Chapter 552: Chapter 549: Hua Han’s Whereabouts

Without the Tiger Clan’s protection, where could they go?

She looked at her Beast Husbands. Although they said nothing, they were waiting for her decision.

But she couldn’t lead them into danger.

Though unwilling, Bai Zhi ultimately yielded. She lowered her head in humiliation and apologized to Qian Hong in a voice as faint as a gnat’s buzz, promising to compensate her with a Deer Beast as soon as possible.

Having just wielded the stick, Bai Wanwan knew the other woman would harbor resentment.

"Once the apology has been made and compensation is paid, this matter will be considered closed. No one needs to bring it up again. Everyone deserves a chance to correct their mistakes. As long as you abide by the tribe’s rules and restrain your behavior, you can all continue to live happily in the Tiger Clan. My Beast Husbands and I will protect the safety of the entire tribe."

After all, she had four Red Rank Beastmen.

Her words immediately put some of the anxious Beastmen at ease.

With tribes outside being destroyed one after another, they still had a place like this to live in peace. All they had to do was not cause trouble. What was so hard about that?

Thanks to Bai Wanwan’s firm yet wise handling, the disturbance was finally quelled.

And the story of the "Holy Female establishing rules" quickly spread throughout the entire tribe by word of mouth among the Beastmen.

Bai Wanwan actually took this matter to heart. After returning home, she immediately began to ponder how to regulate the behavior of these Beastmen.

The laws couldn’t be too strict; this was the Beastman World, after all.

But with so many Beastmen, certain regulations were necessary to avoid trouble.

This way, her family’s life here would also be more relaxed and joyful.

When Chou Rong returned after finishing his work, the cubs were already resting under the care of the other Beast Husbands.

Bai Wanwan was still busy at the table by the light of a night lamp.

Xin Feng, who was sitting in the room, didn’t make a sound to disturb her. He just gave Chou Rong a slight shake of his head when he entered.

Chou Rong nodded and walked slowly up behind Bai Wanwan.

He watched her write and draw with a strange object, recording symbols he couldn’t understand.

Bai Wanwan had already sensed the presence of another male in the room.

But she only turned to look at her Beast Husband after she finished writing the last few words.

"You’re back?"

Chou Rong took the opportunity to sit down beside her. "Why aren’t you asleep yet? What are you working on?"

Bai Wanwan smiled at him. "Haven’t you heard about my heroic feat today?"

A faint smile appeared on Chou Rong’s cheeks. "Mm, I heard. You did very well. But you’re pregnant. You don’t need to worry about these things; I’ll handle them."

Bai Wanwan reached out and took his hand. "I’m not tired. And I don’t think you should have to handle these trivial tribal matters personally."

Bai Wanwan thought for a moment before speaking slowly, "I think the tribe has gotten too large, and Foreign Beastmen are constantly arriving to join us. If you have to make every single decision by yourself, you’ll be exhausted, and it’s unnecessary."

Chou Rong looked at her, gesturing for her to continue.

"We could try to establish some new... rules and a new order."

Bai Wanwan organized her thoughts. "For example, we could categorize the tribe’s affairs. Things that happen often and have precedent, like arranging daily hunting grounds, distributing daily food, and handling minor disputes within the gathering teams—these small matters can be delegated to a few trustworthy and capable older males. They would only need to report the outcomes to you periodically."

"Only when they encounter major issues they can’t decide on, or matters that require coordination between different teams, or when someone commits a very serious mistake, would you need to handle it personally. That way, you’d be freed from these trivial tasks and can focus your energy on more important things, like training warriors, planning the tribe’s development, and defending against external threats."

As she spoke, she used her pen to draw circles on the paper, sketching a simple diagram of the management hierarchy.

Chou Rong listened with extreme focus, committing her every word to memory.

’Wanwan’s idea is so clear and efficient,’ he thought. ’It really could solve a lot of small problems.’

"Alright," he decided almost instantly. "We’ll do it just as you say, Wanwan! I’ll gather the High Rank Males tomorrow and lay out these matters clearly!"

They didn’t notice when Xin Feng had left.

Chou Rong extinguished the lamp.

Bai Wanwan stretched lazily and was just about to speak when Chou Rong embraced her from the side.

She relaxed into his embrace.

The bright, clear moon hung on the tips of a giant, distant tree’s branches. Its pure light spilled across the land, softening the rugged profile of Chou Rong’s face.

He looked down at the female in his arms, who had grown even more delicate due to her pregnancy, yet whose eyes remained as intelligent and bright as ever. His heart filled with an inexpressible sense of admiration, pride, and love.

He recalled when he first saw her in the Cat Clan Tribe. His suspicion of her had been so great that he’d had the urge to strangle her.

The stark contrast made him let out a low chuckle, and his arms instinctively tightened around her.

"What are you laughing at?" Bai Wanwan tilted her face up, asking curiously.

Chou Rong’s large hand gently cupped her cheek, his thumb caressing her smooth skin. In the moonlight, his dark golden pupils were as deep as whirlpools, swirling with emotions so thick they could not be dissolved.

"I’m laughing at myself," he said, his voice deep and magnetic, tinged with a hint of emotion. "If I had known it would come to this... I should have snatched you up without a second thought the very first time I saw you in the Cat Clan Tribe and mated with you immediately. Then we wouldn’t have... wasted those two years."

His tone carried a sense of wonder at the miraculous workings of fate and a deep love for the person in his arms.

His words made Bai Wanwan’s lips curl into a smile, her heart feeling as if it were filled with honey. "I’ll give you that, you have good taste..."

She buried her face deeper into his warm, broad chest, listening to his strong, steady heartbeat, and the corners of her mouth curved into a blissful smile.

The moonlight, like water, quietly enveloped the embracing pair in a warm and serene glow.

But she was simply too tired today. Even in such a beautiful atmosphere, Bai Wanwan couldn’t help but let out a yawn.

"Tired?"

Bai Wanwan hummed a soft "mhm," too lazy to even open her eyes as she lay in his arms.

With a slight exertion of strength, Chou Rong lifted the petite female in his arms and carried her step by step toward the bed.

As she was laid down on her comfortable bed, Bai Wanwan let out a sigh of contentment, her consciousness already beginning to fade.

But just then, a noise came from outside the door.

Something flew directly inside and landed on the headboard.

Bai Wanwan had been too sleepy to even open her eyes, but she felt the vibration and turned her head to look.

She discovered it was a Tracking Bird.

Her drowsiness immediately vanished.

She sat up, clutching the blanket, and held the Tracking Bird in her palm.

She hadn’t expected the bird to return so soon.

"What is it?"

Seeing her cupping a strange bird with a grave expression, Chou Rong couldn’t help but ask.

"There’s news of Hua Han!"

Ordinarily, she could have put the Tracking Bird into her System Space and set out tomorrow.

But after failing to find him last time, Bai Wanwan didn’t dare to take the chance.

She immediately threw off the blanket, preparing to get out of bed. "Chou Rong, I have to go find Hua Han."
