Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox
Chapter 870 – Warehouse
"Well, it's not like Foxes are all-powerful. Dragons and other Beasts have an edge over everyone else due to their ridiculous Bloodlines or other inherent benefits." The girl pursed her lips.
"Well, we will just stick them into our pockets later." Witch Aiko chuckled sinisterly.
"... I'm looking forward to that." The girl made quite a long pause before answering.
"That hurts, you know?" Witch Aiko snorted unhappily.
"Whatever could you mean, Master." The girl played completely innocent, as if she did nothing wrong.
Witch Aiko rolled her eyes. "I understand you don't believe me, but I will make it work." She wouldn't give up until she bullied anyone who would slight her.
"... I suppose I'm too old-fashioned. During my time even 'you' would never have happened." The girl chuckled with some remorse. "No chaos, nothing out of the ordinary. Sure, there were a few dicks walking with their third leg as guidance, but those were rare enough that you could ignore them. Their sweet nothing also works only on the most naive or idiotic misses."
"Right, right." Witch Aiko nodded her head repeatedly. "They should burn in hell."
'Aren't you one of them?' The girl pursed her lips, stifling a laugh. This situation was already ridiculous enough, but this little Foxy being completely oblivious about it was even more hilarious.
"What?" Witch Aiko felt like she was being made fun of, so she wanted to defend herself.
"Nothing~" The girl hummed. She felt light.
'Seems like I could contract her right now, but let's wait.' Witch Aiko smiled gently.
"Is there something on my face?" The girl tilted her head.
"Yeah, my lips on yours." Witch Aiko joked.
"Gosh." The girl slapped Aiko's shoulder gently. "You are worse than Heaven's Chosen."
"You can't know that, we have not made out yet." Witch Aiko puffed up her cheeks.
"This, exactly this." The girl clicked her tongue.
Witch Aiko simply shrugged. She was like this, always, but it was nice that she could joke like this here and there.
"I think the guest should've retreated for a bit, so we can visit the warehouse now." The girl smiled faintly. That guest would return later once she sniffed out Aiko, but for now it would be safe.
"Are you sure?" Witch Aiko narrowed her eyes. She was not keen on being captured again, but the wolf girl didn't seem too bad.
'No, wait a minute. That Beast looked like she had the pseudo-human form that only Foxes are supposed to have?' Witch Aiko was confused. She didn't realise it sooner since she was chased around and panicked, but she was suddenly very interested in that girl.
"You have my word, Master." The girl giggled.
"Why do I feel like you are getting back at me for what I did." Witch Aiko's lips tightened.
"You are imagining things." The girl giggled again, but this time even more mischievously.
...
Witch Aiko followed her cautiously. She was careful about her surroundings just in case.
"You don't believe me? I'm hurt." The girl proclaimed while guiding her around.
"We are not too familiar yet." Witch Aiko made up some excuse, but this would happen even if she was already part of her team.
'There was nobody that could deal damage to her, she is kind of scary...' Witch Aiko was apprehensive, but also curious, so she would let it take its course after she got her rewards.
The warehouse was large, looking at it again it was like some kind of hillside instead of a normal building. The air inside was cool, and the floor was very icy.
It kind of felt like some kind of cooling chamber, but considering that there was no food inside-

'No, it was probably eaten.' Witch Aiko was convinced that all food was already gone thanks to the wolf girl.
"You can take anything. The more you take, the less I will have to destroy later." The girl proclaimed. She had some attachment to these things, but it was better to destroy it than letting it be used by others.
"Why not just take everything?" Witch Aiko tilted her head.
"That's impossible. Anyway, I will show you around." The girl smiled gently. It seemed like she was unaware about the fact that Aiko could stash... a lot of things.
"Let's start with the armoury, maybe there will be something nice you can use later." The girl dragged Aiko by her hand, showing her around the armoury, but it was closer to the clothing shop that Aiko saw inside that [Soul Domain].
"These are nice. They are made out of Silver Cicadas. They are translucent robes, but their protective functions are guaranteed." The girl moved through the clothes, throwing the damaged or those that wouldn't fit to the sides.
"You don't have to go through everything." Witch Aiko would just stash everything into her tails, so that the girl in front of her could deal with it later or maybe sell it.
"It's fine. Unless you are in a hurry?" The girl tilted her head.
"I'm not yet in a hurry, no." It seemed like the girl was enjoying herself, so Witch Aiko gave up on stopping her.
