Chapter 566: Chapter 563: Comparable to a Miracle

Without Yan Lie’s support, the heavily injured male swayed on his feet.

Bai Wanwan, who had been watching the battle unfold, saw this happen.

His injuries were extremely severe, and there were still a few controlled Beastmen wandering nearby, ready to pounce and deliver a fatal blow at any moment.

’I absolutely cannot let Yan Lie lose his family!’

The thought was incredibly strong. She had never had a family, but she didn’t want the male she loved to lose his.

She immediately said to Xin Feng and the struggling Hua Han, who was forcing himself to stand protectively in front of her, "Xin Feng, Hua Han, let’s go. We’ll protect Yan Lie’s Father Beast so Yan Lie can rescue the other clan members without worrying!"

Xin Feng’s sharp gaze quickly swept over their surroundings. Confirming there were no immediate major threats, he nodded at once. "Alright! Let’s go. Wanwan, stay close to me!"

The two males protected Bai Wanwan, swiftly and cautiously navigating around several small skirmishes until they reached Yan Shan’s side.

The sudden appearance of strange Beastmen made Yan Shan instantly wary. Despite his weakness, he subconsciously assumed a defensive posture, his sharp eyes fixed on Xin Feng and Bai Wanwan.

"Don’t be afraid," Bai Wanwan said immediately, her voice as gentle yet clear as she could make it. "We’re Yan Lie’s companions. We’re here to help you!"

Hearing Yan Lie’s name and seeing Bai Wanwan’s female identity and sincere gaze, Yan Shan’s tense nerves relaxed slightly. The breath he had been holding in to stay upright escaped him, and his body suddenly swayed, about to collapse.

Quick-witted and swift, Xin Feng immediately stepped forward and firmly supported him. "You’re heavily injured. We’ll help you over to that broken wall to rest. Leave this to Yan Lie and the others. They’ll take care of these Beastmen."

Yan Shan wanted to say something, but excessive blood loss and his severe injuries left him without the strength to even speak. He could only let Xin Feng and Hua Han support him, one on each side, and escort him to a relatively safe spot behind the ruins of a broken wall to sit down.

Throughout this process, his gaze flickered toward Bai Wanwan from time to time, carrying a hint of barely perceptible inquiry.

Bai Wanwan noticed his gaze.

She crouched down. Using her small pouch as cover, she quickly took out some golden sore medicine from her System Space while giving him a reassuring smile. She took the initiative to speak. "Father Beast, my name is Bai Wanwan. I am Yan Lie’s Wife. I didn’t expect to meet you for the first time in the Leopard Clan under these circumstances."

"Wife?" Hearing this answer, the trace of suspicion in Yan Shan’s eyes vanished, replaced by an I-knew-it smile.

’No wonder my son wasn’t interested in the females of the tribe. He really has high standards.’

’And he’s got real skill, too. As expected of my, Yan Shan’s, son!’

The immense surprise temporarily overshadowed the searing pain in his body. "Good... Good..."

he murmured, his eyes even growing a little moist.

But the next second, he grew anxious again. "It’s too dangerous here! You’re a female, have them get you out of here quickly! Go find a safe place to hide!"

He even tried to raise a trembling hand to push her toward a more hidden spot, even though he himself was on the verge of death.

Bai Wanwan’s heart warmed at this subconscious, protective gesture toward a junior. She quickly held his hand down. "Father Beast, don’t move. You’re too seriously injured. Let me treat your wounds first. Don’t worry about me, I’m very safe."

She said no more, her movements practiced and quick as she cleaned the gruesome wounds on his body.

When she saw the wounds that were deep enough to expose bone, her expression turned grave.

She unhesitatingly applied the Extreme Effect Golden Sore Medicine to the most severe injuries.

After the ointment touched the wounds, Yan Shan Clan Leader sucked in a sharp breath, and an incredulous light erupted in his eyes.

The pain vanished almost instantly. He could even clearly feel the muscle tissue at the wound sites squirming and healing at a frantic pace.

Strength and warmth surged back into his limbs, which had been cold and stiff from blood loss.

’This... What is this miraculous medicine?’

’Its effect is practically a miracle!’

His face, originally pale as paper and his breathing faint, regained a trace of color at a visible rate, and his breaths became much stronger.

He looked in shock at Bai Wanwan, who was focused on bandaging him, the astonishment in his heart beyond words.

But he didn’t open his mouth to ask. The anxious battle cries coming from all around soon caught his attention.

Seeing his injuries stabilize, Bai Wanwan also breathed a sigh of relief and turned to check on Zhu Xiu and the others.

Zhu Xiu’s figure was like a phantom in the smoke of battle. His movements were strange yet efficient. Every sweep of his massive Snake Tail carried immense force, brutally swatting away controlled Beastmen who tried to launch sneak attacks or target the wounded. The heart-stopping CRACK of breaking bones followed.

His vertical pupils, glowing with a cold red light, constantly scanned the battlefield, precisely eliminating threats around Yan Lie and near the weaker members of the Leopard Clan, clearing a relatively safe space for him to operate.

In a furious rage, Yan Lie knocked the last few stubbornly resisting enemies to the ground.

He struck extremely heavily, nearly breaking their bones to ensure they were incapacitated, but ultimately, remembering they were his own kin, he suppressed his killing intent and spared their lives.

He panted heavily, his chest heaving, and scanned his surroundings, desperately searching for his closest family members.

He strode to the broken wall and looked at his Father Beast, whose complexion had already improved significantly. "Father Beast! Where are Mother and Sister? Where are they? Are they safe?"

Yan Shan Clan Leader leaned against the wall. Although weak, some of the life had returned to his eyes. He patted Yan Lie’s arm reassuringly. "Don’t worry, they’re not in the village. When the attack happened, I had your older brother escort them. They left first with the first group of clan elders and cubs through the secret passage. They went to the old sacrificial cave of our Leopard Clan. It’s very hidden. Rest assured, with your brothers there, they’ll be fine."

He had risked coming back because he couldn’t stop worrying about the clan members and the village he’d left behind to cover the retreat, but had unfortunately been caught in an encirclement.

Hearing that his family had already evacuated safely, the tension that had been gripping Yan Lie’s heart finally eased for the most part, and he let out a long sigh of relief.

"Don’t kill them. Tie them all up first and keep them under strict guard!" Yan Lie ordered the surviving Leopard Clan Warriors who had gathered around.

Looking at the once-familiar faces that were now numb and strange, his heart filled with grief, indignation, and helplessness.

With the addition of Red Rank Powerhouses like Zhu Xiu, Yan Lie, and Yin Ze, the originally deadlocked and dangerous battle was quickly turned around.

The remaining dozens of controlled Beastmen were soon all seriously injured, subdued, and bound with sturdy vines.

The surviving members of the Leopard Clan gradually gathered from their hiding places or battle positions. Most of them were injured, their faces a mixture of sorrow, fear, and a glimmer of relief.

They looked at Yan Lie, their eyes full of gratitude.
