His gaze fell back on Bai Wanwan, his voice laced with a chilling coldness. "Did they bully you?"

The words were thick with killing intent, as if a single nod from Bai Wanwan would send him charging out to slaughter all of those dozens of males.

Seeing this, Bai Wanwan hurried forward, took his hand, and led him into the house. She beamed, "Don’t you worry. If I’d really been taken advantage of, I wouldn’t have waited for you to ask—I would’ve already been crying my eyes out to you."

Zhu Xiu’s expression finally softened, but he still seemed uneasy. "What were those males doing here just now?"

Yan Lie sidled up to Bai Wanwan’s other side, his tone laced with self-reproach. "If I’d known those males were going to cause trouble, I never would have left."

Satisfied with Yan Lie’s answer, Bai Wanwan turned to Zhu Xiu. "And you?"

"I’m the one spoiling you, so what do you think?"

A small smile played on Zhu Xiu’s lips as he took her hand and led her into the house.

Bai Wanwan’s expression was one of pure satisfaction, but then her gaze fell on the Cannibal Fish slung over his shoulder.

She hadn’t eaten sashimi in so long. The mere sight of it made her swallow.

By the time Zhu Xiu came inside and set down the Cannibal Fish, she was already brandishing a Stone Knife, eager to get started.

Zhu Xiu squatted on the ground and began to untie the vines.

Xin Feng moved to shield Bai Wanwan behind him. "The Cannibal Fish is still alive. Be careful."

Bai Wanwan grabbed his shoulder with one hand. "What’s it going to do? Jump up and bite me?"

The words were barely out of her mouth when the still-bound Cannibal Fish actually did leap into the air.

Its freed tail thrashed against the ground. THWAP! THWAP!

Zhu Xiu simply grabbed a Stone Knife and plunged it into the Cannibal Fish’s head with swift, ruthless precision.

The Cannibal Fish’s tail thrashed wildly, but after just three seconds, it fell limp and gradually went still.

Zhu Xiu untied the vines, revealing a fish with pale red, translucent flesh.

Its scales still shimmered with an iridescent light. If you ignored its terrifying, sharp teeth, it was actually a very beautiful fish.

Xin Feng’s gaze was gentle as he looked up at her. "It’s delicious. You eat more."

Zhu Xiu just grunted in agreement. "If you like it, we’ll go catch more for you in a few days."

"No, forget it! It’s delicious, but a taste is enough. I can’t have you all risking your lives just so I can have a snack."

For anything else, Bai Wanwan wouldn’t have refused, but catching Cannibal Fish was just too dangerous.

Who would have thought that as soon as she said this, all the males would turn to look at her.

After feeding Zhu Xiu, she fed Xin Feng and Yan Lie in turn.

Bai Wanwan pointed to a large piece of flesh on the fish’s back. "Cut this part off. I’m going to take it to Shi Hua."

"No need. We already made an agreement with Mu Feng. The smaller one is for him and Shi Hua. This one was saved for you."
