Cultivation: I Have a Golden Talisman

Chapter 541 - 54: Six Great Divine Techniques

  • Next Chapter

Above a boundless sea of clouds.

A monk in white robes strode through the air, Golden Lotuses blooming beneath his feet and lingering long after he passed.

He held a string of Buddha Beads and chanted scriptures, moving through the sea of clouds with a carefree grace.

After a short while, he stopped and gazed into the distance, toward a certain spot on the Chu Shao Plateau.

Then, he tossed the Buddha Beads into the air and performed a spell.

Instantly, a brilliant Buddha Light erupted in the sky above the clouds.

The eighteen Buddha Beads scattered, covering an area several miles wide. A pure, gentle Buddha Light rained down, instilling a sense of peace in all who felt it.

The white-robed monk changed the Seal Technique in his hands, and the eighteen Buddha Beads in the sky began to move, following a profound trajectory.

Countless scriptures, formed from condensed Buddha Light, appeared in the void.

These scriptures, varying in size, poured down like rain, forming a dynamic, moving panorama above the sea of clouds.

Its contents shockingly revealed a scene of over a hundred Life Talisman Cultivators from the Divine Image Sect mining Taichu Divine Stones deep underground.

The white-robed monk stared intently at the underground vein, a glimmer in his eyes.

’I never imagined this Divine Stone Vein would be on such a scale...’

He murmured to himself, then retrieved the Buddha Beads and turned to walk toward the horizon.

He hadn’t gone far when he saw a surge of cyan divine light on the horizon. A cyan-and-gold Magical Boat was advancing side-by-side with a small mountain wreathed in starlight.

The cyan Magical Boat radiated a vast divine light, its giant sail catching the wind as it sped across the sky.

The starlit mountain, meanwhile, seemed to glide through a Star River. It moved in complete silence, its speed no slower than the cyan Magical Boat.

The white-robed monk was a Dharma Realm figure himself, renowned throughout the Cangwu Continent, so he recognized the origins of these two peak Tier Four Magical Artifacts at a glance.

He stopped, placed his palms together, and chanted, "Amitabha Buddha."

The cyan-and-gold Magical Boat and the Star God Hall both came to a halt.

A group of cultivators in lavish robes with cold, arrogant auras appeared on the Magical Boat, led by an imposing middle-aged man.

"So, it is Master Fuhu. I didn’t expect that even a master like you would be unable to resist the lure of this Divine Stone Vein."

This middle-aged man was the Wuji Celestial King, one of the four great Celestial Kings of the Cyan Emperor Sect. His cultivation had reached the Peak of Dharma Form, making him one of the most powerful figures on the Cangwu Continent below the Tribulation Realm.

Master Fuhu, his white robes purer than snow and his expression calm and tranquil, slowly replied, "Several days ago, I had a premonition. I faintly divined that something within that vein is related to my path of cultivation, so I came to have a look. Whether or not I can obtain it, I will leave to fate."

The Wuji Celestial King gave a dry chuckle, his expression noncommittal.

Master Fuhu then turned his head toward the small, starlit mountain and asked in a gentle voice, "Which benefactor from the Bamboo Immortal Sect have I the pleasure of addressing?"

Atop the small mountain, starlight coalesced into a tall, majestic figure. He greeted Master Fuhu, his voice booming:

"I, Cang, greet you, Master. I have long heard of your profound Divine Techniques, and your mastery of the six great Divine Techniques of the Buddhist Sect: the Celestial Eye Power, the Celestial Ear Power, Telepathy, Destiny Communication, Divine Realm Communication, and the Power of Ending Defilements... I wonder, has the Master seen the vein?"

Master Fuhu said, "Ah, so it is Vice Sect Master Cang. Yes, this humble monk has indeed seen the vein."

The Star Illusion’s expression shifted slightly as he asked with curiosity, "And what is the scale of this vein?"

Master Fuhu glanced at the two Dharma Realm cultivators before him, smiled faintly, and said, "It is a major vein, with over ten thousand Divine Stones."

As soon as he said this, the expressions of both the Wuji Celestial King and the Star Illusion changed. They exchanged a look.

A vein of this size, no matter how poor its quality, would contain no small number of Tier Five Treasures! Not to mention the Tier Three and Four Treasures, which would be enough to cultivate a large batch of new pillars for their sects in a short time.

