Chapter 78: A mysterious package

Shaking her head, she looked at the man who was already glancing at her.

"What are you thinking?" Callahan asked.

Sienna smiled and leaned forward as she poked his forehead, "That in the future, I must treat you tenderly," With gentler fingers, she stroked the spot she just poked.

"I can already feel your tenderness," Callahan sighed and leaned into her touch, catching her off guard.

After breakfast, they left the villa together.

The moment Sienna stepped out, her footsteps slowed.

A classic white Astor Martin was parked in front of Callahan’s black Maybach.

"See if you like it,’’ Callahan nudged Sienna.

"Is it for me?"

"For the five other wives I have in the country."

Sienna glared at the man.

Callahan acted like he hadn’t just opened his mouth to say some poisonous words.

Sienna walked to the car and took a closer look, "It looks good,’’ she nodded to herself and then to him.

"Looks good? Is that all?" Nobody noticed when Leon had slithered across to Callahan’s side, "There are only two of those in the world. How could it only look good to her?"

Leon was a bit exasperated, "Ah what a waste of resource. I told you, you should give it to me instead!"

"As long as it looks good," Callahan nodded at Sienna.

Leon: "_" How can they be so nonchalant about it?

Grumbling to himself, he spoke to Sienna, "Although you won’t find someone as skilled as me, I can still arrange a driver for you."

"I like driving."

"She likes driving."

Two people spoke at the same time.

Something twisted in Leon’s stomach. Oh was it sickly sweetness in the air?

When Sienna arrived at Qing Horizons, the chatter in the hallway suddenly died down.

They all bowed to her.

"Boss, the car outside is really impressive," General Manager Harris remarked with an oily laugh on his face.

Sienna glanced at the man before she looked at the rest of them, "Where is Linda?"

"Linda has taken a leave," Flora looked a little restless as she stepped forward, "Boss, in your office..." she hesitated.

Sienna walked past them.

When she entered her office room, two people were sitting on the couch.

"Sis, you are here," The moment she saw Sienna, Kira rushed forward to hug her.

Sienna stepped to the side and Kira crashed on the office desk on her face.

"Sienna!" Daniel stood up from the couch, his expressions changing, "Your sister has been waiting here for you since the past two hours and this is how you treat her?" His tone unpleasant.

Sienna looked at the man, "I don’t remember inviting her over."

"You just don’t know how to appreciate kindness. How can you be so ungrateful?!" The man snarled.

"Sorry to disappoint you, dad. I can’t embrace people who will stab my back."

"You..."

"Sis, daddy... don’t fight over me," Kira burst into tears as she rushed into her father’s arms, "Sis, don’t blame daddy. He is just... upset because of the rumors."

Sienna paused briefly.

"Hmph!" Daniel consoled his younger daughter while looking at Sienna in disappointment, "You have no sense of rumors and no accountability. And in the name of reputation, you are left with nothing either!"

The man slammed an elegant card on her office desk, "Next week, it’s your sister’s engagement. Make sure to be there on time."

As he turned to leave, Daniel Qing didn’t forget to remind her, "At any cost, do not damage the family reputation again. Or I will show you no mercy this time!"

When the door opened, a bunch of people were gathered in the hallway.

They instantly bowed respectfully to Daniel and dispersed upon seeing the chairman.

Never in their wildest dreams had they expected to meet him one day.

That too, under such circumstances.

"Flora," Sienna called out to her secretary, her voice was icy.

The remaining people standing there watching the drama quickly fled.

As Flora entered, she closed the translucent glass door behind her, "Boss, we don’t know how it started but there are ugly rumors that... that..."

"That you are some wealthy person’s... mistress," Flora nearly burst into tears, "They are saying that after your father cut you off, you relied on him to make a comeback. And... he is sponsoring you."

Flora expected Sienna’s mood to worsen even further.

Sienna waved her hand, "Quick, come over..."

Flora picked it up and her eyes widened, "This..."

"Yes, Boss! I will be on the mission right away!" Instantly boosted with energy, Flora dashed away.

Sienna was taken aback by the girl’s easily switchable spirit.

As Sienna lowered her head, her gaze lingered on the engagement invitation and a hint of disinterest flashed in her eyes.

But as she looked at her iPad, her eyes sparkled again.

That afternoon, a mysterious package arrived at the Hawke Corporation.

It was labelled with the insignia of a rare diamond brand. The way of arrival was rather high profile as there was a huge bouquet of hydrangea flowers.

The employees were all restless and curious.

"Ah, ah, who is the main character?"

"How would I know? Whoever it is, they would be in big trouble, causing such a big fuss."

"Right, the Vice President is present today. I wonder who this unlucky person is?"

"Sigh... It’s just a young lady being pursued by a man. Do we have to make it hard for her?"
