Chapter 64: Chapter 64: How Could It Be Him

Bai Wanwan ignored him, anxiously asking the system, "Hua Sheng, is the tiger cub’s injury serious? Will he need an Elixir Pill to save his life?"

’It’s a little serious. A cub without a Talent might have already died... But the tiger cub’s Father Beast is powerful, and the cub was born a Yellow Rank Male. Don’t worry, Host. He’ll be fine after a couple of days of rest.’

Hearing the system’s words, Bai Wanwan finally put her mind at ease.

This was the first time Yin Da had spoken so softly to a female, and she had ignored him.

He spun around anxiously before turning and striding outside.

For over a decade, the Wandering Beastmen had plundered countless small tribes, leaving Wandering Beast City with a good dozen living Witch Doctors.

He arrived at the Witch Cave and gave a direct order, "The Holy Female’s cub is injured. Go to my residence at once. You must heal it."

The Holy Female was still his favorite, and he didn’t want to make her angry over a single cub.

After giving his orders to the Witch Doctor, he didn’t return to his residence. Instead, he turned on his heel and headed in another direction.

Outside the stone house, pairs of Wandering Beastmen stood guard on all sides.

Yin Da walked over, pushed the door open, and went inside.

The entire house was empty and desolate. He walked to the innermost room.

In the center of the room was a small pool of water.

Yin Da walked to the edge of the pool and stared at the bottom for a moment.

Only after confirming that there were no issues did he crouch down and scoop up a bowl of water with a stone bowl.

The water in the bowl was crystal clear.

Without a word, he carried the bowl and headed back outside.

He was in and out in an instant, not lingering at all, and failed to notice a shadow emerge from behind a Stone Pillar after he left.

Zhu Xiu walked to the edge of the pool, also looking down into it.

The water was so clear one could see straight to the bottom.

At the very bottom lay a dark black stone, emitting a faint glow...

*******

The four powerful beastmen from another tribe who had come seeking allegiance were seated in a spacious stone house.

All sorts of food were laid out before them, with females to wait on them hand and foot.

When had they ever enjoyed such treatment? Every one of them was beside themselves with excitement...

Yin Da was unsurprised when he walked in and saw the scene. He pointed smugly at the females on the floor. "Never been served by a female in your old tribe? No matter. You’ve come to Wandering Beast City now. Here, the males are in charge. If you want females, however many you want, you just take them!"

The females’ defiant spirits had long since been broken, and they didn’t dare to resist.

Three of the visiting beastmen could no longer restrain themselves, pulling the females up from the floor and into their arms.

Yin Da placed the bowl of water he was carrying on the edge of the table.

His gaze swept over the four visiting beastmen, finally landing on the most powerful male among them.

He studied the male for a moment. ’I must find a way to make him stay,’ he thought. ’This male’s strength might be on par with Zhu Xiu’s.’

As long as he could recruit more powerful beastmen, his Wandering Beast City would, sooner or later, become a great city under his leadership.

"Chie Li, why aren’t you letting a female serve you?"

The male called Chie Li slowly raised his eyes, his gaze casually sweeping over the kneeling female beside him. "I hear the males of Wandering Beast City can live as they please. The females here are beautiful, exceptionally fertile, and there’s even a Holy Female..."

Hearing the words "Holy Female," Yin Da’s expression shifted.

"If you don’t like the female before you, I’ll have a few more brought over."

Chie Li was noncommittal, his attitude bordering on arrogant.

If Yin Da could tolerate Zhu Xiu, he could certainly tolerate other males—as long as they were powerful enough and remained under his control.

Before long, four or five more females were brought in by Wandering Beastmen.

Yin Da chuckled. "In Wandering Beast City, females are nothing more than playthings for males. You don’t need to stick to just one. Take whichever one you like."

Chie Li’s gaze slid over the females again. He then let out a soft laugh. "Does the City Lord stand by his word?"

"Of course. The females of Wandering Beast City are yours for the choosing. But... the Holy Female is the exception."