’A small vein would be one thing, but a major vein of this magnitude...’

The Star Illusion mused, "I wonder what the Master’s plans are?"

Just as Master Fuhu was about to speak, a dark shadow drifted over from the distant sky.

The shadow arrived in an instant, revealing itself to be an enormous, pitch-black Bone Bird.

Standing on the Bone Bird’s back was a figure with an extraordinary presence—a young man dressed in a scholar’s robe.

He had a scholarly air about him, like a well-read intellectual, and held an ancient scroll. Behind him, six graceful Female Cultivators either sat or stood, all of them stunningly beautiful and each with a unique temperament.

"Heh, someone from the Ten Thousand Ghost Cave has arrived."

Aboard the cyan-and-gold Magical Boat, the Wuji Celestial King sneered.

The young scholar on the Bone Bird’s back cupped his hands and smiled. "Celestial King, Sect Leader Cang, Master Fuhu, what a coincidence. I didn’t expect to run into you all here."

Master Fuhu nodded in acknowledgment. "Linghu, it has been a while."

The Wuji Celestial King, however, demanded bluntly, "Linghu Peng, what are you doing here?"

The young scholar smiled calmly and said in a perfectly serious tone, "I have come here to discuss with you all how we might divide some of the Divine Stones from the Divine Image Sect. According to my information, the Divine Stone Vein they’ve discovered this time is quite large."

On the Bamboo Immortal Sect’s small mountain, the Star Illusion dissipated, and the true form of Vice Sect Leader Cangyun Su materialized on the peak. He asked in a clear voice, "Linghu Peng, what plan do you have in mind?"

The young scholar smiled. "Besides Zhuang Daojing, the Divine Image Sect has another mysterious Dharma Cultivator guarding the vein. If our three sects were to act alone, we wouldn’t gain the slightest advantage."

"But if our three sects join forces... and with Master Fuhu’s help, I believe we can persuade Zhuang Daojing to let everyone who’s here get a share of the Divine Stone Vein."

Cangyun Su remained noncommittal. He turned to Master Fuhu and continued, "I wonder what profound insights the Master has on this matter?"

Master Fuhu held up one hand, palm open. Buddha Light gathered in his palm, and a Taichu Divine Stone about ten feet in size appeared.

The Divine Stone floated in the air, its surface covered in cracks. A heart-pounding, ferocious aura seemed about to break through its restraints and erupt forth.

"A Fifth-rank Taichu Fierce Beast?"

The others recognized this type of Taichu Divine Stone as soon as they saw it.

The Wuji Celestial King’s gaze instantly became as sharp as a blade. He stared intently at Master Fuhu’s Taichu Divine Stone and said in a low voice, "Master, are you willing to sell this stone? My Cyan Emperor Sect is willing to exchange a great treasure for it."

This type of Taichu Divine Stone was an anomaly among anomalies. It did not contain a treasure but rather a Primordial Fierce Beast born from chaos itself.

These fierce beasts were born with exceptional gifts and tyrannical strength, possessing power comparable to a Tribulation Realm Great Power from birth.

The Cyan Emperor Sect had once cut a Primordial Fierce Beast from such a stone. After extensive refinement, it had long since become the sect’s guardian Sacred Beast, its power equivalent to a great power at the Tribulation Realm Third Layer Heaven.

But Master Fuhu shook his head and said slowly, "I have already half-opened this stone. It’s not that I don’t want to finish, but that I cannot. This Primordial Fierce Beast was not fully developed at birth. Once it is fully cut out, it will not survive for more than three days."

He paused, then continued, "I am willing to use this beast to tie down the Divine Image Sect. Within that vein, there is only one Divine Stone with which I have a fateful connection. As for the rest, I will take nothing. I wonder if you benefactors would allow me to have the first pick of that specific Divine Stone?"

Hearing this, the others all fell into thought.

After a moment, Linghu Peng of the Ten Thousand Ghost Cave spoke up. "Since the Master is willing to unleash this Primordial Fierce Beast, then this matter is ninety percent settled. The Master naturally deserves the primary credit, so having the first pick of a Divine Stone is only right. I have no objection."

Cangyun Su also said, "I have no objection either."

Only the Wuji Celestial King of the Cyan Emperor Sect seemed rather disappointed. He withdrew his gaze from the Taichu Divine Stone in Master Fuhu’s hand and finally said slowly, "This king agrees."
