Bai Wanwan had just stepped over the threshold when the morning breeze washed over her, carrying an unfamiliar scent.

Not far away, a male with a silhouette similar to Yan Lie’s but a vastly different air about him stood with his back to her.

Yan Lie was as clear and bright as a mountain spring, but the male before her was like an unsheathed sword, radiating a piercing aura.

"Yan Lie, do we have a guest?"

She deliberately spoke up, her fingertips tapping lightly on the doorframe.

Both figures turned simultaneously.

Yan Lie instantly appeared at her side, his warm palm naturally settling on the small of her back. "Why are you up?"

His voice held a satisfied hoarseness, and his amber eyes were filled with a concern he couldn’t hide.

Bai Wanwan’s gaze, however, went past him, fixed directly on the unfamiliar male.

He was sizing her up as well, his sharp gaze feeling as if it could slice through flesh and see into her very soul.

She withdrew her gaze, asking Yan Lie, "And this is?"

Yan Lie immediately responded, "This is my older brother. He looks a bit intimidating, but he won’t hurt anyone without reason. Wanwan, don’t be afraid."

Yan Chi narrowed his eyes. ’What nonsense is Yan Lie spouting?’

But he had never seen Yan Lie look at any female with such an expression.

"Brother, this is my mate, Bai Wanwan."

Bai Wanwan gave him a kind smile. Regardless, he was Yan Lie’s family.

"Yan Lie... you’ve bonded with her?"

Yan Lie squeezed Bai Wanwan’s hand and nodded to his eldest brother. "Yes, Brother. She is my Wife."

Yan Chi’s breath hitched. When he had asked the Clan Leader about Yan Lie’s whereabouts, the Clan Leader had only told him to find Yan Lie himself and hadn’t revealed any further details.

Before coming, he didn’t even know Yan Lie had already taken a mate.

His brow furrowed slightly. ’Did this female use some trick to deceive Yan Lie?’

His gaze grew colder.

Yan Lie had been holding Bai Wanwan’s hand with concern, asking if she was feeling unwell anywhere.

But when he noticed Yan Chi’s stare, he immediately turned and shielded Bai Wanwan behind him.

"Brother, if you’re going to be hostile toward Wanwan, then you’re not welcome here."

Yan Chi narrowed his eyes, displeasure clouding his features. "Yan Lie, do you even remember what you were like before you left? Tell me, did she force you?"

Yan Lie answered crisply, "She didn’t force me. I was the one who forced her."

Yan Chi listened, but he remained skeptical.

He asked probingly, "Since you’ve already taken a mate, when are you bringing your female back to the tribe?"

’If he could bring this female back to the Snow Leopard Tribe, then with all of them watching, she wouldn’t dare to bully Yan Lie.’

Yan Lie wanted to go back and see his family too, but he knew Wanwan had her own plans.

"When the time is right, I’ll take Wanwan back to see Mother and Father Beast."

"You’re not coming back with me?"

"No..."

Before Yan Lie could finish, Bai Wanwan took his hand.

"Wanwan?"

Bai Wanwan smiled at him, then looked at Yan Chi, who stood opposite them. "Brother, we will go back to visit Mother and Father Beast."

Yan Chi was somewhat surprised by Bai Wanwan’s good nature.

A smile lit up his face, and he waved, gesturing for her to hurry back inside and rest.

The memory of yesterday filled his heart with contentment and joy.

Yan Chi had been staring at him the whole time. Seeing the smile on his brother’s face, he was beginning to believe that Yan Lie had truly fallen for that female.

Yan Lie noticed Yan Chi’s stare and finally looked away.

"Brother, you can’t give Wanwan a hard time. The males around her are all powerful and exceptional. She didn’t think I was good enough for her at first..."

"Didn’t think you were good enough?" Yan Chi’s voice rose in disbelief.

Yan Lie was younger, but his Talent was superior, and his looks were more popular with females.

In that brief moment, Zhu Xiu had drawn near.

Zhu Xiu’s gaze swept over Yan Chi, not lingering for long.

"It’s your turn to hunt today. It’s getting late. The sooner you go, the sooner you’ll be back."

Yan Lie nodded immediately. "I’ll head up the mountain as soon as I see my brother off."

Zhu Xiu glanced at Yan Chi and gave him a slight nod, and the three of them passed each other.

Yan Chi’s eyes followed Zhu Xiu as he walked away. "Is he also one of that female’s Beast Husbands?" he asked.

"Yes. My mate’s name is Bai Wanwan. The man you just saw is her first Beast Husband, Zhu Xiu."

Yan Chi had already sensed it. ’The aura of death about him is too strong. He’s definitely no ordinary male.’
