright red. He looked at them not as his family, but like an enraged, bloodthirsty beast ready to destroy everything in sight.
Su Qinglan stood frozen, her eyes wide as she stared at Xuan Long. Her heart shattered into a million pieces.
The man standing before her...the gentle, patient husband who always held her so tenderly was completely gone. His eyes were blood-red, empty, and wild.
There was no warmth left in his face, no love, and not even a single spark of recognition for his own family. He looked right through her, breathing like a feral beast trapped in a nightmare.
"Xuan Long..." she whispered, her voice cracking with pure heartache.
Before anyone could say another word, a deafening snake roar ripped from his chest. Emerald snake scales engulfed his skin, and in a blinding flash of blinding light, he transformed directly into his massive, emerald serpent form.
Without looking back at Su Qinglan or the terrified cubs, the giant green snake thrashed his heavy tail, smashed through the wooden courtyard fence, and launched himself out from the dragon beast city.
He moved like a streak of green lightning, tearing through the trees and disappearing past the borders of Dragon Beast City at terrifying speed.
He was gone.
The courtyard fell into a suffocating, deadly silence. Only the sound of the wind blowing through the shattered fence remained.
Su Qinglan’s strength completely failed her. Her legs buckled, and she fell heavily onto her knees in the cold dirt.
"Lanlan!" Han Jue and Hu Yan rushed to her side instantly, crouching down to support her trembling shoulders.
Su Qinglan didn’t even feel the impact of the ground. Tears gushed uncontrollably from her eyes, soaking her cheeks as her entire body shook with violent sobs.
She clutched her chest, feeling an agonizing, crushing pain that threatened to suffocate her.
First, her tiny, helpless daughter Yueyue had vanished without a trace, taken by some unknown horror.
And now, her husband had lost his sanity completely, turning into a mindless, wandering beast and abandoning their home.
She was terrified for her daughter’s life, and at the exact same time, she was utterly heartbroken watching the man she loved lose himself to darkness.
"Yueyue... Xuan Long..." she sobbed into her hands, her desperate voice echoing mournfully across the ruined yard.
Han Jue pulled her tightly into his arms, his icy blue eyes darkening with profound pain, while An Mo looked toward the empty path where Xuan Long had disappeared, his expression heavy and grim.
