Chapter 577: Chapter 574: Misunderstanding Resolved

They immediately turned their suspicious gazes on Bai Wanwan and her group of Beastmen.

The leading Fox Clan male’s face darkened. The Bone Spear in his hand rose in an instant, pointing directly at Xin Feng, his voice cold and filled with killing intent. "What did you do to Hua Han? Why has he become like this?"

The other Fox Clan males immediately fanned out, subtly encircling Bai Wanwan’s group. The atmosphere grew instantly taut, ready to snap at any moment!

Facing the spear tip pointed at him, Xin Feng’s expression didn’t change. He remained calm and explained in a clear voice, "Please, everyone, calm down. This is a misunderstanding. Hua Han is our family; we would never harm him. And this,"

He gestured to Bai Wanwan beside him, "is our Wife, the Holy Female Bai Wanwan. We came here because Hua Han was worried about the Fox Clan’s safety and specifically wanted to come back and check on things."

"Family? Wife?" The Fox Clan males looked at each other, clearly disbelieving.

’Hua Han found a Wife out there?’

"Then what in the world is going on with Hua Han? Why doesn’t he recognize us?" the leading male demanded sharply, not lowering his spear.

Xin Feng sighed, knowing he had to explain everything clearly. "Hua Han was in an accident. His mind was controlled by Dark Energy, which is why he’s sometimes lucid and sometimes like this. We are trying to find a way to save him. If you don’t believe us, you can take us to see his Father Beast and Mother. When Hua Han becomes lucid again, he can explain it to you himself. Everything will be clear then."

Dubious, the Fox Clan males put their heads together and whispered amongst themselves.

Hua Han’s condition was indeed strange, and they couldn’t make up their minds.

’We can’t fully trust what these outsiders say.’

Finally, the lead male motioned to a companion with his eyes. "Go, have the Clan Leader, the Wife, and the others come over!"

The male immediately turned and agilely disappeared into the depths of the Stone Forest.

The surroundings quieted down. The Fox Clan males stared intently at Bai Wanwan’s group, the atmosphere growing tense.

Before long, the sound of hurried footsteps approached.

A beautiful female with a graceful, dignified air, who bore a slight resemblance to Hua Han around her eyes, was walking briskly toward them, accompanied by several tall, equally handsome males.

It was Hua Han’s Mother and her Beast Husbands.

As soon as they arrived, their eyes immediately locked onto Hua Han, who was being supported by Yan Lie.

Seeing her son’s strange, vacant expression, the Mother and one of the males instantly had their eyes well up.

The Mother’s other Beast Husband was the Fox Clan Leader. His face was full of authority as his sharp gaze swept over Xin Feng and Bai Wanwan. "What is going on here? How did Hua Han end up like this?"

Xin Feng repeated his earlier explanation, his tone even more sincere.

Hua Han’s Mother couldn’t stop herself from rushing to Hua Han’s side. She stroked his cheek with a trembling hand, her voice choked with sobs. "Hua Han... my child, you were fine when you left. How did you become like this?"

Perhaps the call of blood ties had a faint effect; Hua Han’s vacant eyes seemed to flicker for a moment, but they quickly returned to their original state.

Hua Han’s Father Beast looked at his son’s condition, then at Xin Feng’s group—especially the extraordinary Bai Wanwan, who was being protected in their midst. After a moment of contemplation, he waved his hand, signaling for the clansmen to lower their weapons.

The Fox Clan Leader, standing nearby, warned, "I hope what you’ve said is true. If you dare to deceive us, we will risk everything to fight you with the full strength of our clan."

’It was only then that Bai Wanwan realized how important imprinting was. If she and Hua Han had been imprinted, everything would be self-evident.’

’But as it was, they could only wait for Hua Han to wake up.’

The Fox Clan led them to a clean and spacious stone house.

Perhaps seeing Hua Han’s closeness to and reliance on Bai Wanwan, their suspicion finally wavered, and their attitude toward her improved significantly.

Hua Han’s Mother and Father Beast were still worried, so they moved into a place nearby and came to stay with Hua Han every day.

However, seeing their son remain unresponsive, the two of them often had red-rimmed eyes. Since they didn’t fully trust Bai Wanwan and her companions, she found it difficult to offer comfort.

On the evening of the third day, as the afterglow of the sunset fell upon Hua Han’s eyelashes, they fluttered gently. After a brief moment of confusion, clarity finally returned to his beautiful, almond-shaped eyes.

The first thing he did was search for Bai Wanwan. When he saw her sitting not far away, talking quietly with Xin Feng, his heart finally settled back into place.

"Hua Han? You’re awake?" Hua Yu, who had been keeping watch by his side, was the first to notice the change in her son and leaned in with pleasant surprise.

Hua Han was taken aback for a moment, but a smile spread across his face when he saw his family.

"Father Beast, Mother, I’m back."

Tears were already streaming down Hua Yu’s face. "It’s good that you’re back. Your Father Beast and I will find a way to help you."

Hua Han’s voice was a little hoarse, but his tone was exceptionally clear and serious. "Yes. Don’t worry, Wanwan has a way to save me. I came back this time because I have something important to tell you."

He reached out and tightly grasped the hand of Bai Wanwan, who was walking toward him, lacing their fingers together. "Father Beast, Mother, this is Wanwan. She is the Wife I have chosen, and we are already mated."

He paused, his gaze sweeping over the males standing nearby, and continued, "These are Zhu Xiu, Xin Feng, Yin Ze, and Yan Lie. They are all Wanwan’s Beast Husbands, and now they are the family and brothers to whom I can entrust my life. I was only able to make it back alive thanks to Wanwan and them protecting me along the way. And when I was injured and had lost my memory, it was Wanwan who took care of me day and night."

Hua Yu and her partners were all relieved.

Hua Yu, in particular, felt her face flush as she recalled how she had been skeptical and had even treated Bai Wanwan with scrutiny and suspicion just two days ago.

Fortunately, out of politeness, she had always remained courteous and respectful and hadn’t said anything out of line.

She immediately stood up, went forward, and grabbed Bai Wanwan’s other hand, her eyes filled with sincere gratitude and apology.

"Wanwan... dear child, so that’s how it is! We were so foolish before, we almost misunderstood you! Thank you. If it weren’t for you, who knows what would have happened to that boy Hua Han..."

Her voice was choked with emotion. The way she looked at Bai Wanwan changed completely, from polite and distant to a fond and satisfied affection that grew the more she looked.

’Such a beautiful and loyal female... her son is truly lucky.’

Hua Yu felt all her previous worries evaporate, leaving only joy in her heart.

She held Bai Wanwan’s hand, unwilling to let go, looking her up and down. Her tone was incredibly warm. "Wanwan, it must have been a hard journey for you all! From now on, this is your home. If you need anything at all, just tell your Mother. Don’t be a stranger!"

Hua Han’s Father Beast also stepped forward. With a gentle smile on his face, he solemnly thanked Xin Feng and the others.

The atmosphere in the stone house instantly became warm and harmonious.

Hua Yu, especially, held onto Bai Wanwan, asking about everything under the sun—from the dangers of their journey to her favorite foods. She seemed to wish she could immediately present Bai Wanwan with all the best things she had. Her enthusiasm was so intense that even Hua Han found it both funny and heartwarming, and a warm feeling filled his heart.
