Chou Rong’s arrival cast a sudden hush over the scene.

Ah Man’s eyes darted around before she threw herself forward, wailing. Her voice was shrill and piercing.

"Clan Leader! You have to get justice for us! These Foreign Beastmen are throwing their weight around, not only did they bite my cubs, but they also injured my Beast Husband!" She pointed at Bai Wanwan, a vicious glint in her eyes. "They have no respect for the Tiger Clan! These Foreign Beastmen must be driven out of the clan!"

Chou Rong’s golden, vertical pupils narrowed slightly. His gaze slowly swept over every Beastman present before finally landing on Ah Man’s face.

His voice was low, yet it carried an undeniable authority. "You want me to drive my own Wife out of the clan?"

His words struck like a clap of thunder, and the surrounding Beastmen instantly erupted into an uproar.

"What?"

"That female... is the Clan Leader’s Wife?"

The color drained from Ah Man’s face in an instant. Her lips trembled, and for a long moment, she couldn’t utter a single word.

’She never would have imagined it! This seemingly fragile foreign female was the Clan Leader’s legendary, mysterious mate!’

’And the one her cub had bitten... was the Clan Leader’s own child!’

Bai Wanwan slowly stepped forward. The corners of her lips tilted up in a slight smile, but her eyes were frighteningly cold.

"A moment ago, you admitted with your own mouth that it was your Beast Husband who used Mama Grass on my child and allowed your cubs to attack him."

"I did not!"

The female named Ah Man immediately denied it. "My Beast Husband would never do something like that. You misheard."

’She was filled with immense regret. If she had known this female was the Clan Leader’s Wife, she not only wouldn’t have said those things, but she also wouldn’t have dared to let her cub bite the other’s child.’

’But it had already happened. All she could do now was adamantly deny everything.’

"I didn’t know who you were. I was just a little disrespectful with my words, but my cub never hurt yours. Those were just things said in anger. In fact, it was *your* child who bit *my* cub, and plenty of Beastmen saw it! Isn’t that right, everyone?"

Ah Man didn’t notice the sharp glint that flashed in Chou Rong’s eyes. He had never been a particularly just or strict Clan Leader. He had done whatever it took to survive this long.

’He would protect his position as Clan Leader, because now he had a family to guard.’

’If he couldn’t even protect his own family, then what was the point of being Clan Leader?’

Ah Man’s eyes darted about. "I want their legs broken, all of them who bullied my cub. Then, I want them all exiled from the clan to become Wandering Beasts."

She knew her proposal was excessive. After speaking, she couldn’t help but sneak a glance at the Clan Leader’s face.

But to her pleasant surprise, Chou Rong nodded immediately, without the slightest hesitation. "Good. The criminals deserve such a punishment!"

"Yes, yes, yes..." Ah Man’s eyes crinkled into a smile. She even started ordering the Beastmen standing beside the Clan Leader. "Didn’t you hear the Clan Leader? Get to it! Break their legs and drive their whole family out of the clan!"

Her words were met with a long, unresponsive silence.

A hint of anger colored Ah Man’s face. "Clan Leader, look... They’re not doing as you said!"

"They’re just not doing as *you* said."

Chou Rong gave her a cool glance, then turned and gave an order. Immediately, a Beastman brought a few young cubs forward.

"Tell everyone what you told me before."

The two half-grown cubs flinched, not daring to look at Ah Man and her children across from them.

’But the Clan Leader himself had sought them out. If they didn’t tell the truth, they’d be exiled from the clan once he found out anyway. Their Father Beast had told them they could never, ever become a Wandering Beast.’

’Becoming a Wandering Beast would ruin his entire life!’

After a moment’s hesitation, the two cubs began to speak haltingly. "That day... we saw Aunt Man’s Beast Husband tie up the wolf cub and use Mama Grass on him... The other cubs were tearing at him. He was covered in wounds..."

Soon... the Tiger Clan Beastmen understood what had happened.

It turned out Ah Man’s family had started the trouble, and these two young cubs had witnessed it.

Just moments ago, they had nearly helped Ah Man drive them away. If they hadn’t been the Clan Leader’s family, they might have actually succeeded.

The crowd of onlookers erupted into an uproar. Several of the older females were already looking on with disgust.

Ah Man shook her head frantically, pointing at her own injured children. "Look! It was clearly *their* child who bit *my* children!"

Chou Rong ignored her histrionics and turned to the Beastmen beside him. "You heard what she said before. Do it. Exile her entire family from the clan!"

"No! Clan Leader, you can’t do this!"

Seeing two males approach to grab her, she simply collapsed to the ground and began to wail, "The Clan Leader is bullying his own people for a foreign female!"

As she cried, she snuck glances at the surrounding Beastmen, trying to incite them. "The Clan Leader is just protecting his own female! He deliberately found those cubs to frame my Beast Husband and my children! If this continues, any of you who offend her will be exiled by the Clan Leader! Especially you... and you... you all just attacked them!"

Her wailing and accusations did indeed cause many of the Tiger Clan males to hesitate and begin murmuring among themselves.

Bai Wanwan scoffed, her gaze as sharp as a knife. "Frame you? Weren’t you pretty arrogant a moment ago when you said a ’foreign cub deserved to be bitten to death’? Now that you’ve picked a fight you can’t win, you’re resorting to tantrums?"

Her gaze swept over the crowd as her voice rose. "Are the rules of the Tiger Clan that whoever seems weaker is automatically right?"

The Beastmen looked at one another, at a loss for words.

Chou Rong’s authoritative gaze swept over all the Beastmen present. They subconsciously lowered their heads, not daring to meet his eyes.

He looked down at Ah Man, his voice ice-cold. "Condoning a cub to harm a fellow clan member, framing an outsider, inciting your people. How many more crimes do you intend to commit? Leave now, and you can keep your lives. Keep this up, and your Beast Husband and your male children will pay for it with their lives!"

When Ah Man saw the killing intent in his eyes, a shiver of pure panic went through her. She lunged forward, trying to grab Chou Rong’s leg, but he sidestepped her easily.

"Clan Leader! I—I wasn’t thinking clearly... Please, I beg you, spare us!"
