Daqian Martial Saint
Chapter 381 - 343: Rumors of Beicang, Blessed Land
Chen Ping’an didn’t dwell on the matter. Although the night was deep, his daily Cultivation of the Soul-Severing Saber was not yet complete. With a single movement, he sat cross-legged on the bed, closed his eyes, and began guiding his energy through its Circulations according to the Soul-Breaking Blade Heart Method.
Tireless training, day in and day out. Like water dripping through stone, constant effort would eventually yield great rewards.
....
At the first light of dawn the next day, Chen Ping’an rose and began to practice the Broken Soul Saber Technique in the courtyard.
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!
Chen Ping’an had barely slept the previous night. But when he rose today, he was still full of vigor, his Divine Intent brimming.
At his current Realm, his need for sleep was minimal. He only required an hour or two of sleep each day to feel refreshed and energized. In some situations, even going for more than ten consecutive days without sleep would not affect his condition in the slightest.
Only prolonged sleeplessness would have any real effect on his mental state, bringing on a subtle fatigue.
Masters of his caliber generally spent their free time at night regulating their True Qi, guiding it through Circulations, and condensing their Spiritual Energy.
+1!
As another stream of Cultivation Experience flowed through him, Chen Ping’an’s form shifted, and he withdrew his saber to stand at attention.
"Two more days!"
Chen Ping’an’s eyes glinted.
Another night had passed. There were just two days left until the official start of the Beicang Auction!
Because of the specific instructions he had given the day before, Yuan Zutong did not come to disturb him today. After a moment’s thought, Chen Ping’an stepped out of the courtyard.
...
After leaving his courtyard, Chen Ping’an first had a meal in Qingya Tower. Then, he left Qingyou Garden and went for a walk through Beicang Town. Qingyou Garden was situated deep within the town, and the surrounding structures could be considered the very core of Beicang.
These included Cangxuan Pavilion, where Chen Ping’an’s other identity was staying, the Beicang Garrison, and...
...the venue for the upcoming grand auction, the Blessed Land.
The Blessed Land was built against a mountain. It covered a vast area, its interior large enough to hold several thousand people.
Chen Ping’an passed by the Blessed Land and circled its perimeter. The structure’s overall design was rather unique, appearing to merge seamlessly with the mountain behind it. Located within the Canglong Mountain Range and enhanced by the surrounding scenery, it could be called a true spectacle.
One could only imagine from its appearance how much effort and dedication it must have taken to construct such a building within the Canglong Mountain Range.
Besides the Blessed Land, Chen Ping’an also took a look at the Beicang Garrison while he was in the area.
The main gate to the Beicang Garrison was extremely wide, with stone-carved Demon Beasts seated on either side. These Demon Beasts resembled lions and were extraordinarily majestic; only an institution of overwhelming force would display such carvings as guardians.
The gates of the Garrison Commandant’s Office were guarded by elite constables, whose Cultivation auras were all, shockingly, at the Qi Blood Fifth Layer! Within the Beicang Garrison, such elites were considered overqualified for their duties.
Their rank was high, but their duties were those of a common constable.
Chen Ping’an merely passed by without stopping to talk. Although he was part of the Governor System, he belonged to the Weishui Garrison. He and the Beicang Garrison were on different tracks and had little to do with each other. Having no friends in the Beicang Garrison, he was naturally in no mood for idle chit-chat.
Speaking of which, Beicang Town was a strategic Pass. The Beicang Garrison was under the direct jurisdiction of the Canglong Province Garrison Command, making it a tier higher in the hierarchy than the Weishui Garrison.
Chen Ping’an wandered around outside for a while before returning to Qingyou Garden near noon. After a quick bite to eat, he resumed his Soul-Severing Saber Cultivation. He then spent the entire afternoon in the courtyard, going nowhere.
He thought the day would pass uneventfully, but shortly after nightfall, Yuan Zutong came rushing from outside, seeking an audience with Chen Ping’an.
"Sir, I have urgent business to report!" Yuan Zutong called out from outside the courtyard, his expression anxious.
"Enter!" Chen Ping’an’s voice traveled like a thread, entering Yuan Zutong’s ears directly.
"Yes, sir!" Yuan Zutong replied, stepping into the courtyard.
"What is it?"
"Sir, just moments ago, a Grandmaster arrived in Beicang Town!"
"What?" Hearing this, Chen Ping’an’s head snapped up, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes.
