"In that case, I will request your assistance immediately," Yan Hara said. "You want the Nine Heavens and the Demonic Realm to coexist, but that is easier said than done."

Yan Hara then said, "I’m not so sure people will learn to trust demons with time. Do you remember when someone asked you during the banquet if demons were contagious? There will be many more people with the same concern. Unless we can prove with certainty that it is safe to be around demons, I doubt anything will change."
"What do you think?" Yuan turned to look at Selena. "You’re more knowledgeable than me in this aspect."
Selena pondered for a moment before answering, "Since the mutation was created for the humans of my world, and the humans of this world are fundamentally different, it is highly unlikely that we would affect you simply by being nearby. However, if the humans of this world were to come into contact with our blood... or somehow merge with it... I cannot say what the results would be without experimenting."
Before Yuan could respond, Selena continued, "I know you probably don’t want us to experiment on your people, so—"
"I have an idea," Yuan suddenly interrupted. "You need humans for your experiments, right?"
"Yes...?" Selena nodded, wondering where Yuan was going.
A smile tugged at Yuan’s lips as he continued, "We happen to have humans who would be more than willing to participate in your experiments if we tell them there’s a chance they could become demons."
"Y-You don’t mean..." Yan Hara’s eyes and mouth widened when she realized what Yuan was thinking.
"That’s right. I mean the Demon Worshippers. This way, they will finally serve some purpose and contribute to our world for once in their lives."
"Of course, I am not saying we should force them to partake in these experiments. However, I have a feeling they wouldn’t say no."
"I will keep this in mind when we capture them..." Yan Hara nodded in a dazed manner.
"Anyway, here are a few things to help you with your new responsibilities." Yuan retrieved a spatial ring and tossed it at Yan Hara.
After catching it, she immediately peeked inside.
"T-This is...!" Yan Hara’s eyes widened with bewilderment after seeing what was inside.
"The rest of my techniques. Although it won’t be as useful anymore, I figured that you should still have them, especially when you’re my successor."
"Thank you! I will treasure them!"
Yan Hara and Yuan continued talking about the future of the Nine Heavens and the Demonic Realm until someone knocked on the door and announced they had guests.
"Leader Yan! Heaven’s Mandate is here, and they wish to request an audience with Absolute Ruler Selena!"
"Heaven’s Mandate? What’s that?" Selena asked with a raised eyebrow.
"They’re the servants of the Celestial Emperor, who is the ruler of the Nine Heavens. You met them before," Yan Hara explained.
"Ah, those foolish ones? What do they want from me?"
"Hard to say without meeting them..."
"They’re probably here because the Celestial Emperor wants to speak with her," Yuan suddenly said.
"You sound confident. What makes you think so?" Yan Hara asked with a curious face.
"If you were a ruler of an entire world, what would you do if a ruler of another world suddenly visits yours?" Yuan responded with a question. "If it were me, I’d probably want to meet them and set some ground rules."
"Set ground rules...? That only applies if the two of them are on equal standing..." Yan Hara looked at Selena and recalled her terrifying prowess, thinking to herself that even the Celestial Emperor would not be able to make her bow.
However, if Selena offended the Celestial Emperor, it would definitely make coexisting with the Nine Heavens much more difficult.
"Let’s see what they have to say," Selena said.
Yan Hara nodded before leaving to welcome Heaven’s Mandate.
Some time later, Yan Hara returned to the room with a small group.
"We greet the Absolute Ruler of the Demonic Realm. We are Heaven’s Mandate, servants of the Celestial Emperor, ruler of the Nine Heavens."
The group hastily knelt on the ground and greeted Selena with lowered heads.
Under normal circumstances, Heaven’s Mandate would never bow to anyone but the Celestial Emperor, even under threat. However, this was a special situation, and the Celestial Emperor himself had ordered them to treat her as they would him.
"What is your purpose for seeking an audience with me?" Selena responded.
"Our Master, the Celestial Emperor, has invited you to the Celestial Palace for a private conversation."
Selena smiled slightly and said, "Normally, I wouldn’t accept such a half-assed invitation, but since I am a guest here, I’ll tolerate it once. As for my response to the Celestial Emperor’s invitation..."
Selena’s eyes glanced at Yuan.
"Go ahead," he said to her via voice transmission. "You’ll have to meet with him sooner or later, anyway."
