The majority of his clan were ordinary, non-venomous Snake Beasts, completely unable to contend with a powerful tribe.

Bai Wanwan knew Yin Mei probably wasn’t in mortal danger, but she could have been forcibly mated with by another male.

"If Sister Yin Mei isn’t here, how will we find her?"

A glint appeared in Zhu Xiu’s eyes. "We can find her. It will just take some time and effort."

Yan Lie walked over to her, raising a hand to smooth the worried lines on her forehead. Without a word, he silently took her hand, offering comfort.

After a long wait, the Clan Leader and Kong Lai emerged together.

The Clan Leader’s face was visibly more relaxed. "He just personally searched every nook and cranny of our tribe, big and small. The female you’re looking for isn’t here. Like I said, the males of our tribe don’t go out kidnapping females. You can rest assured now."

"You’d better not be lying to us!" Yan Lie stared at the Clan Leader, still not entirely convinced.

The Clan Leader nodded repeatedly. "I’m really not lying. But... I did just remember something."

"What is it?" Bai Wanwan pressed.

"A while ago, when our clan’s Snake Beastmen went into the mountains to hunt, they kept seeing tracks left by a large snake. Judging by the crushed trees, that snake’s beast form is probably just a little smaller than yours," the Clan Leader said, addressing Zhu Xiu.

"Are you saying there’s an outsider Snake Beast nearby, and that he might have been the one to take the female?"

"I’m not sure if he was the one who took her. I’m just telling you that such a Snake Beast exists. You lost a female, and the culprit was a Snake Beast. You can go after it and see if it’s the one you’re looking for."

A cobra, which had been sound asleep, suddenly snapped its eyes open.

Curled up in a corner of the cave was a petite female.

It hissed at her impatiently. "If you don’t agree to mate with me, I’ll have no choice but to snap your neck with my fangs!"

It stared at the female, its gaze a vicious threat.

Yin Mei shook her head. "No, I refuse. I have a Beast Husband. Let me go, now."

"Let you leave?" The cobra chuckled. "Did you not hear what I just said? There’s only one way you’re leaving this place, and that’s after I snap your neck and toss you out."

The cobra beast’s patience was wearing thin. The only reason he hadn’t forced the female yet was because he wanted to make her his mate and have her bear his offspring in the future.

But her constant resistance and disdain had all but exhausted what little patience he had.

’Since she doesn’t want to be my female, then there’s no need to be gentle. I’ll just mate with her by force.’

He slowly slithered over to the female, wrapping his Snake Tail around her body and lifting her into the air.

The tip of his tail slid under her Beast Skin Skirt...

The female struggled with all her might. "Let me go! If you hurt me, my Beast Husband and my brother will never forgive you!"

"Good. Then let them come and find me."

As a Wandering Beast, the Snake Beastman possessed formidable survival skills in the wild.

He wasn’t afraid of powerful males from other clans. First of all... they would have to find him.

But just as he was about to take the final step, the cobra’s body suddenly went rigid.

"What are you afraid of? Why don’t you put me down? It would be easier for you to escape on your own."

Yin Mei’s well-intentioned suggestion was met with the Snake Beastman’s roar. "Shut up! Shut your mouth if you don’t want me to bite your head off!"

He wouldn’t give up this beautiful female until the very last moment.

He could feel Zhu Xiu’s presence; it was the bloodline suppression a King Cobra exerted over him.

But it wasn’t difficult for a King Cobra to find a mere cobra either.

From what Kong Lai had said, Zhu Xiu already knew that the one who had taken Yin Mei was a snake slightly smaller than himself.

Flicking his tongue, Zhu Xiu carefully sensed the auras of the snakes in the vicinity.

"This way."

They quickly crested a mountain peak and arrived at the cave where Yin Mei had been held.

"Yin Mei’s scent is here. And it’s very strong in the cave, which means they were here for quite a while."

"That Snake Beast sensed my presence and left ahead of time."

Finally, they spotted the cobra by a waterfall.

He was attempting to jump, still holding the female in his coils.

"Stop!" Kong Lai shrieked, immediately flapping his wings and flying toward the cobra.

The cobra sensed the commotion and turned its head.

The moment it saw Zhu Xiu, its body froze.

"Even if you jump, we can still catch you. I advise you not to waste your energy," Zhu Xiu reminded him coldly.

The cobra Snake Beastman stared at him, stunned. "You... You’re Zhu Xiu? The Mutated Snake Beast who devoured his own brother, right?"

Zhu Xiu narrowed his eyes at him. "You know me?"
