Creepy Pharmacist: All my patients are scary!
Chapter 836: Why Did You Sew Us Together?
The magic circle around them also slowly lit up.
And it was at this very instant.
Whoosh-
A bloodthirsty, incomparably dense yin wind suddenly blew in from both the main door and the windows, rattling as it instantly tore apart the cloth curtains covering the windows, causing everyone present to shudder.
It's here!
At this moment, even those wandering souls hanging upside down, curiously studying Bai Yi's big (bleep-)(bleep-), all trembled violently. Then, as if sensing something extremely terrifying, they instantly let out a series of piercing long shrieks, transformed into countless human faces, and whooshed out the windows to flee.
A massive wave of resentment rumbled in from beyond the main door.
And at some unknown point.
The scene outside the windows and the main door had turned a bloody red, and thick blood-colored mist slowly seeped inward.
Bai Yi, whose young psyche had just suffered enormous trauma, jolted. He immediately drew his silver sword, quickly pressed down the disobedient mechanical big (bleep-bleep), and stood guard in front of the spirit communication magic circle and that door."Something's not right."
The lips of one nearby investigator turned pale as he stared fixedly at the blood mist surging outside the door, gripping the cross on his chest tightly.
"It seems... it seems like there's more than... more than one wraith..."
Bai Yi whipped his head around, looking toward Yin Qin, who was still seated at the center of the spirit communication magic circle. Her eyes remained closed as she chanted in a low voice, but the fingers forming a certain hand gesture were visibly trembling.
And in front of her, on the surface of that hollow corpse, blisters resembling burn wounds were slowly swelling up one after another.
Pop-
It was as if the corpse was boiling.
Those blood blisters burst one after another, releasing wave after wave of intense corpse stench.
Yin Qin still had her eyes closed, but the speed of her low chanting had clearly quickened.
And then, in the very next moment.
The main door violently exploded.
Within the thick blood mist, two blood-colored footprints suddenly emerged on the concrete floor in front of the warehouse door, and everyone's gazes trembled.
Step by step.
Those bloody footprints slowly approached the corpse.
Everyone's hearts turned ice-cold. That massive resentment and the stench of blood were so overwhelming that even their breathing felt labored.
Yin Qin had summoned the soul of that corpse...
Had she called it over?!
Bai Yi stood on high alert, his pupils quivering, because he immediately noticed something was wrong. Those footprints seemed to be more than just one set. Instead, they looked like the imprint of multiple footprints overlaid on top of each other, like some kind of... some kind of...
Bzzt-
A bloody wind swept across their faces.
And almost simultaneously, Yin Qin, seated within the magic circle, snapped her eyes open, but there were no irises at all, only pure white.
And the corpse sitting across from her also opened its eyes at the same instant, its face revealing an extremely ferocious expression. The distortion of its features was so extreme that the flesh and blood on its face squeezed and plopped down in chunks, and from within the corpse came overlapping waves of sharp, piercing wails.
Yin Qin's eyes were wide open, completely white.
Faintly, one could seemingly see a translucent, long-haired figure step out from her body, then instantly charge into that corpse.
Bzzt-
The ferocious expression on the corpse's face froze, then slowly reverted to a hollow, vacant look.
And Yin Qin's eyes also slowly returned to normal, but her expression was visibly grim and solemn.
In the distance.
An investigator near the back narrowed his eyes slightly, a flicker of blood-red light flashing within them.
Silence all around.
Yin Qin stared fixedly at the corpse before her and said:
"What is your name?"
Bai Yi held his breath. Although he kept feeling that something was off, it seemed this spirit communication had still successfully completed its final step. He dared not interrupt, gripping the sword hilt tightly with vigilant caution.
The corpse's broken lips parted hollowly and said:
"Kalin... Zhang Yanling... Bai..."
It said several names in a row, and within its hollow eyes appeared an unmistakable confusion, as if even it couldn't figure out which one its name actually was.
Yin Qin watched it and continued asking: "Do you believe in the Flesh and Blood Cult?"
The corpse said hollowly: "Yes."
This time, it gave an extremely definitive answer.
"What is your purpose in coming here?"
"By the Bishop's command... after assisting in completing the sacrificial ritual for hell... to guide that Madam..."
Yin Qin's gaze trembled slightly as she asked: "Who is that Madam?"
The corpse said stiffly: "A... Evil Ghost who fell into hell... we call her 'Wrath'... we will summon her back when the time comes... let her go... seek revenge..."
Yin Qin paused for a moment, her brows furrowing slightly, as if she was struggling to process the information she had obtained from its mouth.
"Do you know you will die?"
"Yes."
"What did you say to that Evil Spirit?"
"The person who dismembered you and your daughter back then... did not fall into hell... you won't have to wait for him... he is still alive in this world... he lives... very well..."
As it spoke to this point, the corpse's broken mouth corners slowly split open, actually revealing a cruel curve.
From its shattered throat came waves of hoarse, grating, boiling sounds.
Yin Qin's eyes narrowed slightly, flickering incessantly, as she said:
"What is your goal?"
The corpse clicked its head upward, its hollow gaze fixed on her.
"To seek some great relics for my god - but before that - enough people must die - and letting those unsolvable evil spirits reappear in this world - will better stir the fear in people's hearts - don't you think?"
Yin Qin's brows furrowed tighter and tighter, and she also clearly sensed that the other party's tone and manner of speaking were becoming increasingly coherent and organized.
But a wraith should not behave like this.
So she asked her final question.
"You knew I would summon your spirit?"
The corpse did not answer. It merely stared hollowly at Yin Qin across from it. Then its face slowly twisted into a sharp, piercing smile, blood and flesh mince squeezing and oozing from its face, its throat emitting waves of hoarse tones.
Faintly, it was like the laughter of multiple wraiths squeezed and overlapping together.
"Otherwise, why do you think - we sewed several of our bodies together?"
And it was almost at that very instant.
Bai Yi suddenly heard the sound of a bullet being chambered. When he abruptly turned to look, the investigator standing behind everyone had already raised his hand. A pitch-black pistol slowly rose from his sleeve. The instant the trigger was pulled, the sound of the gunshot echoed through the entire silent warehouse.
Right within his pupils.
That bullet grazed past his cheek, cut through the air, and in the moment Yin Qin turned her head.
It was reflected in her eyes.
Bang-
"Yin Qin-jie!!!
[Note: In ancient necromancy, sewing together multiple brutally dismembered corpses was equivalent to stitching their souls together, thereby creating an even more twisted and hateful Evil Ghost.]
