Creepy Pharmacist: All my patients are scary!

Chapter 844: The Joy of a Chaotic Creature!

  • Next Chapter

Bai Yi sat there stiffly, watching Lynn thump his own temple with dull thuds, intending to knock the bullet inside that skull out through his ear.

He really wanted to say it.

Big Brother.

Can we please not tell these hellish jokes? Even though I'm desperately trying to explain for you, trying to tell others you really are human, at least give me a chance, Big Brother!

Big Brother!

Bang bang, boom—

Almost simultaneously, several more bullets blasted toward Lynn.

With a single slap, Lynn smacked one of the incoming bullets right back, his dead-fish eyes fixed on the Evil Spirit Conglomerate as he said:

"Firing two or three times is enough. Seeing it has no effect and still firing continuously, as a follower of the Flesh and Blood Cult, don't you know that flesh monsters are the least afraid of physical attacks?"

Swoosh, crackle, clatter—

Almost in that instant, Lynn thrust out his hand, his arm instantly transforming into a long tentacle covered in barbs.

With a fierce horizontal sweep toward the mist.

Those gun-wielding controlled bodies were instantly severed in half by the ghastly tentacle, exploding into countless sprays of blood mist with pops and bangs.

Lynn's gaze shifted at the same time.

Toward those wandering souls shrieking and floating toward him.

Shoom, shoom, shoom, shoom—

Countless tendrils sprouted from his body like seedlings bursting forth, precisely targeting every "human" silhouette, popping them like balloons into countless puffs of smoke and dust.

There was no difficulty at all.

Not even comparable to the weakest Evil Spirits he had encountered in Wandering Souls Alley, which would melt away at the slightest touch.

Wandering souls of this level could at most make an ordinary person fall gravely ill, let alone deal with a great philanthropist like him. Even if he just stood there and let them gnaw on him for half a day, besides making him feel good, they probably wouldn't leave much of an impression.

Because many monsters in hell were abnormally powerful, and there were plenty of big shots, it was hard to showcase just how impressive his all-around stat allocation was.

But curb-stomping weaklings on Earth.

That was no problem at all.

In less than a dozen seconds, the wandering souls within sight had been completely cleared by Lynn.

And with no wandering souls left to command, the Evil Spirit Conglomerate's gaze grew increasingly terrified, continuously retreating, its entire body already reeking of trembling fear.

Lynn's gaze slowly turned toward it, stuck at the edge of hell's Rift, and said:

"That's why you need to learn humility. An Evil Spirit like you, even in our Wandering Souls Alley, would be nothing but a punching bag. Like that little girl you summoned last time, why is it that she's exceptionally cruel to you lot, but only goes 'wuwuwu' for me? Do you still not understand?"

"This is the way of survival! Idiot."

The Evil Spirit Conglomerate's gaze grew even more terrified, and finally, with a trembling jolt, it whipped its head around and instantly charged into the mist behind it.

And this was the downside of still retaining human consciousness. Though sometimes it allowed you to make rational judgments, it likewise imparted to any living being the most fundamental of base instincts.

That was fear.

A true Evil Ghost would absolutely never retreat.

Their twisted consciousness contained only the evil of slaughter and devouring, and without rationality, they were equally without fear.

But clearly, they couldn't manage that.

Run!

In that instant.

There was no longer any thought of opposing him left in their consciousness, because casually resolving so many wandering souls with such ease had long since made clear the chasm-like gap between them.

"Big Brother!"

Bai Yi hurriedly turned his head, anxiously looking toward Lynn at the edge of the Rift.

Lynn smiled and adjusted his monocle, saying:

"It's fine, I really like this feeling!"

After all, it hadn't been easy climbing up here. Though he couldn't step across this Rift, how could he possibly let such a golden opportunity to curb-stomp weaklings slip by so easily?

Run!

ヽ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ

The more you run, the more excited I get!

Though he wasn't exactly a Chaotic Evil creature, this nasty habit unique to the Chaotic Alignment of enjoying toying with others really did sometimes make him unable to resist acting out!

Swoosh, crackle, clatter—

His tentacles, like vines, slowly burrowed into the ground, creeping toward the mist.

...

At the same time.

On the small road at the village entrance, accompanied by the sound of car engines, beams of high-beam headlights swept over.

And then, with a dense thudding of footsteps, one fully armed soldier after another poured out of the trucks, forming a highly vigilant row, slowly advancing toward the village shrouded in massive Yin energy.

