Chapter 848 – Gorgeous flame and coming back

The last corridor was in front of her. Moon Aiko was curious what would be in this one.

This corridor was much more decorated and also very long. Moon Aiko's curiosity peaked.

And she was immediately disappointed.

Moon Aiko clicked her tongue, she would tear this room apart, but first she would inspect everything, just in case something had actual value.

And to her shock, or possibly not, everything was valuable.

The bed? A priceless Treasure. The paintings? Also, priceless Treasures that were even moving! What about the fur carpets and normal carpets? Most of them were from extinct materials (Beasts)!

'I'm upset I can't actually take them.' Moon Aiko clicked her tongue. All of these had the 'modifier' [Soul Bound], meaning that if she took them, the person who they were bound to would know her location at all times.

Could her tails prevent that? Yes, but Moon Aiko wouldn't be able to use them then, so it would be bad to take them.

The Demonic Foxes? Moon Aiko didn't verify if he couldn't come over into the 'space' that her tails created, so she didn't want to risk anything.

As for her system, it was silent. She might not be able to talk about this issue, but this simply reinforced her prediction further.

Why did it fizzle out at first? This place was probably protected by more Inscriptions and Arrays, making it difficult to destroy. That's also why Moon Aiko picked the fur pelt that would burn the brightest even with little flame.

Just a cinder was enough to light it ablaze, making for spectacular fire.

"Kekekeke." Moon Aiko laughed sinisterly. "Dumbass doesn't understand he needs to fireproof it even when something catches fire." This situation could be prevented if the person who created it would add another Inscription to extinguish already started fires on the 'art', but that was not the case.

"I would love to have your confidence or arrogance?" Xinyue thought about it for a while before giving up. It was pointless to even think about it, considering how many miraculous things have happened so far.

"I think we can leave?" Moon Aiko tilted her head.

"You think? If I were the guy I would try to stop us at all cost." Xinyue rolled her eyes. It was unbelievable that they were still fine, considering what Aiko had done already.

"Oh, shush. It's not like I twisted his balls, he will recover." Moon Aiko shrugged. It was a harsh truth, but she didn't really harm him directly.

If he wanted to keep things safe, he should've prevented others from approaching this place.

What she didn't know was the fact that this place was actually unapproachable.

Then why and how was Aiko able to get here? Well, it all started with the [Soul Domain].

That thing consumed all the energy this place used to maintain itself. Thus, this place suddenly lost a lot of its defences and traps, but if that were it, it would still be hidden.

What nailed the final nail into the coffin were those dead walking herbs. Those things were maintaining the concealment of this place by their numbers, but since they died, nobody was concealing this place any more, revealing it to others to exploit.

"Nonono, he won't be able to recover." Xinyue knew about the rewards of this place, but if she uttered them it was possible that she would die, so she could only hint at it.

"Ah, you want to go back? Sure." However, Moon Aiko completely misinterpreted her gestures and before Xinyue could correct it, she was back inside the tails.

"Well shit..." Xinyue cursed out loud. She didn't want Aiko to get injured, but she also couldn't stop her.

How could she stop her when she was so innocently wrecking everything? Would she even understand her words?

Meanwhile, Moon Aiko was warming up for a while. That cold heart actually did a number on her, even when it was in a 'sealed' state.

Fortunately, this fire came in handy and Aiko was now ready to leave.

"Well, I will actually miss this place." Moon Aiko uttered as a silent tear trickled down her cheek.

It was only natural. On the other hand, there was a lot of work to do. From seeing the flying ship, to talking with the whole team, and let's not forget the Nightmare Owls which might already be causing a mess over there.

"Well, that's for later." Moon Aiko nodded seriously as she used [Jaws of ####].

She felt energy leaving her body and a lot of it at that.

"Gosh, I hope I won't end up injured like last time." Moon Aiko was concerned, but this time she set up her return point near to where Mei was located, so everything should turn all right...

Moon Aiko felt like sleepiness was overtaking her, so she slowly curled up into her tails and drifted to her dreams...

"I think Aiko will be returning soon." Mei paused and suddenly voiced her thoughts.

"What a coincidence, I suddenly feel the same." Danji smiled at her.

"Tsk." Mei clicked her tongue.

How did they know that Aiko was returning? Her Soul was strengthened a lot and her entire being was even more 'clear' even over the large distance.

That meant that she finished her business, whenever she was, and would soon be returning.

"I understand your enthusiasm, but what if she can't return?" Dai Lu had to voice out that opinion, since she was acting as Mei's right-hand.

"Is that even possible? Keep in mind she escaped from the Sacred Realm, somehow." Mei gestured seriously, since that one was a big deal.

"That might be true, but you also have to keep in mind that 'that' place might be part of the person who messed up this place." Dai Lu wanted them to be more cautious, to prevent anything unnecessary from happening.

"That's fair." Mei nodded her head, but she was still unconcerned.

"It's Aiko we are talking about." Yuxi suddenly chimed in. She was so natural that it made everyone speechless.

"My apologies for disturbing you. We have found a certain bundle of problems on our premises." A cute Fox came announcing the arrival of a certain Fox.

"That's sooner than expected." Mei raised her eyebrow. Was it possible that Aiko just half-assed it? That's unlikely. Knowing her, Aiko would try to clean the whole place up.

The cute Fox bowed before leaving.

Mei already knew where Aiko was located due to their connection, so there was no need for a guide.

Of course, she would reward this Fox for giving this information. Rewards and punishments needed to be clearly stated for others not to feel anxious and Mei knew it all too well.

"Let's go?" Mei smiled and others also nodded. The whole group gathered, walking over to where Aiko was located.