Chie Li turned his head, his gaze meeting Yin Da’s, who was seated in the place of honor.

"Then what if I want the Holy Female?"

Anger began to rise in Yin Da’s eyes.

Not even Zhu Xiu had ever spoken to him in such a tone.

Just as he was about to put the newcomer in his place, Chie Li spoke first. "I have a habit of spouting nonsense, City Lord. Please don’t take offense. But... does Wandering Beast City truly have a Holy Female?"

Hearing the words "Holy Female," the other three forgot about the females beside them and stared at Yin Da.

"City Lord, we came to pledge our allegiance because we heard Wandering Beast City has a Holy Female."

"City Lord, can we see the Holy Female?"

Yin Da had no desire to let Bai Wanwan meet other males, but right now, he was desperate for these beastmen to join Wandering Beast City.

After a moment’s hesitation, he spoke to the Wandering Beastman beside him. "Go and bring the Holy Female here."

He failed to notice that as he said this, Chie Li, who was holding the stone bowl, froze for a split second.

Back in Yin Da’s stone house, the Witch Doctor was examining the tiger cub’s injuries.

"Please rest assured, Holy Female. The cub has only suffered a minor injury. I’ll give him some Stone Banana Leaf Juice shortly, and he’ll be better in a day or two."

With both the system and the Witch Doctor saying the tiger cub would be fine, Bai Wanwan was completely relieved.

But the tiger cub was listless, and his sickly appearance was truly pitiful.

She held him close, comforting him in her arms.

The tiger cub’s whole body ached. He leaned into his Mother’s embrace, filled with dependence.

"Holy Female, I’ll return now to prepare the Stone Banana Leaf Juice. I’ll bring it for the cub shortly."

Bai Wanwan, still holding the cub, personally saw the Witch Doctor to the door. Just as she was about to go back inside, she saw two Wandering Beastmen walking toward her.

"Holy Female, the City Lord requests that you come with us."

"Where?"

"The City Lord is entertaining some visiting beastmen and has asked you to join them."

"My tiger cub is injured. I don’t want to go."

"Please come with us, Holy Female."

The two beastmen’s tone left no room for negotiation. They had no respect for females to begin with, and certainly not when the City Lord himself had given an order.

Bai Wanwan could see from their stance that they were prepared to use force if she didn’t go with them.

After a slight hesitation, she put down the tiger cub.

"Cat Cubs, take care of your little brother. Mama has to go out for a little while."

"Meeow..."

The two little Cat Cubs immediately sprang up to stand in front of the tiger cub, guarding him on either side.

The sight warmed Bai Wanwan’s heart. She raised her hand and stroked each of them on the head before getting up and walking toward the two Wandering Beastmen.

"Let’s go..."

The Wandering Beastmen led her toward the main road that ran through the center of the city.

In all her time in Wandering Beast City, Bai Wanwan had never had the chance to venture far from Yin Da’s residence.

She looked all around as she walked, taking the opportunity to observe the layout of Wandering Beast City. It would make her escape easier when the time came.

"City Lord, the Holy Female is here."

Bai Wanwan saw that the spacious room was filled with beastmen.

A vulgar scene was even playing out, utterly devoid of any beauty.

Bai Wanwan averted her gaze and slowly walked toward Yin Da.

The moment she drew near, Yin Da grabbed her hand and pulled her down to sit beside him.

"Are you still angry? What did the Witch Doctor say about the tiger cub?"

"The Witch Doctor said it’s nothing serious. I lost my temper with you just now... You’re not mad at me, are you?"

Her eyes seemed to hook into him, and with her looking at him like that, how could Yin Da possibly stay angry?

"I’m not. But in the future, you can’t lose your temper with me over the cubs."

"Okay."

After she replied, Bai Wanwan sensed a persistent gaze on her.

She turned her head and saw that the visiting males in the room were all staring at her.

They looked completely different from the Wandering Beastmen—far more handsome and dashing.

Her gaze slid past them one by one, then froze.

’How could it be him?’
