Chapter 1518: Chapter 31: Blitz (14)_3
"Even if not all of them, most of them." Beize squinted slightly, "Since they took a detour from Frenso Town, it means they don’t care about the gains or losses of the front lines! The victory or defeat of this battle has already shifted from positional offense and defense to striking living forces."
"Decisive battle?!" The chief of staff said in shock.
"Yes, a decisive battle!" Beize sneered, "They’ve designated Sunset Mountain as the decisive battle site. They don’t care about the loss of one city or another, and all tactics being implemented are to establish advantage before the final decisive battle begins!"
"Unbelievable," though not daring to retort, the chief of staff blurted out, "This is too crazy."
"Crazy?" Beize glanced indifferently at his chief of staff.
Perhaps he was too assertive, so all along, his chief of staff had strong execution ability but lacked sufficient insight and adaptability. Even if he had these, he never had the opportunity to showcase them.
"This isn’t madness; it’s their only way to break this setup. To sum it up, it boils down to one phrase," Beize looked up, hands behind his back, and enunciated slowly, "Using one’s scheme against them, turn the tables, facing death yet finding life!"
The chief of staff quickly thought over Beize’s entire battle analysis and urgently said, "Admiral, if the enemies have gathered all their reserve forces at Sunset Mountain, then our operational plan is already unfeasible. Are we to just retreat?"
"Have you ever seen one of two dueling lions dare turn its back on its opponent," Beize shook his head, "Sunset Mountain has been fought to the point of no return. Since the enemies have gathered enough troops, we must hold on. Retreating will only offer our back to the enemy."
Seeing the heavy faces of the staff, Beize smiled and lightly patted the chief of staff’s shoulder, "This is just talk, but it doesn’t mean we will lose this battle."
Beize’s words brightened everyone’s eyes, fixing their gaze as he walked to the simulation computer at the command stage, launched the simulation program, stretched his fingers, and sat down.
"If we retract forces from Charloks Main Battle Zone, Jingfeng Valley, and Bilin Mountain, only maintaining defensive forces, my Jiepeng 25 Army Group and Suss 21 Army Group can deploy a total of ten divisions!"
Beize’s hand rapidly moved across the simulation computer, making units distributed among the steep mountains light up one by one.
"Marshal Bellif still holds over ten divisions of reserves. At Sunset Mountain’s front line, there are two hundred Judger Mecha. The enemy currently concentrating forces at Sunset Mountain is only about twenty divisions. This is all they have. Otherwise, they wouldn’t supplement forces from the front line in this manner."
"In the decisive battle, they don’t hold the advantage. If this force is lost, Sunset Mountain would be the final grave for Resk Main Army’s main forces."
"It’s been a long time since I’ve had the chance to conduct a simulation myself, maybe I’m a bit rusty," Beize’s lips curled into a smile, "Yet what I need to do now is just three words... stall them!"
His hand moved quickly across the screen. Rows of data and information flowed like a waterfall.
Under the admiring gazes of the staff, one after another operation plans for different units were sent via the SkyNet Command System to their respective destinations.

In the swaying Command Mecha, Fatty stared at the electronic sand table wide-eyed, with a face full of amazement.
In front of the sand table, Robert, Bonnie, Pereira, Rashid, and Stewart all wore expressions as stern as iron, engaged in a hushed yet intense discussion about the intelligence from the reconnaissance units at the front and the information sent by the little kid at the rear.
The newly received intelligence showed that the main force had just crossed Eagle Mountain less than five kilometers when enemy blocking units appeared at the front.
Further outward, there was a vast amount of Jiepeng forces like sharks smelling blood, forming seven or eight large and small assault arrows, either pursuing or intercepting, along different routes closing in rapidly, quickly compressing the bandit army’s living space.
These are known factors, but how many unknown ones are there?
These Jiepeng forces were evidently not coming to line the roads in welcome, and more critically, they didn’t appear to be aiming for a last-ditch effort.
Units of Jiepeng forces broke apart and scattered, with some establishing blocking positions directly, while others seized strategic points on either side of the bandit army’s advance path, watchful but withholding action.
Clearly, they were resolved not to engage the bandit army in a frontal massive confrontation but to hold up the bandit army with a wolf pack tearing strategy.
If not cleared, they will miss the bandit army vanguard along the path, turning to attack the following troops. If they aim to eliminate them, they would entangle the bandit army. And these scattered units occupy divided positions, able to consolidate or disperse swiftly, fighting endlessly.
For any unit eager to pass quickly, this tactic is damn frustrating.
Fatty was very angry. He angrily glared at the rapidly changing electronic sand table, as if seeing an extremely tough and cunning opponent sneering at him.
Jiepeng 25 Army Group Commander, Beize Xian!
This old immortal!
