Xin Feng strode out of the stone house, but Bai Wanwan didn’t follow. It was simply too cold outside; she couldn’t stand the temperature.

Before long, Xin Feng returned. He shook his head at Bai Wanwan and said, "I didn’t see who left it."

Bai Wanwan hesitated for a moment. "I think I saw the back of a male."

"We don’t know any other Beastmen here. Who would give someone prey during the snow season?" ’And one every day at that!’

That Aunt Lu is just an ordinary female. Her Beast Husband is probably old, too. They’d have a hard time just feeding their own family, so how could they possibly be the ones sending us prey every day?

"I’ll talk to Zhu Xiu about this when he gets back."

He put his arm around Bai Wanwan, led her further inside, and helped her sit on the stone bed.

Just then, the little cubs started to kick up a fuss in her belly. After sitting down, Bai Wanwan took his hand and placed it on her stomach. "Can you feel that?"

Xin Feng felt something thumping under his palm, and with quite a bit of force.

’These are my cubs!’

A strange feeling welled up inside him. "Wanwan, I felt it. Does it bother you when they make a ruckus like this?"

In truth, it wasn’t very uncomfortable. This litter of cubs was usually quite peaceful.

But she wanted to tease him, so she deliberately put on a long face. "It’s pretty uncomfortable right now. I think they’re fighting in there."

Xin Feng’s expression twisted with worry. "Should I rub your belly for you?"

Finished, he stared at Bai Wanwan’s face, observing her expression. "Still uncomfortable?"

"Mhm," Bai Wanwan feigned a frown, leaning halfway into his embrace.

Xin Feng went completely rigid, so worried he didn’t know what to do.

Bai Wanwan secretly peeked up at him. ’It’s the first time I’ve seen him look so helpless,’ she thought. ’I hope I don’t actually frighten him.’

Ultimately, she couldn’t resist and let out a snort of laughter in his arms.

Xin Feng froze for a second. Seeing her beaming face, he immediately understood. The tension vanished from his expression, replaced by a resigned smile.

"You were just teasing me? You’re not actually uncomfortable?" He still had to be sure.

"Mhm, I was just teasing you. I’m not uncomfortable at all."

She raised a hand to stroke his long neck. "You were so nervous... but I like it."

Xin Feng was used to her occasional pranks. He gently took her mischievous hand. "You can tease me all you want, but you have to tell me the truth when you’re actually uncomfortable."

Just as he spoke, Zhu Xiu walked in from outside.

Xin Feng looked up at him and asked, "Did the Clan Leader agree?"

"He agreed. I just went to see the place. It has three stone rooms, so it’ll be much warmer."

Bai Wanwan’s eyes lit up. "So, when are we moving?"

This stone house was too cramped. The sleeping and cooking areas were in the same space, and with two tall males, the slightest movement made it feel incredibly crowded.

"We can move today. The sooner we move, the sooner we can get everything set up before you give birth."

The family quickly came to an agreement and decided to move that very day.

The two males were men of action, and they quickly packed up everything in the stone house.

Zhu Xiu carried her in his arms, using his Talent Power to ward off the biting cold outside.

Xin Feng followed behind them, laden with their belongings.

The new stone house wasn’t far from the one Aunt Lu had arranged for them, only about one or two hundred meters away.

Bai Wanwan let Zhu Xiu carry her inside.

The stone house was relatively spacious, with a layout of two separate rooms and a main living area. Bai Wanwan observed it for a moment and was very satisfied.

Zhu Xiu carried her directly into the largest of the stone rooms.

"The wind can’t get in here. That way, when you have the cubs, neither you nor they will get cold."

The two males were incredibly capable. Without Bai Wanwan having to lift a finger, they arranged everything perfectly.

Nestled in her down quilt, Bai Wanwan couldn’t help but reflect. When the snow season first began, with only Xin Feng at home, she could even go out to catch fish without anyone stopping her.

’They wouldn’t be delivering prey this consistently for his and Xin Feng’s sake. It could only be for the young female. And what could their motive be for giving gifts to a young female?’

’Zhu Xiu didn’t have to think hard to guess their intentions.’

"Ouch!"

Bai Wanwan, who had been in the middle of talking to him, suddenly cried out.

The hand Zhu Xiu was using to support her stiffened. "What’s wrong?"

"My stomach hurts... I think I’m going into labor."

After speaking to Zhu Xiu, she had no time to spare for Xin Feng. She immediately shouted to her system, ’Hua Sheng, quick, get me the painless childbirth exchange!’

The two males reached an agreement. No matter how much Bai Wanwan argued, they insisted on fetching the Witch Doctor before they could feel at ease.

Bai Wanwan watched them drag away two whole hunted animals, and her heart ached as if a piece of her own flesh were being carved out. It felt like a complete waste, just giving them away.

As she watched Xin Feng drag the prey outside, her belly felt increasingly full and tight.

Zhu Xiu’s face was grim. He gripped her hand so tightly that the veins on his arm bulged.

"Are you in pain?"

Bai Wanwan turned her head to look at him. His face was deathly pale, and his features were all scrunched together in a pained expression.

It was as if he were the one in agony.
