Chapter 150: Chapter 93: The Flood Dragon’s Rain, the Celestial Waterfall’s Marvel

High in the heavens, upon witnessing Xuzhuang’s mountain-uprooting Divine Technique, Daoist Zhang’s hand trembled, and he tore out a strand of his long beard. Zeng Quanfeng stared, his mouth agape, while the disciples aboard the Cloud Boat were utterly dumbfounded!

Xuzhuang, however, remained completely impassive. He single-mindedly channeled his Magical Power to lift Lianyun Mountain into mid-air and stabilize it. Then, he formed a new hand seal to switch to the Five Elements Escape Skill, refining it for a full quarter of an hour before finally pointing a finger.

In mid-air, Lianyun Mountain seemed to invert for a moment before vanishing to some unknown location. The Innate Tai Su Qi Grand Capture retracted with it, transforming into a billowing stream of white energy that flew back into the heavens and entered Xuzhuang through the crown of his head.

Only then did Xuzhuang softly exhale, his expression still unchanged. It was as if this mountain-moving Divine Technique was an effortless feat for him.

Daoist Zhang said dazedly, "Your Divine Techniques are truly awe-inspiring, Martial Uncle."

Xuzhuang gave a faint nod. His gaze shifted downward, where he saw that the members of the Moyun Sect had regrouped, only to turn around. It appeared they were preparing to beat a hasty retreat.

’It seems the Moyun Sect isn’t as confident as they seem,’ Xuzhuang thought as a glint flashed in his eyes. ’All the better. It saves me the trouble of wasting my breath.’

Following Xuzhuang’s gaze, Zeng Quanfeng finally snapped back to reality. He looked over and saw the members of the Moyun Sect fleeing in panic. Overjoyed, he exclaimed, "Martial Uncle, your divine might has scared the wits out of those Moyun scoundrels! If we give chase now, we can surely capture that brat Taishi with ease."

Daoist Zhang said disapprovingly, "Junior Brother! Martial Uncle’s actions were meant only to intimidate the Moyun Sect. It would be unreasonable for us to be the ones to provoke a war."

Zeng Quanfeng pursed his lips. "Of course I know that. I was just speaking freely."

Daoist Zhang didn’t bother to reply to him, instead bowing to Xuzhuang. "We were able to avert this crisis entirely thanks to your Divine Techniques, Martial Uncle. Please accept my gratitude."

Xuzhuang raised an eyebrow and waved his hand. "Nephew Zhang, you’re being too formal. This is a matter of our shared duty. Besides, we’ve only temporarily intimidated the Moyun Sect. We must remain on guard in the days to come."

"Of course," Daoist Zhang said. "I understand."

Xuzhuang nodded. "Very well. Before we head back, there is one more thing I need you two nephews to help with."

Zeng Quanfeng jumped in. "Please tell us, Martial Uncle."

Xuzhuang said, "I have only temporarily sequestered Lianyun Mountain; I still need to find a good location to set it down. However, I am not very familiar with Yunlan, so I will need you nephews to make the decision."

The reason Xuzhuang was able to sequester Lianyun Mountain was that he had cultivated the Five Elements Escape Skill to a profound level. He could harness the infinite transformations of the five elements, hiding something as vast as a mountain within a tiny space. This technique already faintly transcended the category of the Five Elements Escape Skill, touching upon the realm of the Five Elements Great Escape.

According to legend, great cultivators who practiced the Five Elements Great Escape could transform the very substance of the five elements, hide the universe within a grain of sand, transcend the five elements, and escape the bonds of the material plane to evade calamities...

However, with Xuzhuang’s current level of cultivation and the limitations of his Five Elements Escape Skill, it was far too early to speak of mastering the Five Elements Great Escape. In fact, after he sequestered Lianyun Mountain, his Magical Power had begun to drain at a rapid rate.

Xuzhuang made a quick mental calculation. Even with his current reserves of Magical Power, he couldn’t sustain the drain for more than a day or two.

’And this is just for hiding a mountain in a small space,’ Xuzhuang thought. ’It’s impossible to imagine what kind of great powers those Zhenren and True Monarchs must possess to be able to establish a Grotto Heaven, hide heaven and earth in a grain of sand, or conceal the universe within a speck of dust in the void.’

Hearing Xuzhuang’s words, both Daoist Zhang and Zeng Quanfeng fell into thought. After a long moment, Daoist Zhang spoke up. "The plains of the province are heavily populated by mortals, and the terrestrial qi there isn’t particularly strong."

"However, the area near our sect is sparsely populated and has enough space to accommodate Lianyun Mountain." ’Of course,’ he thought, ’it would also be convenient for the sect to guard the Stone Pool and plant a Spirit Vein there.’

Xuzhuang nodded slightly. "In that case, we shall do as Nephew Zhang suggests."

Daoist Zhang said, "Many of our disciples are still here. Why don’t we return to the sect together on the Cloud Boat?"

"Excellent," Xuzhuang said.

And so, the three of them boarded the Cloud Boat. It was inevitable that they would be greeted formally by all the disciples. Afterward, the vessel set sail, returning to True Form Temple.

「Canglan Province. Moyun Sect.」

Taishi Zhe’s steps were hurried. He paid no mind to the saluting Daoist Children or the guards who tried to stop him, barging straight into the grand hall. His gaze swept across the room and found a square-faced Daoist holding a duster in conversation with a horse-faced Daoist.

Upon seeing the Fangmian Taoist, Taishi Zhe no longer dared to be so impudent. He cupped his fists in salute and said, "Sect Leader."

Just then, another man walked slowly into the hall behind him. The Fangmian Taoist looked surprised to see them enter. "Junior Brother Taishi, Junior Brother Quan, why have you returned to the sect? Have you taken Lianyun Mountain?"

Taishi Zhe’s face fell. "We have not," he answered.

The Fangmian Taoist’s expression didn’t change. "Who from the True Form Temple intervened? You couldn’t take it, even with Junior Brother Quan there? What of our casualties—our disciples and Dao Soldiers?"

Junior Brother Quan let out a dry, cold laugh. His tone was unreadable as he said, "We didn’t lose a single man."

"Hmm?" The Fangmian Taoist finally sensed that something was wrong. He furrowed his brow. "What exactly happened? Junior Brother Taishi, don’t tell me you retreated without a fight."

His face grim, Taishi Zhe replied, "That’s correct. I was the one who ordered the retreat."

He didn’t beat around the bush. With a grim expression, he recounted how Lianyun Mountain had been violently uprooted and spirited away. Finally, he asked, "Sect Leader, are you certain that Meng Fusheng of the True Form Temple is really missing?"

The Fangmian Taoist grew more and more shocked as he listened, though a sliver of doubt remained amid his astonishment. He didn’t answer Taishi Zhe’s question, instead turning his gaze to the other man. "Junior Brother Quan, is what Junior Brother Taishi said true?"

Seeing his disbelief, Taishi Zhe let out a frustrated grunt but offered no further explanation. Junior Brother Quan replied, "What Junior Brother Taishi said is indeed true."
