Lin Xuance stood poised in mid-air, terrifying Sword Qi swirling around him. A tyrannical Sword Momentum erupted from his body, shooting past the clouds and exploding outward.

The next moment, Lin Xuance abruptly slashed forward. A pale blue Sword Qi tore through the sky, like a meteor from beyond the heavens streaking across the dark night. It shone with a brilliant radiance, descending upon Yue Zhentian with vast, overwhelming force!!

Hm?!

Hovering in mid-air, his tattered robes whipped about. His crimson eyes stared up at the heaven-piercing Sword Qi rushing toward him, and he felt a sharp sense of crisis, as if this one attack would spell his doom.

"Are you kidding me?!"

’How could I possibly die?!’ Yue Zhentian laughed from sheer fury and roared in his heart. His crimson eyes flashed with a bloody light. With a wave of his hand, a light flared, and a longspear appeared. It was wreathed in a hazy Blood Evil Qi, carved with profound runes, and its tip radiated a cold glint.

In the next instant, an incredibly tyrannical Blood Evil True Essence erupted from Yue Zhentian’s body, causing the surrounding space to shake violently as if it had been struck by a monstrous torrent.

A crimson glint then flashed in Yue Zhentian’s eyes, making him resemble a man-eating beast and inspiring primal fear. He spun the longspear in his hand, building a terrifying Divine Power, and then violently thrust it upward!

The spear moves like a roaming dragon, a master among ten thousand weapons, capable of sweeping through armies for thousands of miles. First Spear—Blood Dragon Heaven-Breaking!

A terrifyingly huge phantom spear radiating Blood Evil Qi abruptly rose into the air. It resembled a Blood Evil True Dragon, one capable of Devouring Heaven and Earth, surging upward against the tide to pierce the heavens. With an unstoppable, courageous Momentum, it blasted toward the descending, sharp Sword Qi!!

BOOM!!

In the next instant, the massive phantom spear, like a Blood Evil True Dragon, slammed into the sharp Sword Qi that fell from beyond the heavens. A world-shaking explosion erupted. The surrounding space shattered into large fragments like a mirror, vaguely revealing the endless astral winds within the abyssal cracks of the dark void!

The entire world at this moment seemed like a boundless, raging tsunami, churning and roiling violently. A terrifying shockwave blasted out in all directions. Below, the mountain peaks, as sharp as blades, instantly crumbled. Huge boulders rained down, smashing into the earth and kicking up clouds of dust!

WHOOSH!

Seeing that one strike was not enough to deal with Lin Xuance, Yue Zhentian immediately tore through the sky, his body like a bolt of crimson lightning. He spun the longspear single-handedly, its force creating a series of piercing whines, then suddenly appeared above Lin Xuance’s head. He immediately brandished the longspear and brought it smashing down!!

Churning the clouds and raising the mists to hide its killing intent; so bold as to command the sun and moon to usher in a new day. Second Spear—Taiji Over Heaven!

A heavy phantom spear, like nine stacked mountains, crushed through layers of space. With vast, unstoppable Momentum, it sundered all in its path as it chopped down toward Lin Xuance from the highest heavens!

When Lin Xuance saw the massive, heavy phantom spear, like Mount Tai itself, chopping down at him from the sky, he reacted in an instant. The blue-glowing Longsword in his hand flicked upward at an exceptionally clever angle, tearing through space as his chilling Sword Qi filled the air.

CLANG! Lin Xuance’s sharp sword slammed into the tip of Yue Zhentian’s spear, creating a deafening shriek of metal on metal. The surrounding space began to shake violently, and a fierce gale erupted from the point of impact, sweeping out in all directions!

"Hahaha, exhilarating! How exhilarating!"

Seeing how powerful Yue Zhentian was, Lin Xuance couldn’t help but let out a hearty laugh. The battle lust in his eyes was so thick it was almost tangible, and the force behind his Longsword grew stronger still!

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

In the next instant, the two flickered and collided across the night sky like streaks of light, producing a continuous, clear ring of clashing metal. The thick clouds that had blotted out the night were ripped open, leaving massive holes through which moonlight poured, striking the earth below. From a distance, it looked as if the sky itself had shattered.

...

Meanwhile, within Guangping City’s Yue Family Mansion, a heavy mist swirled about. It gave off the faint scent of Incense, creating a bizarre, unpredictable, and unsettling atmosphere.

Having broken through the Illusion Array, Wang Zhen’an opened his hawk-like eyes once more. The endless darkness was gone; what met his gaze was a thick, pervading mist.

’Just as I thought!’

Wang Zhen’an thought to himself. His eyes then swept over his surroundings. He saw the man with the goatee and the other Wang Family members standing rooted to the spot, their eyes vacant. They had obviously fallen into an illusion.

’What should I do?’ A hint of anxiety appeared in Wang Zhen’an’s heart.

’If this is an Array, there must be an array core.’ With this thought, Wang Zhen’an’s Spiritual Sense spread out to cover his surroundings. He wanted to find the core of the misty Illusion Array, so he meticulously explored every single corner, bit by bit.

After a long time, however...

’How can this be possible!!’

’Nothing... there’s still nothing!’ Wang Zhen’an’s pupils constricted as he exclaimed in his heart. He had searched every inch of the Yue Mansion, yet not a single place was the Array’s core.

’It seems the person who set up this Array is extraordinarily skilled.’ Wang Zhen’an’s expression was now quite solemn.

Looking at the dull, vacant eyes and foolish smiles of the goateed elder and the other members of the Wang Family, it was obvious they were caught in an extremely deep illusion. If this continued, they would undoubtedly be lost in it forever, never to open their eyes again.

Because of this, Wang Zhen’an’s brows furrowed tightly, and he couldn’t help but feel a pang of anxiety.

’Hm?! What’s that...’ In the Yue Family’s ancestral hall, he saw a statue of the Holy Mother Guanyin enshrined. She sat on a lotus pedestal with her palms pressed together. Her face held a smile that was not quite a smile, and her unmoving eyes of stone and wood looked disturbingly alive, making the entire thing seem exceptionally eerie!
