Chapter 608: Chapter 605: Forcibly Interrupted
He trapped her firmly beneath him, between his scorching embrace and the soft animal hides, his shadow looming over her...
The moonlight, too, seemed scalded by the suddenly scorching air, growing hazy and suggestive.
He seized control of the rhythm in an instant. Like a surging tide, wave after relentless wave pulled her irresistibly into the deepest eddies of passion.
She was like a helpless boat, tossed about by his movements. Her slender fingers clung feebly to his powerful arms, leaving a series of unintentional scratches on his solid back.
Their ragged breaths mingled, shattering against locking lips and teeth, against the press of scorching skin on skin.
He was like a tireless traveler who had finally found an oasis all his own, greedily drinking in her sweetness and warmth, leading her up to the dazzling clouds...
An unknown amount of time passed before the storm finally subsided for a moment.
Bai Wanwan gave him a little push. She was so exhausted she had no strength left; all she wanted was to roll over and sleep.
Jin Yi lovingly pulled the boneless Bai Wanwan into a tight embrace, letting her pillow her head on his arm. Her body was pliant and weak, the corners of her eyes still flushed with an alluring crimson.
He lowered his head and gently kissed her sensitive, reddened earlobe. His deep voice, laced with post-coital languor and a hint of playful amusement, sounded in her ear. "Tired already? Wanwan... This is just the beginning."
Heaven knew how much longing and energy he had saved up.
Bai Wanwan didn’t even have the strength to lift her eyelids. Snuggled limply in his arms, she couldn’t help but lament inwardly upon hearing his words.
’This might be "just the beginning" for him, but for me, it’s night after night of passion, taking turns for "battle"!’
And her Beast Husbands were all Red Rank beasts who knew nothing of fatigue. This sweet burden was becoming a bit too much for her to bear.
All she could do was let out a faint protest through her nose, snuggling deeper into his embrace to find a more comfortable spot.
Jin Yi, clearly far from satisfied, lowered his head to pepper her with kisses.
Their recent intimacy had been but a few drops of rain after a long drought; instead of sating him, it had only stirred up a deeper, long-suppressed thirst.
He murmured sweet nothings to the flushed, hazy-eyed female beneath him, coaxing her to respond more...
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!
A series of slightly rushed, forceful knocks that could not be ignored came from outside, clearly penetrating the door.
Jin Yi’s movements froze, his brow instantly knitting together. The frustration of being so forcefully interrupted was like an arrow stopped on a taut string; he was tempted to just ignore the maddening noise.
Right now, he only wanted to focus on the warmth and softness in his arms.
"Jin Yi, open the door."
The voice from outside was Chou Rong’s—steady and highly recognizable.
Her mind still hazy and steeped in passion, Bai Wanwan heard it too. A sliver of clarity returned, and she quickly patted his solid shoulder. Her voice, still breathy and soft from their lovemaking, held a trace of urgency. "Chou Rong is back... Get up first, see what he wants."
Jin Yi was extremely reluctant. His muscles tensed with the effort of holding himself back, but he never went against Wanwan’s explicit wishes.
Besides, even if Chou Rong was back, he surely wouldn’t try to take Wanwan from him tonight.
"Nn," he grunted sullenly. Filled with unsatisfied frustration, he still gently pulled the soft blanket over, carefully tucking Bai Wanwan in from head to toe.
Only then did he grab the Beast Skin Skirt from the side and wrap it around his waist. Radiating residual heat and obvious displeasure, he stalked toward the door.
Yanking the door open, Jin Yi’s tall, imposing frame blocked the entrance. The displeasure of being interrupted was written plainly on his handsome face, and his eyes looked heavy in the dim light of the hallway. "Wanwan’s asleep."
He deliberately lowered his voice, creating an atmosphere that suggested they should not be disturbed.
"Asleep?" Chou Rong stood outside the door, his sharp gaze sweeping over Jin Yi’s appearance—the clear traces of passion, the still-unsettled aura. His tone was full of disbelief.
But he didn’t force his way in.
"The Clan Leader of the Flood Dragon Clan, Jiao Yuan, has come to the Tiger Clan," Chou Rong stated concisely, his gaze calm. "He wants to see Wanwan."
A flicker of surprise flashed in Jin Yi’s eyes when he heard this.
He had followed Bai Wanwan to another continent, so he naturally knew of her connection to that powerful Clan Leader of the Flood Dragon Clan, Jiao Yuan.
He subconsciously glanced back into the room.
By now, Bai Wanwan had already sat up, clutching the blanket to herself.
Hearing the name "Jiao Yuan," she hesitated for only a moment before reaching for the clothes at the head of the bed and beginning to dress in silence.
A moment later, she had straightened her dress. Though her hair was still a bit messy and a faint blush remained on her cheeks, the clarity had returned to her eyes.
She walked to the doorway and stood beside Jin Yi, her gentle, limpid gaze falling on Chou Rong. "You’re back?"
Seeing her in this state—looking thoroughly loved—Chou Rong clenched his back teeth. He knew her exquisite taste all too well.
Even though he’d had her to himself every day for the past few days, he was still completely insatiable.
"Did he say what it was about specifically?" Bai Wanwan’s voice pulled his attention back.
She was a little puzzled. ’Could something urgent have happened?’
"He said he was worried about you. He heard this continent hasn’t been peaceful lately, so he came specially to see you."
"That’s it?" Bai Wanwan’s delicate brows furrowed. The reason seemed too simple.
’Crossing a dangerous ocean just to make sure I’m safe?’
"Yes. That’s all he’s said so far. He didn’t mention anything else," Chou Rong confirmed.
Hearing that it was just a visit and not some life-or-death emergency, Bai Wanwan suddenly just wanted to go back to bed.
"Since it’s not urgent, I won’t go see him tonight." She made her decision. "Just arrange a place for them to stay. I’ll go see him tomorrow when I have time."
Chou Rong’s gaze fell on her face, noting her weariness. "Alright. Don’t tire yourself out. Rest early."
After saying that, he shot a glance at Jin Yi before turning and striding away.
Once he was gone, Jin Yi shut the door.
He reached out, wrapped an arm around Bai Wanwan’s waist, and pulled her back into his embrace.
He keenly sensed that although she had refused to meet immediately, her mind had already drifted far away, no longer completely focused on the two of them.
He lowered his head, rubbing his chin against the crown of her head. His voice was husky from their earlier activities. "Are you worried about your... Father Beast?"
Bai Wanwan rested her face against his warm chest and shook her head. "I’m not worried. You know, Jin Yi,"
She looked up, her gaze complicated. "I’m not his real cub. I just never thought he would travel thousands of miles to come here out of worry."
This concern from her Father Beast made her, the soul occupying his daughter’s body, feel a little strange.
If he were here for some other reason, she could have just ignored him.
’But what if he really came because he was worried about the original owner of this body?’
