Cultivation System: Rise of the First Patriarch
Chapter 89 When the Unseen Emperor Appeared
Old Fu continued wondering what he would do after finally meeting the Unseen Emperor. Would he pledge his loyalty immediately, or would he first observe the legendary existence for himself?
Although Qiu Wuyin's story and the evidence he had presented were convincing, Old Fu still wanted to meet the Unseen Emperor personally. He wanted to see that unfathomable strength with his own eyes and confirm that the person Qiu Wuyin spoke of truly existed.
“Once I meet him, I'll decide whether to pledge my loyalty.”
Just as Old Fu was lost in thought, a deafening explosion suddenly erupted from the nearby training ground.
BOOM!
Old Fu was startled and immediately turned toward the source of the disturbance. His expression changed when he saw four Nascent Soul cultivators standing several dozen meters apart, their spiritual energy surging as they prepared to fight.
“You call that a disciple?” one of them shouted angrily. “Mine could defeat yours with one hand!”
“Your disciple?” another cultivator sneered. “He was beaten so badly that he couldn't even stand! Don't embarrass yourself!”
The insults continued as the four Nascent Soul cultivators glared at one another. Their disciples had already been beaten badly during the sparring matches, and instead of admitting defeat, the four masters had begun arguing over whose disciple was stronger.
The situation had quickly escalated from a friendly spar into a confrontation between the masters themselves.
Nearby, several disciples who had participated earlier were either nursing their injuries or standing silently to the side. The Nascent Soul cultivators who had chosen not to participate simply watched the chaos unfold, while some of those who had surrendered their matches early were quietly relieved that they had avoided getting injured.
Old Fu stared at the four cultivators preparing to fight and sighed.
“So much for a friendly spar.”
He stepped forward slightly, preparing himself to intervene if necessary.
After all, Qiu Wuyin had specifically ask him to watch these people.
And if they destroyed the surrounding area or worse, injured the mortals nearby, Old Fu would have to stop them before the Unseen Emperor arrived.
When Old Fu stepped forward to stop the fight, the four Nascent Soul cultivators barely acknowledged him. They continued glaring at each other, completely ignoring his presence.
Old Fu's expression darkened.
“Stop this childish fight!” he shouted, his voice carrying across the entire area. “You're all over a hundred years old, yet you're fighting like spoiled brats! Have some shame! Look at your disciples—they behave better than you!”
The four Nascent Soul cultivators immediately turned toward him.
Their expressions became ugly.
Being called spoiled brats and childish had clearly struck a nerve.
One of them glared at Old Fu. “Old Fu, are you challenging us to a fight?”
Old Fu raised an eyebrow. “What if I am?”
“Do you really think you can handle all four of us?”
“Handle the four of you?” Old Fu scoffed. “Hah. I can handle all of you even if you drag your ancestors here!”
The four Nascent Soul cultivators exchanged glances.
A moment later, one of them grinned coldly. “Forget our previous fight. Let's beat this old fossil first.”
The others immediately nodded.
“I've wanted to beat him for a long time because of that attitude of his.”
“Then what are we waiting for?”
Their spiritual energy erupted simultaneously.
The disciples and the other Nascent Soul cultivators watching from the side immediately backed away, realizing that the situation had somehow become even more chaotic.
Old Fu stood alone before the four cultivators, his expression gradually becoming cold.
“Since you want to fight...” he muttered, cracking his knuckles, “then don't blame me for teaching you four a lesson.”
Just are the four are preparing to attack.
Old Fu moved first.
His figure vanished from where he stood, and in the next instant, his fist slammed into the chest of one of the Nascent Soul cultivators with overwhelming force.
BOOM!
The cultivator was sent flying like a broken kite, crashing through several trees before finally coming to a stop.
The remaining three Nascent Soul cultivators stared in shock.
“What—?”
Before they could react, Old Fu had already appeared in front of another opponent.
His fist descended with terrifying force, but the Nascent Soul cultivator managed to raise his sword and block the attack.
CLANG!
The cultivator's expression changed instantly.
“What?! His attack is so heavy!”
The force behind Old Fu's punch traveled through the sword and into his arms, causing his body to tremble. Before he could stabilize himself, Old Fu's other fist struck him directly in the stomach.
