[FROLO]

The city of Frolo had seen everything at this point.

The good. The bad.

The unhinged.

But never in the city’s years had they woken up to this much confusion.

Just the previous day, the government was at war with the Moskowskys, and so many videos had been released, not to mention statements and the Shopkeeper showing up physically.

But even those were nothing compared to the madness they woke up to.

For starters...

All three hundred orphanages in the realm had been fully funded for a year. College tuition had been paid for random students. Hospital bills had been settled. Homes for the elderly had been sorted and were being reworked even now.

Everything was insane.

Where funding had once been a problem, funding had suddenly appeared.

As if that wasn’t bad enough to terrorize the city...

Frolo woke up to a marked Sergei Moskowsky.

How did they know, anyone would ask...

But Sergei Vladimirovich Moskowsky... The devil of Frolo...

Had been busy.

Very busy and letting everyone know that he’d been marked.

The photos posted on the Moskowsky employee forums, social media pages, random bloggers reposting, and all that shit.

Midnight, many speculated, was the beginning of the random donations, the kind of shit that terrified the city in the weirdest of ways.

There were no threats, just Sergei Moskowsky flaunting the mark on his neck like a little shit who’d just realized the other side of life.

He was happy, and he was making sure everyone knew it.

By the time morning had come, Sergei had made over two hundred social media posts of his mark, and how Katya’s teeth were the best thing that had ever happened to him.

At the risk of sounding stupid and insane, he didn’t care. What mattered the most... was Katya’s mark on him.

He talked about it like it was the next relief for everyone.

Funnily enough, while the big bad wolf of Frolo was telling the realm, and anyone with ears know he was marked, his Hercules camp team and everyone else were ready for war.

In fact, they had attacked some of the bratva operations that morning, led by Yaroslav.

Everything seemed normal even when it wasn’t normal.

The devil of Frolo was an idiot in love, while his operations went as planned. It was something else altogether.

Katya was still asleep at nine o’clock thanks to Sergei using his pheromones to let his omega sleep.

All that time, Sergei was in the kitchen with Masha, preparing food while making sure Masha Romanov saw the mark Katya had left on Sergei. Gods, Sergei was. A proud menace in the morning.

"It’s pretty, right?" Sergei had asked every ten minutes in the kitchen as he helped Masha with the breakfast. He was elated, excited even. He looked like he had just unlocked the greatest key to happiness, and he was sharing it with the world.

Meanwhile, his phone was blowing up with Anya’s calls and messages.

Masha had picked up one of the few hundred times that Anya had called.

"Put that emotionally useless little shit on the phone. What the fuck was that stupid idiot thinking, donating billions in charity in the middle of a fucking war?!

"That kid will be the death of me, that stupid barbarian!!" Anya had screeched, and she might have continued if Sergei hadn’t arrived on time just to tell Masha to ignore the call. That he would deal with it all himself.

But Masha couldn’t help but be amused.

She had never expected that there was someone who talked to the devil of Frolo like a parent dealing with a brainless, stubborn child. Anya Kavinsky was definitely going to slap Sergei’s head off his neck.

"Maybe she’s worried about you?" Masha said the moment the phone rang again, and Sergei ignored it.

"She’ll make me write long essays detailing my apology. If I answer her call right now, it will be worse. I’ll pick up when she is calm...

"... Which I doubt will be anytime soon, given how she has been calling constantly," Sergei shrugged like there wasn’t an older woman who was about to suffer an aneurysm because of him. Gods, the alpha was whipped.

"Sounds like a long day," Masha said before adding, "The moon mark he left on you is beautiful... Are you really sure you want to stay marked to an omega?"

"Solnyshka makes me happy. I want to be his in every lifetime... I told Vitya about him a few times, and well, things have been fine. Vitya will understand.

"He told me to be happy, and I found happiness in Solnyshka," the alpha shrugged like it was just a regular Tuesday and that the city wasn’t confused as hell about what the fuck was going on in his head.

Honestly, there was no way to tell right now. Maybe Katya would be able to help them figure Sergei out, but this happy Sergei was a menace that Anya was already stressed about.

"Michka wants you happy too. I see the way he looks at you, like you’re everything he prayed for and more. Take care of each other, alright?" Masha said as she continued cooking with Sergei helping her out.

Of course, other than the fact that Sergei was constantly asking her about the mark and getting excited every time Masha told him it looked good. Not that his phone had stopped ringing either.

Katya woke up right before breakfast was set, and he woke up to three hundred missed calls from Anya, and no scent of Sergei other than the one in the room. It was still faint, though.

Maybe something had happened to Sergei.

So Katya called back.

"Miss Anya..." Katya greeted groggily.

"You marked him," Anya said flatly.

"Yes. He’s mine," Katya said like he was stating an obvious fact.

"Good. Which means you’re equipped to deal with him on his happy bouts too, right?" Anya said, not even surprised that Katya wasn’t bothered about Sergei bearing his mark.

"What is that supposed to mean?" he asked.

"That empty-headed boyfriend of yours decided it was a really good idea to remind the city that he belongs to you. He’s been posting about it since midnight. Oh, and he donated billions to random charities.

"And the Hercules team had a mission this morning against the bratva that the city knows about. So congratulations, Katya. You created an absolute menace and left the city with it while you were sleeping soundly.

"Check the socials. And tie that brainless shit to your bed because if I catch him today, I’m going to kill him with my bare hands," Anya warned before hanging up.

Katya was confused.

He was still too sleepy, but the way Anya had spoken had him curious. So he checked the socials, only to be met with things worse than what Anya had talked about.

Sergei didn’t sleep because he was busy documenting Katya’s mark on him?

What the fuck?

The more Katya scrolled, the more he found himself laughing at the alpha’s absurdity.

Gods, Sergei was insane.

Insanely in love.

The city was still in turmoil.

Katya noticed they tried to argue that the mark was a distraction to make the city forget what was happening, but then the mission had snapped the city back to the possibility that Sergei Moskowsky was just happy he got marked by Katya Romanov.

How the fuck were they to even deal with this?

And Katya, he couldn’t help the smile on his face and the laughter that slipped out with every post he scrolled.

Sighing amusedly, he brushed his teeth and went to look for his very excited boyfriend.

"Good morning, my Solnyshka... Your mama and I made breakfast. And I made you pelmeni too, your favorite," Sergei said, and Katya was glad his father had left for work already.

Because this was the kind of shit that would have had the old man side-eyeing them all breakfast.

"Good morning, alpha. You look happy," Katya smiled, and Masha snorted at that.

Happy was an understatement.

Sergei was over and beyond the moon at this point in time, and he didn’t have any qualms about what he was doing.

"Anya says hello," Katya added when Sergei kissed his forehead tenderly and pulled him into a hug.

"She’s going to kill me, but it’s absolutely worth it... Shall we?" Sergei said, pulling back before he set the table with Masha.

And Katya...

He could stay in this moment with Sergei forever. Especially since he could see the way his mark on Sergei was pulsing with every breath the alpha took.

Or was Katya just horny for his menace in the morning?
