Contract Marriage: Married to My Ex-Husband's Alpha Stepfather [BL]
Chapter 457: Reflections Of A Broken Man
[FROLO]
Violence and brutality were not new to Sergei Moskowsky, but every time a video of Sergei inside a torture room popped up, the city had to rewrite what they knew about the man.
They had to try to think and act fast because Sergei Moskowsky had proven to be the most unpredictable of them all.
He was a predator; that much was certain.
And the fact that the whole city had just seen him torture and blow up a doctor, all while maintaining the fact that he respected his Solnyshka’s choices, was creepy and unhinged.
Because war with a predictable man was easy.
That was what this was supposed to be.
The government was to use Katya to control Sergei. But the plan failed.
And worse, they were not even what Sergei was targeting. The government had been targeted because Sergei was determined to wipe out Aleksandr and all he held dear.
But with the torture of Katya and the lies, even President Boris knew he had fucked up and would soon find out. Not because the city was on their backs demanding justice, but because right now...
Sergei had Katya back.
Sergei would not let the realm know he had Katya back.
And Sergei...
Gods, the president didn’t know what to do about him anymore.
The real chance they had was Aleksandr, and the man had already left. Disappointed by the way things had happened. But that wasn’t all there was.
Because as the president and his team sat in the briefing room brainstorming as Chief Zhenya led the briefing, someone knocked on the door.
A guard.
But just any guard.
The first lady’s personal guard.
One look at his face, and the president dismissed everyone in the room. He didn’t even think twice about it. Only Zhenya remained standing beside him. Because Zhenya was part of his private life too.
Perhaps this was the end, was it not?
"What happened?" President Boris asked, leaning subconsciously toward Zhenya, who was standing beside him.
Zhenya didn’t pull away.
He let the president lean on him.
Because every word from the guard’s mouth had the president freezing a few times too many.
Oh, but this wasn’t good.
"What... What is that supposed to mean?" President Boris staggered as he tried to sit back in his chair, but he failed. So he sat on the table and leaned on it because even Zhenya was looking at him differently.
"All the people you and the first lady have ever been intimately involved with, Sergei kidnapped them. He left a message," the guard said, and the president stiffened.
Not just because of what Sergei was going to do.
But because for the first time there was an admission of a list.
A list of people he had been with over the years.
He’d made Zhenya believe he was the only one.
He’d been with Zhenya most of the time.
But this...
This wasn’t just a kidnapping.
This was the president’s infidelity being brought to book. And that too by the craziest man the realm had ever had the displeasure of seeing.
Sergei really was the devil.
"What’s the message?" Zhenya said in a clipped tone, not liking what he was hearing.
President Boris had cheated on him.
Not just with one person.
Forty-six people in twenty years.
Forty-six people President Boris had been with, and he lied about it all.
And now it was all in the light because of Sergei.
The guard pulled out a piece of paper, one written in blood, and it had droplets on it. It was sketchy as hell, but it couldn’t be creepier than the message.
"You took my beloved for five weeks. I will send back yours and your wife’s beloved in pieces for five weeks. Have fun explaining to the city why civilians are being murdered by me.
"I will take credit for it all. You touched my home; I will make sure yours never survives. Check the patio; the first delivery of the day is done.
"Tit for tat, Boris. I can be petty too. ~S." the guard read, hands shaking at the cruelty that was being promised in this paper. It shouldn’t have meant anything.
The message on the paper.
But the city had just watched Doctor Belyaeva’s execution by Sergei. They had just watched the man who was barely functioning after losing Katya turn things to the max.
And now that same maniac was promising destruction.
Because to Sergei...
Katya had been a civilian.
Katya should never have been touched in the damn war.
But Katya had been touched.
Tortured.
Isolated.
Injected with a pain serum.
And Sergei would not forgive.
Not as the Moskowsky head.
And certainly not as Katya’s Vladimir.
He would burn them all.
"What is the first delivery?" the president asked shakily, like he wanted to call the bluff, but this was Sergei they were dealing with.
The man who refused to lose again.
"Senator Hawkins’ head," the guard said, and Zhenya’s head had never snapped that fast toward the president.
The same senator the president had denied sleeping with countless times.
"What?" Zhenya breathed, the betrayal in his eyes so raw, the disappointment so real. He looked like he had just been stabbed in the heart a thousand times.
And the same president Boris’s head was hanging low in shame?
Gods, Zhenya couldn’t believe this.
"We haven’t informed his family yet, but if this letter is real, then we are to expect more bodies. What should we do, sir?" the guard asked the president, who was not even listening.
A sitting senator was dead.
A senator he had been sleeping with.
A senator he had denied sleeping with one too many times. One he’d made Zhenya believe was just another executive in the running of Frolo.
But now...
Now things were changing.
Things had gotten more insane.
Things had come to light, and even the president didn’t know what to say to it.
"Deal with it. Don’t tell his family yet. And excuse us," Zhenya said, and the guard stepped aside.
He knew what that meant.
Because he knew the president was sleeping with Zhenya too. So right now they had things to discuss, maybe the president’s infidelity or maybe the way that life was changing fast for them.
Either way, the guard didn’t say a word.
Not even as Zhenya grabbed President Boris’s hand and dragged him right out of the room. His rage showing.
They were currently in the wing that was closest to the president’s chambers. So it wasn’t hard for Zhenya and the president to reach the president’s bedroom.
When they got there...
Zhenya had never looked that pissed.
Or maybe he had sometimes, and the president was never the target.
But right now...
He was.
"Daddy, please... I can explain," Boris said, his voice softening, his whines making a show as Zhenya ignored the president and pulled his own tie off harshly.
"Don’t... Don’t call me that. Don’t you dare call me that," Zhenya growled coldly, and the beta president flinched.
"I love you. I’ve only ever loved you," President Boris begged, his eyes brimming with tears so fast, like it was his conditioning.
He was not the president in here.
He was just Zhenya’s beta.
"Forty-six partners, Boris. Forty-six!!!" Zhenya boomed, and when Boris walked toward him, Zhenya stopped him.
"You disgust me," Zhenya growled.
And Boris...
The president sobbed for mercy.
Affection.
Yet neither came.
Instead, after begging for an hour, Zhenya looked at him.
"I’ll only stay as your chief of security. Nothing more. Excuse me... Mr. President," Zhenya said flatly, using the tone he used with everyone, including President Boris.
And when Zhenya left...
"I’ll never forgive you, Sergei Moskowsky. I’ll take your precious omega from you like you took my alpha," the Beta president swore, unknowingly adding himself to the list of people who Sergei didn’t give a fuck about.
