Chapter 906: A Secret Visit to the Primordial Tide Clan
Chapter 906: Chapter 906: A Secret Visit to the Primordial Tide Clan
Teng Yunxiao and An Mo had secretly left for the Upper Domain.
Apart from Xuan Long, no one knew about their departure, not even the people in the Upper Domain.
After all, neither of them could openly appear there. An Mo’s identity alone was enough to attract attention, and Teng Yunxiao’s sudden reappearance would cause even greater trouble. Therefore, having An Mo accompany him was the best choice. With his abilities, he could easily conceal Teng Yunxiao’s presence from outsiders.
As the two traveled, Teng Yunxiao suddenly spoke.
"I want to visit one of my disciples."
An Mo turned toward him in surprise.
"Your disciple?"
"Yes. So many years have passed that I don’t even know where most of them are now. However, I remember that one of them should be in the Upper Domain. If nothing unexpected has happened, he should still be there."
Teng Yunxiao’s expression turned thoughtful.
He had been unconscious for far too long. Many of his memories had become muddled, and there were countless things he no longer remembered clearly. Even the people he once knew might have changed beyond recognition.
He didn’t even know whether all his former acquaintances were still alive.
Still, he wanted to find out.
An Mo frowned slightly.
"Uncle Teng, I don’t know where the Primordial Tide Clan is located. That clan is extremely secretive. Even those who have lived in the Upper Domain for many years might not know where their territory is. They rarely allow outsiders to visit, and they never leave traces that could reveal their location."
He had heard of the Primordial Tide Clan before, but he had never visited it himself. Finding such a clan would be difficult, even for someone with his abilities.
Teng Yunxiao, however, merely shook his head.
"I know the way. Don’t worry. Just follow me."
An Mo raised his eyebrows but didn’t question him further. Since Teng Yunxiao had already decided to go, he could only accompany him.
The two continued their journey, with Teng Yunxiao trying to piece together his scattered memories along the way.
After so many years, he could only hope that things hadn’t changed too much. If his memories were correct, he should still be able to find that young man, Cang Ling.
As long as Cang Ling was still there, things would be much easier.
After traveling for some time, the two finally arrived before a cave hidden among the mountains.
An Mo stopped and looked around suspiciously.
There was nothing particularly unusual about the place. The mountain was quiet, and the cave entrance looked ordinary. There weren’t even any guards standing nearby.
He turned toward Teng Yunxiao.
"Uncle Teng, is this really the entrance?"
Teng Yunxiao nodded.
"Yes. Come on, let’s go inside."
He took a step forward before suddenly turning around to remind An Mo, "Remember, don’t resist whatever happens. Keep your aura completely concealed and behave like an ordinary person. Don’t release even the slightest trace of your power."
An Mo raised his eyebrows. He didn’t understand why Teng Yunxiao was being so careful, but he didn’t argue.
"All right."
He followed Teng Yunxiao into the cave.
At first, the surroundings remained unchanged. The walls were rough, and the passage stretched into the darkness. However, after they walked a little farther, the space around them suddenly twisted.
An Mo felt a strange force enveloping his body. Before he could react, the scenery before his eyes changed completely.
The dark cave disappeared.
An endless sea stretched before him!
An Mo stopped in astonishment.
The two were standing on a small piece of land surrounded by vast blue waters. As far as his eyes could see, there was nothing but the endless sea, its surface shimmering beneath the light.
He turned around, only to discover that the cave entrance had disappeared as well.
What kind of place was this?
An Mo had traveled to countless places and seen many strange things, but even he hadn’t expected to find an entire world hidden behind an ordinary cave.
Before he could ask anything, Teng Yunxiao suddenly warned him.
"Keep your aura concealed. Don’t release it under any circumstances. Otherwise, you’ll have several heads poking out of the sea before you know it."
An Mo’s expression changed slightly.
"Several heads?"
Teng Yunxiao glanced at him.
"Do you think the Primordial Tide Clan lives on land?"
An Mo fell silent. He finally understood why Teng Yunxiao had warned him to be careful.
The sea before them wasn’t an ordinary sea. It was the territory of the Primordial Tide Clan, and countless members of that clan might be hidden beneath its surface.
If he carelessly released his aura, they might immediately sense the presence of an outsider.
And judging from how secretive the clan was, An Mo doubted they would welcome unexpected visitors.
He nodded. "Understood. But how are we supposed to find your disciple? We aren’t going to fly directly over the sea, are we?"
Teng Yunxiao looked at him as if he had asked something ridiculous. "Of course we’re going to fly. What else do you suggest? Swimming?"
An Mo immediately shook his head. "Definitely not!"
He wasn’t foolish enough to jump into an unfamiliar sea, especially one belonging to a secretive clan whose members might be hiding beneath the water.
Teng Yunxiao chuckled.
"That’s right. We can’t swim across it either. There are too many members of the Primordial Tide Clan living beneath the sea. If we enter the water carelessly, they might silence us before we even reach the other side."
An Mo’s mouth twitched.
Uncle Teng certainly had a way of making things sound terrifying.
However, he couldn’t deny that the warning made sense. He unfurled his enormous wings and prepared to carry Teng Yunxiao with him.
"Uncle Teng, come up. I’ll take you with me."
Teng Yunxiao shook his head.
"No need. I have my own way."
An Mo paused.
Before he could ask what Teng Yunxiao meant, a pair of emerald-green wings suddenly unfurled behind the older man’s back.
An Mo stared.
His mouth slowly fell open.
What?!
Wings?!
Teng Yunxiao actually had wings!
He watched as the emerald wings spread fully behind Teng Yunxiao, their feathers shimmering with a faint green light. The wings weren’t as enormous as his own, but they were still impressive.
An Mo was completely dumbfounded.
How had the Teng Clan suddenly grown wings?
He had known Xuan Long for a long time, yet he had never seen wings on him. Neither had he heard of the Teng Clan possessing such a bloodline.
And those horns!
An Mo’s gaze shifted toward Teng Yunxiao’s head. The horns were far larger than those he had seen on ordinary members of the Teng Clan. Their shape and presence were completely different.
A thought suddenly flashed through his mind.
Could it be that Uncle Teng’s bloodline had undergone a transformation?
After all, he had seen that Xiao Yi’s bloodline had improved after consuming certain treasures, allowing the little cub to develop unusual characteristics.
Could something similar have happened to Teng Yunxiao?
Had his bloodline evolved into that of a true dragon?
An Mo stared at the emerald wings, then at the impressive horns.
The more he looked, the more convinced he became. It seemed that Uncle Teng had undergone a remarkable transformation! However, he wisely kept his questions to himself for the moment.
After all, Teng Yunxiao was his elder. If the older man wanted to explain, he would do so when the time was right.
