Aunt Lu stood up and introduced them with a smile. "This is Chou Rong’s Wife, the tiger cub’s Mother."

Hearing that this was Chou Rong’s Wife, Zhuo Ling’s heart sank.

She had specifically asked Aunt Lu before if Chou Rong had taken a mate.

Aunt Lu had said no. Then he brought back a cub, and Aunt Lu said the tiger cub had no Mother.

"Yes, and I’m due in about ten days."

Bai Wanwan rubbed her belly. ’I hope I have a few more high-Talent cubs,’ she prayed internally. ’That’s the only way my Points balance will go up.’

Zhuo Ling’s expression shifted again as she stared at Bai Wanwan. "Is this litter Chou Rong’s as well?"

"No. Their Father Beast is a Silver Wolf."

’A Silver Wolf...’ she thought. ’That’s a mutated wolf. Their Talent is far superior to that of an ordinary Wolf Beast.’

Zhuo Ling felt a pang of jealousy. She had thought Chou Rong was already impressive enough, but she hadn’t expected this female to have other powerful Beast Husbands.

’Compared to that, the Beast Husbands she had so painstakingly chosen seemed like nothing.’

Reeling from one shock after another, Zhuo Ling took a deep breath and set the Snow Beast Meat aside. "Aunt Lu, I’ll leave this Snow Beast Meat here. You should eat it soon before it spoils."

"Then I won’t stand on ceremony with you, Aunt Lu."

Zhuo Ling smiled at Bai Wanwan. "I should be heading back now."

As she turned and walked past Chou Rong, she couldn’t resist sneaking another glance at him.

Coupled with the deliberate obstruction from the Clan Leader of the Golden Lion Tribe, years had passed. She now had four Beast Husbands, but Jin Yi still hadn’t agreed to become one of them.

Still, he would visit her every so often, always bringing many new and interesting gifts.

’Counting the days, he should be here right after the snow melts.’

’This time, I must make him stay. I will make him my Beast Husband.’

「Back at Aunt Lu’s home」

Aunt Lu carried the cubs back to their den to sleep.

Chou Rong walked over to Bai Wanwan. "Bai Wanwan, I have something to tell you."

Chou Rong didn’t deny it. "Yes. I’ll have another Beastman raise them for now. Once I’ve handled my affairs, I’ll raise them myself. You don’t need to worry."

Bai Wanwan frowned. "Since you can’t raise them yourself right now, why not just let them stay with me? When you’ve handled your business, if you still want to take them, I won’t stand in your way."

Chou Rong stared at her. "You’ll have many more Beast Husbands in the future. And many more cubs."