It was great that she seemed more energetic, meaning she was recovering well. The Contract would be sealed later, and it should pass without hiccups, which she was very happy about.
"Do you practise archery often?" Witch Aiko suddenly asked as the girl was going through some more revealing clothes. Of course, she threw most of them into one pile for burning intentions.
"Not so much now. I did it more often before, but as I grew more tired and weaker over time, I sort of slowly gave up on it." The girl tested the texture before throwing it away for being of low quality.
"These are Human Body Stage clothes, so you can use them when you get to that point." The girl smiled, changing the topic as she didn't want to talk about it too much.
"You have a lot of clothes." Witch Aiko never saw so many in her life.
"When you live long, the fashion changes a lot, so to keep up I bothered my father until he gave me the permission and even then they were concerned about me." The girl smiled wryly. She was always upset when that happened, but now those things were fond memories for her.
"That is fair." Witch Aiko nodded her head. Fashion changed a lot and the more the time passed, the more obvious it would become.
However, most Human Cultivators wore simple white clothes with simple ornaments, while more elaborate clothes were worn by lotus bitc-
*Cough*
"Is something that matters?" The girl bobbed her head to the side.
"Nothing." Witch Aiko coughed because she imagined choking a few of those 'pure' bitches.
"Where is your sister, by the way?" Witch Aiko glanced around, but she couldn't spot her anywhere.
"She is probably with that 'guest'." The girl smacked her lips, before abandoning another row of clothes and moving to more fancier versions.
"There is no risk of anything happening, right?" Witch Aiko went on guard, her ears twitching here and there.
"... You probably don't want to wear something already used, right?" The girl knew that Foxes were... peculiar about their clothes, so it was possible that she was bothering Aiko.
"We can always recycle it." Witch Aiko shrugged.
"As if that is possible." The girl giggled, but seeing the serious Aiko. "Seriously?" She already knew that 'that' art was already abandoned, so she didn't expect Aiko to be able to do even more.
"In that case I won't be burning anything. Let's scrap most of the things and make out of it something much prettier." The girl was obviously overjoyed.
"Wait, that's a lot of work..." Witch Aiko's lips twitched. She suddenly remembered the warehouse full of Treasures. "Well, shit..."
"It's fine, you can teach others and they can help you." The girl didn't know what one needed to do to re-use these things, but she believed Aiko hundred percent!
"Let's go to another part." The girl dragged Aiko to the weapons section.
"The weapons can be sorted into two categories. Innate Weapons that can only be used by one person and General Weapons that can be used by all, as long as they have the necessary element for it." The girl explained and while this part was a lot more... humble, there were still quite a few nice pieces.
"Oh, and if you see something nice, the chances it's an Innate Weapon are very high, so don't get your hopes up." The girl warned Aiko since she didn't want to make her sad if she found something nice, but couldn't actually use it.
"Damn..." Witch Aiko clicked her tongue. "Can we-"
"En, we can. The Innate Weapons no longer have masters. I only kept them around since they were pretty, and I didn't want to risk enriching others." The girl had nothing against scrapping everything and using it to get better equipment.
"You are... a lot more open-minded about this than I expected." Witch Aiko was a bit speechless.
"... These Treasures do hold a lot of memories for me..." The girl caressed the weapons affectionately. "But it's time to let go of my sad past. While it will take a while for me to get over it, I think this is the best first step that I can make." She smiled wryly at Aiko.
Witch Aiko simply nodded her head. She didn't have any mementos or anything like that, so she couldn't share those feelings with her. She would just follow her lead when it came to her things.
"I don't want to dwell too much on my past." The girl smiled faintly. "I do want to fuck up that fucker myself, but I can't do it alone. It's impossible, his backing is too powerful, and I would be just like kicking a metal plate..."
"We can make it happen, it will just take time." Witch Aiko didn't think that was worth mentioning. It was obvious that they would fuck up that bastard as much as possible later, but it would take time.
"It honestly still sounds too crazy to me." The girl chuckled.
"You will get used to it." Witch Aiko shrugged.
"That's honestly the scary part." The girl sighed.
"Why?" Witch Aiko titled her head.
"Do you really not know...?" The girl laughed foolishly. While Aiko was very cute, her tendencies were so abnormal that even the girl was sometimes questioning her sanity.
"I don't. I don't find the things I do all that crazy." Witch Aiko thought about it, but she didn't really care about it. Sure, some things were abnormal, maybe even slightly crazy, but full-blown crazy? No.
