Cultivating in Honkai!
Chapter 508: Hug Addiction
Sending Welt Yang out was for two things.
First, the Astral Express. Although I never witnessed anything beyond version 3.8, I knew how crucial his contribution was into forming the current batch of ‘Nameless’. He was among the first ones that boarded the train with Himeko. Removing him out of the equation meant a brand new ‘future’ nobody has seen of.
I am more than certain about that plausibility. Remembrance held the memories of not just the present, but of the countless pasts that had turned to dust. In each one of them, Welt Yang is present.
Nonetheless, we are not so naive to think that things would go as we wished. Those who are interested in the ‘solar system’, to the immortal cultivation we offered, won’t sit still. To those who also had an agenda they must fulfill—courtesy of Finality—they won’t sit still either.
Hence, the second purpose.
Everyone knows well enough that we sent Welt Yang out. It meant that we also know of some truths exclusive to them—that we aren’t as clueless as the others thought. The attitudes of everyone else doesn’t matter. We only need to send that message to the Aeons outside.
Just like that, we placed an agent who would gauge the outside world. A vanguard force, per se. It is incredibly unfair to Welt Yang, though. He was always on overtime perfecting the ‘Secret Projects’ of the Artifact Forging Peak. The Project Qan[T] and Project Zhuxian are both completed in his hands. He also had an input on the Star Network, too.
Sending him off to become the first one outside was unfair, but Welt Yang agreed to it. I could not lie to him either as his presence is an extremely important factor for what is about to come.
In the end, we sent him off fully-loaded—artifacts, pills, formations, we gave everything he needed and would ever need. The others also followed instructions, leaving mind imprints to him, so that if anyone dared to make a move, we are one ping away from leaving the solar system.
Fortunately, I left several of my imprints outside. I looked in a certain direction and vaguely sensed my slumbering will. It felt so close, yet so far. The distance spanning between me and it wasn’t just physical distance. The numbers of imaginary barriers wrapping around each world has to be accounted for too.
Finally, the greatest backup within Welt Yang is his connection to the Star Network. Its second greatest feat was to anchor everyone connected to it. Even if their physical body perishes, their conceptual body (i.e., soul and spirit) will be recalled by it. Its range spans the entire universe. Only forces at the Dao Integration Realm could interfere with it.
At the thought of it all, I sighed out of relief. My worries stemmed less of distrusting their capabilities, but more on how Welt is a family man now. The more one has to lose, the greater the burden becomes on themselves. It also applies to me, which was why I felt it more deeply.
No longer worrying about it, I flew over to the sect quarters back on Earth. Welt Yang’s matter was the only major event that I missed out on. What surprised me, however, was the ‘seclusion’ status of nearly everyone—even my wives.
Immediately, I remembered the ‘surprise’ she happily spoke of. I already have a clue on what it was, and all I could say is that my kidney got threatened. Naturally, I thought of escaping it once, but that thought was quickly extinguished.
Now that they are all in seclusion, I wondered if something happened without my knowledge. I scrolled past the messages they all left, finding nothing at all. I thought of using the almighty divination to solve it, but I chose against doing it. My intuition did not sense something serious going on.
In the end, I decided to wait for them. There’s nothing a conversation cannot solve.
I closed the gate behind me and walked on the stone path. Nothing changed in my courtyard despite five years of absence…
Or not.
At our current level, we could sense the presence of others with but an intuition. A mind scan isn’t needed. A gaze, an utter of our name, or even the thought of it. We could catch them if we were willing. To reduce my troubles, however, I chose to shut it off to people I did not know. I left it open to those who are a part of my karma, that is, my close friends.
A somewhat speechless smile appeared on my face. Still, I did not stop walking to the front door. I easily opened it, devoid of any locks whatsoever. There was still the flooring for leaving one’s footwear behind. Further on was a step above the previous wooden flooring.
I stood frozen for no other reason than seeing Bronya. She is currently in her office clothes. Her dark gray blazer was layered atop her white blouse—which seemed too overwhelming at first glance. Her black pencil skirt rubbed against her transparent black stockings, emphasizing the curves of her hips. She crossed her arms underneath her chest, with her eyes opening soon after.
She was sitting on her knees. A traditional seiza, that is. Her strongest assets became even stronger.
“Welcome home.” She said with her soft yet ‘slightly’ strict tone. “Would you prefer a bath or a dinner?”
“With you?”
“With me.”
I held back my speechlessness. I couldn’t believe I predicted the ‘ridiculous’ plots they came up with. Bronya’s silver irises stared at my eyes, seemingly seeing through my thoughts, though she did not point it out.
“Of course, you can also opt for the welcome package.”
“...What does that include?”
“My mouth.”
“...”
I did not stand still this time. In a manner similar to Seele’s past groveling to the ground, my hands went underneath Bronya's armpits and carried her up. Surprise was visible on her eyes, with her mouth remaining opened in an o-shape.
Without saying anything else, I sealed her lips with mine. The faint coldness present on its surface was swept over by the soft, moist feeling. The kiss did not take long. I separated from her lips and placed my face right on her bosom. Her scent drifted to my nose along with its softness. I felt a pair of bra supporting Bronya’s greatest weapons as well as her ruffled blouse. It wasn’t as comfortable as hugging them naked, but it held a certain charm.
Just like this, all my tiredness seemed to drift away…ti