BOOM!
The cultivator's eyes widened as blood filled his mouth.
“Ugh!”
His body was sent flying backward and slammed heavily into a large tree.
CRACK!
The tree shook violently from the impact.
The disciple of the injured cultivator stared in horror at his master.
“Master!”
The other two Nascent Soul cultivators finally recovered from their shock, their expressions turning furious.
“You thug!”
“Don't think you can bully us just because you're strong!”
The two cultivators simultaneously unleashed their spiritual energy and activated their techniques.
One summoned a massive wave of spiritual energy that swept toward Old Fu, while the other unleashed a powerful offensive technique that tore through the surrounding air.
Old Fu's expression became serious as he faced the two attacks head-on.
“Come!”
The three forces collided at almost the same time.
BOOOOOOM!
A tremendous explosion erupted across the area, sending a violent shockwave in every direction.
The ground cracked beneath their feet, trees were uprooted, and snow was blasted into the air.
One of the Nascent Soul cultivators who had remained on the sidelines immediately raised his hand and formed a defensive barrier around himself and the others.
“Are those idiots trying to destroy the entire area?!” he shouted angrily.
The surrounding disciples hurriedly retreated behind the defensive barrier, their faces pale as they watched the battle unfold.
None of them expected a simple sparring match to escalate into a full battle between five Nascent Soul cultivators.
Just as the battle continued to escalate, a cold voice suddenly echoed across the entire area.
“Enough.”
The single word carried an overwhelming authority that silenced everyone present.
Old Fu immediately stopped and retreated from the battle, his expression changing as he searching the source of the voice. Meanwhile, the two Nascent Soul cultivators who were still hovering in the air looked around angrily.
“Who dares to disrupt our fight?!” one of them shouted.
“Come out before we destroy you!”
The moment their voice fell, a terrifying pressure descended from above.
BOOM!
The two Nascent Soul cultivators were instantly forced out of the air and slammed into the ground. Their bodies were pressed firmly against the earth, their faces filled with horror as they struggled to even move.
The remaining Nascent Soul cultivators and their disciples suffered the same fate. The overwhelming pressure forced them to their knees, their bodies trembling beneath an invisible force.
Even Old Fu was forced down onto one knee.
His eyes widened in shock.
"This pressure..."
He couldn't even lift his head properly.
"Is this the Unseen Emperor?"
Before anyone could say another word, the space in front of them suddenly began to distort.
A spatial crack slowly appeared in the air.
Everyone stared at it in disbelief.
“What is that”
“Is that a spatial rift?”
Even Old Fu was stunned. He had only heard about this phenomenon, but seeing one appear directly before his eyes was an entirely different matter.
The spatial crack widened, and a black-robed figure slowly stepped out.
His black hair flowed behind him, while his face remained distorted and blurry, making his true appearance impossible to see.
A second figure stepped out behind him.
It was Qiu Wuyin.
Unlike everyone else, Qiu Wuyin wore a smug expression as he glanced at the kneeling cultivators.
Zan Yunxiao calmly walked forward.
His gaze fell upon the two Nascent Soul cultivators lying on the ground. Without saying anything, he increased the pressure surrounding them.
BOOM!
Their bodies were driven even deeper into the earth.
Zan Yunxiao stopped in front of them and looked down coldly.
“What did the two of you say?”
The two Nascent Soul cultivators trembled violently.
Their faces were filled with terror, but neither dared to answer.
It wasn't that they didn't want to speak.
They simply couldn't.
The overwhelming pressure and fear had completely seized their minds.
The other Nascent Soul cultivators and their disciples stared at the black-robed figure who had emerged from the spatial rift. Their expression was shock and uncertainty.
“Is that... the Unseen Emperor?” one of the Nascent Soul cultivators whispered.
Another cultivator stared carefully at Zan Yunxiao's distorted face before swallowing nervously. “It must be. Look at his appearance. His face is completely blurry. We can't even see his true features.”
“The records described him exactly like this...”
Another Nascent Soul cultivator's expression became solemn. “So it's real.”
The disciples standing behind their masters looked at one another in fear.
They had heard their masters questioning Qiu Wuyin's story earlier, yet the scene before them had already answered every doubt.