"We've arrived!"

In the lead off-road vehicle, a man in a suit pressed his ear communicator grimly and lowly, carrying a briefcase as he quickly stepped out of the door.

And if Bai Yi were here, he would surely recognize him at a glance as a Demon Hunter he had seen before at the Supernatural Administration Headquarters.

Backed by the Church of Jesus, in God's name, cleansing all Evil Entities across the world.

Click, clack—

He opened the briefcase, took out a pure silver revolver, calmly clicked inscribed bullets into it, and slowly drew a pure silver-forged blade from his waist.

He gazed heavily at the village shrouded in Ghost Energy, a gun in one hand and a sword in the other, and strode to the front of the soldiers, saying:

"Check your magazines, raise your vigilance. What you're dealing with this time is not your fellow man on the battlefield."

Fifteen exorcism bullets per person.

All had been bathed in holy water before departure and could to some extent block Evil Spirits from possessing them.

Specialized lenses could to some extent let them see things normally invisible.

This was the first cooperation between the military and Exorcists like them who dealt with supernatural phenomena, after such occurrences grew increasingly frequent. But it was obvious that the counteroffensive against the supernatural had only just begun, and everything was still in the initial stage of exploration.

And just now.

He had received an emergency distress signal coming from this village.

It was a distress call from within their Supernatural Administration Headquarters. He had almost immediately realized something was wrong, but when he tried to connect to communications on that end, the signal to Headquarters was instantly cut off.

And without a doubt.

They had clearly encountered something extremely difficult to resolve in this village.

"Looks like Yin Qin and the others are in danger."

His gaze was gloomy, more solemn than ever before.

Because the closer they got, the thicker the malicious energy and Ghost Energy emanating from the village became. Even the surroundings had formed such dense mist, and for this kind of situation to occur, it was likely that an extremely terrifying Evil Spirit had appeared.

And if even a Spiritual Medium like Yin Qin couldn't handle it.

Then it only further proved the danger of this place.

"Advance carefully."

His gaze dark, he led the dozens of soldiers alertly into the village.

All around was dead silent.

The long street was completely shrouded in mist, giving off an extremely eerie feeling. Every step felt cold enough to seep deep into your bones.

He gravely pulled out a compass from his chest.

He bit his finger.

A drop of blood fell onto the compass.

The compass glowed faintly, then instantly seemed to malfunction, the needle spinning ceaselessly in every direction, the entire compass vibrating violently, until it finally stabilized, the needle barely pointing due north. But it only pointed for a moment.

Crack—

A thin crack appeared on the compass.

His brows instantly furrowed tight.

This compass was a vessel every Exorcist carried to locate powerful Evil Spirits and sources of curses. Even in extremely dense Yin energy, it could precisely find an Evil Ghost's hiding place for them. But he had never seen a situation like this.

As if there wasn't just some powerful Evil Spirit here, but also something even more terrifying...

His heart sank.

He only hoped it wasn't as he imagined.

"Keep moving!"

He led the dozens of soldiers, slowly pushing forward due north.

And who knew how long they walked.

Suddenly.

He sharply sensed an unusual presence in the mist ahead. His gaze instantly turned fierce as he violently drew his blade and barked:

"Something's coming! Ready!"

Shoom, shoom, shoom—

Instantly.

Every gun barrel aimed at the churning mist ahead.

The mist began to churn downward abnormally with a rumbling roar.

Their hearts leapt to their throats.

And then, the very next moment.

Accompanied by a shrill, piercing howl, a swollen, boiling, twisted form came scrambling gruesomely out of the mist.

At that sight, everyone's expression changed drastically.

That extremely cold and sinister aura, even before it drew near, made them feel waves of trembling and chilling dread throughout their bodies.

"This is..."

Though they had undergone special training for some time, as materialist soldiers who had never believed in ghosts and gods before, suddenly seeing a Flesh Wraith that existed only in horror films, how could they possibly not feel terror?

"An Evil Spirit Conglomerate?!"

The Demon Hunter's gaze was grim, his eyes sharpening as he abruptly stepped forward, the blade in his hand instantly igniting with blazing fire.

He realized the severity of the problem.

Because such an existence could absolutely not have arisen naturally. It must have been subject to artificial interference.

And the only ones capable of such a feat, as far as they knew, were the Flesh and Blood Cult they had been dealing with all along.

"Open fire!"

At a fierce shout.

Those soldiers instantly pulled their triggers.
