Chapter 242: Finding out about the prank

[3rd POV]

Wanda had soon found her answer, when her children had returned alongside Raven. Milim and Naruto were barely hiding their bright grins from their faces, as Wanda raised an eyebrow as they walked back into the bookstore.

"Am I right to assume that you four enjoyed your time out there?" Wanda asked, as she got nods in response. With even Raven seemingly having enjoyed herself. She wondered what exactly they had done over there, but she imagined she was about to find out, knowing how much they liked to brag about their pranks when they went well.

They didn’t always go well.

"It was awesome mama! We got to prank the Young Justice, and you should have seen their faces, it was hilarious!" Naruto responded with a grin on his face, as Milim joined him.

"...Do I want to know what that prank was?" Wanda asked, as she glanced at her girlfriend who sighed.

"They used a genderbending potion to swap the genders of the Young Justice team" Raven answered. Wanda blinked several times at this response, before turning and staring at her children blankly.

Naruto and Milim stilled underneath her sharp stare, while Amity sighed.

"I told them that it might be too much to go that far, but they did not listen to me" Amity said, knowing that this was going to happen.

Changing someone’s gender like that was...well, kind of insane. Sure, it was a "prank", but to some people it could cause some serious harm, and be problematic at the very least.

They were just lucky that the ones that they had pranked were far less likely to be harmed by it, and would probably just laugh it off once the prank wears off. But the real question she had for them was when it would be wearing off. As that would decide if she was punishing them or not.

"And how long until this little...prank of yours is wearing off?" Wanda asked,

"Only like three or four days" Naruto responded to his mother, flinching underneath her sharpened gaze as she looked at him.

"...That is a long time. Have you ensured that if anything happens, or if things become too problematic, then it will undo by itself?" Wanda asked, as the duo nodded rapidly.

"Mhmm! We made sure to use a bunch of enchantments that will detect if it goes too far. Like if it’s making them question their sense of self and stuff like that - at least, if it does it in a negative way - on top of if it gets in the way during a life threatening situation" Milim responded quickly, knowing that her mama was very close to punishing them.

And neither of them wanted to find out what the punishment for this sort of thing would be. As they doubted it would be a good one, or an enjoyable one. At least the other punishments were kind of just boring, but not that bad.

This one would have been worse.

"Hmmm...you are lucky then. Had you pushed it any longer than you’d be getting punished right now. Now head on upstairs while I talk with Raven" Wanda said, as the trio rapidly nodded before running off, not wanting to test their luck.

The trio left moments later, leaving Wanda and Raven alone as they watched them flee.

"You added other enchantments just in case, right?" Wanda asked, still glancing towards where they left.

"Of course. I noticed that some of their enchantments were wrong, or not strong enough, so I made sure to add some more just to make sure nothing bad happened. They almost turned all of the boys into girls, and instead of turning the girls into boys, they would have been turned into...well, something in between" Raven responded, causing Wanda to glance at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Probably a good thing you did that then. That would have caused a lot more issues than what they went with, at least, I am pretty sure it would have" Wanda said, agreeing with her decision to make sure that the prank happened as it should have.

The alternative would not have been pretty. Mostly because they had no idea how being "In between" would even present, and would likely not be in a comfortable or smooth way. They weren’t Wanda or Raven.

The only one that would have likely been fine with that part would have been M’gann herself thanks to her being a shapeshifter.

"I figured. The two of them are strong, and knowledgeable, sure, but they are not the best when it comes to magic. Amity is probably going to be better than them if she continues to progress at her rate" Raven said, knowing that her own skill in magic surpassed the three of them, and was only surpassed by Wanda herself.

She’d never be able to surpass her girlfriend, that much she always knew and understood. When someone was the literal Primordial of the area, it was kind of impossible.

"Most likely. Naruto is more in tune with natural energy, chakra, and similar areas. While Milim is better at ki, aura, and more destructive energies" Wanda responded, agreeing with her girlfriends words regarding their development in magic.

Amity was simply better at it, more naturally talented. If Milim used the full extent of her mental attributes on it, she would be better, but she was far more interested in ki and chi and areas similar to that.

They were also just more in line with her being, so it made more sense for her to focus on them. Just like how Naruto was vastly more talented in chakra, natural energy, and a few similar areas when compared to Milim.

Each kid was talented in different areas. Different energies and general "Branches".

"Sounds about right. What do you think Amity is better at, besides magic of course" Raven asked, curious to hear her girlfriend’s answer.

"Besides magic? I think she’s similar to Amity and Naruto and shares some talents. She’s good at Magic, Aura, Chakra, and I also believe she will be skilled in some other energies that she simply has not found just yet" Wanda replied, knowing that Amity was quite the talented girl, and had a wide reaching talent pool that was likely a lot bigger than one would think.

Wanda knew her daughter was talented, just like her son and eldest daughter.

Raven just hummed in response to her answer, before deciding to ask another question "So, what was it like meeting Hestia?"

Wanda smiled at her question, and soon dove into an explanation.
