"Really?" Hua Han hugged her tightly. Feeling the soft warmth in his arms, his heart pounded in his chest.

"Mhm. Don’t you worry, either. Once these cubs are born, I’ll have enough Points. I’ll redeem a Potion to completely clear out that black mist and help you make a full recovery."

That night, although Hua Han was incredibly excited and tried all sorts of things—as if to make up for all their lost time and love—he was ultimately still mindful of her condition and the cubs in her belly. He held back his strength throughout, their lovemaking tender and lingering as he carefully avoided hurting her.

Finally, in a state of ultimate satisfaction and exhaustion, he pulled the soft, fragrant female in his arms close, holding her as if she were the most precious treasure in the world, and fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, Bai Wanwan was the first to wake up.

Morning light streamed into the room through the cracks in the stone window.

She raised her hand and gently stroked his face, which was even more beautiful than that of many females. Her voice was as gentle as if she were coaxing a child. "It’s still early. Why don’t you sleep a little longer? I’m just going to get up and wash, okay?"

But Hua Han, in his bewildered state, refused to let go. Instead, his arm tightened, and he let out a muffled rumble of protest from deep in his throat, burying his face in her shoulder and nuzzling against her.

Zhu Xiu, Xin Feng, and Yin Ze were already awake, conversing in low voices in the clearing outside.

She relayed to her Beast Husbands, in full detail, everything Hua Han had told her during his lucid moment the night before.

After she finished, all three of their expressions turned grave.

Zhu Xiu was the first to speak, his voice low and serious. "If what Hua Han said is true, then the situation outside is even more dangerous than we thought. Wanwan, we can’t delay here any longer. We have to return to the Tiger Clan Tribe as soon as possible and figure out our next move."

"Okay," Bai Wanwan nodded at once. "Let’s pack up and get ready to leave."

"Right," Xin Feng agreed. "We’ll leave as soon as Yan Lie gets back from his hunt."

With her Beast Husbands looking after her, Bai Wanwan finished her breakfast.

She then went back inside to sit with Hua Han for a while.

When Xin Feng came in to check on her, she couldn’t help but ask, "Is Yan Lie not back yet?"

After her conversation with Hua Han the previous night, she was on edge, terrified that Yan Lie might have run into trouble as well.

"No, not yet." Seeing her worry, Xin Feng gently reassured her, "Yan Lie is a Red Rank Male now. Even if he runs into danger he can’t fight head-on, he’ll have no problem getting away."

Wanwan reluctantly accepted his reassurance, but she still couldn’t stop herself from constantly looking out for Yan Lie’s return.

It wasn’t until the afternoon that Bai Wanwan finally heard Yan Lie’s voice.

Bai Wanwan quickly settled Hua Han down before hurrying outside.

When he saw his mate, he closed the distance in a few steps and gripped her shoulders, his voice fast and urgent. "Wanwan, the Leopard Clan Tribe was attacked! These are my people, they fled the tribe! I have to go back right away. I don’t know what’s happened to my Father Beast, my Mother, or my siblings!"

As he finished speaking, his hands on Bai Wanwan’s shoulders tightened as if he’d made a firm decision. "Xin Feng and Zhu Xiu are with you, so I know you’ll be safe. You all stick to the plan and go back to the Tiger Clan! I’m going to the Leopard Clan first to check on the situation. As soon as the tribe is safe, I’ll come right back to the Tiger Clan to find you."

Before the words were even out of his mouth, he let go and turned, ready to depart at once.

"Wait!" Bai Wanwan reacted in a flash, grabbing his wrist. Her tone was firm. "How can I possibly be at ease with you going to such a dangerous place alone?"

Yan Lie stopped, not wanting to hurt her by pulling away.

He looked back at her, his eyes a mixture of worry for his people and concern for her. "Wanwan! We don’t know what’s happening at the Leopard Clan, it could be incredibly dangerous! You can’t go. I’ll only be at ease if you go back to the Tiger Clan."

"That’s exactly why I can’t let you go alone." Bai Wanwan didn’t back down, tightening her grip on his wrist. "To cause this much damage, the attackers must have a Red Rank Powerhouse among them! What if there’s more than one? If you go back by yourself, you’ll be walking right into a trap! We should go together so we can watch each other’s backs!"

"But..." Yan Lie’s brows knitted together. His gaze swept over her slightly rounded belly, his worry almost overflowing. "Your condition..."
