Delicate Villainess, Desperate Males – A Beast World Reverse Harem
Chapter 533 - 530: Missing Her Already
Chapter 533: Chapter 530: Missing Her Already
She groggily opened her eyes, her long lashes brushing against Jin Yi’s cheek. She was still dazed at first, but once she recognized it was Jin Yi holding and kissing her, her gaze instantly softened, filled with the lazy dependence of someone who had just woken up.
She raised her arms, naturally wrapping them around his neck, and began to earnestly return his farewell kiss.
However, as they kissed, Bai Wanwan clearly felt the changes in Jin Yi’s body. The searing heat and tense muscles she could feel through the thin fabric, along with a certain undeniable presence, all announced the swift escalation of his male desire.
She had only wanted a tender moment of farewell, not to do... anything else, especially not this early in the morning with her Beast Husbands and the cubs in the outer room.
Clearly, Jin Yi’s self-control was also in a fierce struggle.
He took a deep breath and finally, with immense force of will, forced himself to stop.
His lips slowly moved away, but his forehead remained pressed against hers. He held her tightly, his chest heaving as he panted, trying to calm the turmoil raging within him.
"I don’t want to leave you..." His voice was incredibly hoarse, thick with reluctance and a raw, post-passion sensuality.
Bai Wanwan buried her flushed cheeks against his broad, warm chest, listening to his powerful heartbeat. "Me too..." she murmured. "But I understand. Just take care of things quickly and come back soon. I... and the cubs will be waiting for you in the Tiger Clan."
Her voice was soft, full of dependence and trust.
A sense of deep comfort settled over Jin Yi’s heart, as if it were being filled with the warmest sunshine.
He pulled her soft, fragrant body even tighter, as if trying to merge her into his very bones, and promised in a low voice, "Alright. I’ll be back soon."
The two didn’t linger for long. Zhu Xiu approached the door from outside, his footsteps deliberately louder than necessary. His steady voice came through: "Everything is packed. It’s time to leave."
"Alright, we’re coming."
Jin Yi called back in response, then gave Bai Wanwan one more tight hug before slowly and reluctantly loosening his arms.
He picked up her clothes from the side and helped her get dressed.
While Bai Wanwan washed up and got ready, Jin Yi waited patiently by her side, his eyes almost never leaving her.
Once she was ready, Jin Yi naturally reached out his hand to lead her outside.
Bai Wanwan, however, caught his hand, making him pause.
"Hmm?" Jin Yi turned back, looking at her with a hint of confusion.
Bai Wanwan opened her System Space and took out the large quantity of ointments she had prepared the night before.
In an instant, a small pile of ointments appeared on the bed.
"Take these ointments," she said, pointing to several smaller containers. "These five vials are Extreme Effect Golden Sore Medicine. You must remember to only use them for extremely critical, life-threatening injuries. It can rapidly stop bleeding and promote tissue regeneration. It can save your life in a crucial moment!"
She stared into his eyes, her instructions earnest and detailed.
Seeing him nod, she then pointed to the larger pile of ointments beside them. "If it’s just a superficial wound from routine hunting or fighting, nothing life-threatening, then use this kind. It works very well too."
The situation had recently become treacherous and fraught with danger, so Bai Wanwan had spent almost all of her Points to exchange for healing medicines.
And she had given the vast majority of them to Jin Yi.
Jin Yi looked at the large pile of incredibly precious ointments, then at Bai Wanwan’s eyes, filled with worry and concern. He was moved beyond words.
How could he not understand? Wanwan was giving him the greatest guarantee for his safety!
With a sweep of his long arms, he once again pulled his beloved female into a tight embrace. His voice was low and firm. "Wanwan, don’t worry. I’ll be alright. For you and for the cubs, I will never let anything happen to me."
He greedily inhaled the clean scent of her hair, as if trying to etch it into his very soul.
"You have to remember, if you run into danger, don’t be reckless. Your life comes first. If there’s a problem you can’t solve, come back. We’ll figure it out together."
"Okay. I won’t let anything happen to me. I can’t bear to leave you."
Bai Wanwan’s heart melted under his deep gaze.
"As long as you remember."
The two of them lingered for a little while longer before finally emerging from the room.
Sure enough, the other males outside had been waiting for quite some time.
Yan Lie was so bored he was leaning against the courtyard wall, tossing a pebble up and down.
But they all knew Jin Yi wasn’t traveling with them this time and understood the couple’s reluctance to part, so they all remained patient, not saying a word to rush or disturb them.
Now that they were out, everyone got moving and headed for the exit together.
Bai Wanwan had originally planned to formally bid farewell to Jin Cang Clan Leader, but halfway there, she saw him already approaching with several tribe elders and a group of Beastmen to see them off.
Jin Cang Clan Leader’s booming voice was full of affection and reluctance. "Wanwan, why are you leaving after only two days? Was the Golden Lion Tribe’s hospitality lacking?"
Bai Wanwan quickly stepped forward with a smile. "Father Beast, how could you say that? Everyone has been wonderful to me. It’s just, I haven’t been back to the Tiger Clan for a long time, and I really miss the cubs there. Once we’re settled, I promise to bring all the cubs back to see you. We’ll stay much longer then, so you’d better not find us too rowdy."
"Hahaha, good! Good!" Jin Cang Clan Leader boomed with laughter and clapped a hand on Jin Yi’s shoulder. "Then it’s settled! I’ll also push Jin Yi to handle the tribe’s affairs quickly so he can get back to you."
"Father Beast, feel free to give him plenty to do," Bai Wanwan replied with a smile.
Just then, Shi Hua came running over, panting, with her Beast Husband and cubs in tow.
Another round of tearful goodbyes and last-minute instructions followed.
In the end, everyone escorted them to the tribe’s tall, majestic main gate.
Yin Ze walked to an open area. A golden-red light swirled around him, and with a clear, piercing cry, the giant Fire Phoenix materialized once more, its magnificent wings shimmering dazzlingly in the morning light.
With the help of her Beast Husbands, Bai Wanwan took the cubs and their luggage and climbed once more onto the Phoenix’s broad, steady back.
Jin Yi stood at the very front, head tilted back to watch the slender, graceful figure on the Phoenix’s back. His golden eyes were filled with an impossibly deep and lingering attachment.
Bai Wanwan looked back, waving to her family and friends, but her eyes were locked on Jin Yi.
The Phoenix beat its wings and slowly rose into the air.
Jin Yi kept his head tilted back, his gaze tightly following her figure.
The Phoenix flew higher and higher, gradually becoming a distinct red dot against the blue sky.
Jin Yi strained his vision, still staring in that direction, until the red dot vanished completely between the azure horizon and the drifting clouds, and could be seen no more.
It felt as if a huge piece of his heart had suddenly been carved out.
Wanwan had only just left, but a bone-deep longing for her was already surging in, as powerful and overwhelming as the tide.
